Haru takes her out to eat and they talk about food choices and habits.
Clapping was heard and a smile lay on his face in contrast to lights look of annoyance.
"5 days in a row I'm impressed"
Five days she came. She wasn't sure why but it certainly got better over time. And it wasn't like they did much she would approach him, he would acknowledge it and then they would separate without conversation. It was weird but the low expectations helped her build confidence to show up.
"Should we go for a reward?"
He said standing up. She blinked at him but he didn't make eye contact looking off in the distance. Then as if coming to a conclusion nodded and turned to her.
"Alright, let's go"
She followed as he lead them to a quint noddle shop. The man are the bar nodded in his direction as he walked himself in and took a seat at the booth.
"You come here often"
She stated not really asking.
"I don't work far so I've frequented a few of these places around here."
He took a seat opposite to her and she felt her first tighten underneath the table. The menu lay in front of her and she calmly flipped through it glad he wasn't staring at her in hopes of conversation.
"haru! Long time no see. Been busy lately?"
A man with a bandanna on stood at the table beaming. Haru smiled and waved his hand.
"Just caught up in some stuff. Hows ryu?"
That made the man huff
"Trouble maker as usual I don't know what to do with that kid. In any case is this a friend of yours?"
Light contained the jump inside as they both looked at her and courteously held out her hand.
"Hi I'm Light"
The guy took with vigor and a grin.
"Yuusuke. Owner of this dump. If you need anything you ask me"
Light smiled. She could tell he was a good person.
"So you guys on some date or something"
Or not…
"Ahhh….."
Was that what this was? She hadn't even known the guys name until the man had said it? Hold up! Isn't that weird in itself?! They never introduced themselves and here she was with him as if she trusted him!? WHAT WAS WITH THE POWER OF HANDSOME MEN?!
"Or something is fine"
He responded calmly. Yuusuke raised a brow but didn't say anything.
"Alright….. so what can I get for you?"
"Beef ramen is fine with me"
Haru said making Yuusuke laugh.
"And you miss?"
Light smiled,
"Vegetable gyoza is fine"
Yuusuke blinked.
"A side? Nothing else?"
She felt a bit awkward but held firm.
"That's all"
Yuusuke glances at haru but nodded and taking the menus left.
With them now alone again Haru broke the silence.
"They have good noodles"
"I'm vegan"
"It's noodles"
"In meat based broths"
There was silence…..
