Chapter 3 - Chapter three

On the first page of the book, it says Ming Yue became dumbfounded not because she finds the name weird but because she could read the words on it! 'I can read it!'

Eh, wait a bit, 'I can read it?' She looked at the word on the first page again to confirm that she was truly reading words not in alien language and this confirmation surprised her because the word was written in her own language from her former world! 'How is that possible?' She thought or wait, 'did the writer maybe come from my world?' When she came at this conclusion, she was stunned then immediately became overjoyed!

After the joy died down, she started scheming on what to do with the book, she took the book and turned, going back to where the keeper is, "sir, I found this book but, I don't know what is written on it!"

Keeper: "eh?" The keeper took the book and opened it and immediately became stunned which made Ming Yue smirk inwardly meaning that her little scheme worked.

What she meant by scheming is that since she cannot read the language from this place, doesn't it mean vice versa? Since the keeper cannot read it, it means that she just has to find a way to take the book along with the one she picked that is in this place's language and she will officially solve her problem if not taking any book out.

Keeper: "how did this kind of book get in here? It is not even a martial art! Some people are really blind." Ming Yue became puzzled at the word, 'some people' who are they? Oh, whatever, curiosity kills the cat and she doesn't want to be the cat.

Ming Yue immediately came back to her senses when she heard the keeper telling her to go continue her searching.

"Hmm…keeper…?" Ming Yue called

Keeper: "yes?"

"Can I have the book?"

Keeper: "For what? It is going to be destroyed"

"I am practicing writing but, I don't want to mess with the papers I have, so, I wanted this book to write on since you are going to destroy it" hearing this, the keeper sympathised with her for he knows that she was one of the abandoned and until she successfully enters the first realm of martial art, her situation hasn't really changed despite proving her potential.

"Okay, you can have it!" It's going to be destroyed anyway so, there is no value holding into it.

Ming Yue held the book that was given to her by the keeper and bowed to show her gratitude while preening inside her mind for the successful attempt so now, all she just has to do is pick two more books or talisman for that girl because she doesn't need it anymore since the book read < sun and moon >, doesn't it mean that both internal and external are all in one? She hit it big this time! 'Thank you, great predecessor! Thank you, great author, for writing this in language I can read and only I can read!' Well, if there is no other transmigrated or reincarnated in this world!

****

It has been three days since she left the treasury and finally today, she is going to start practicing! It didn't mean that she didn't want to start cultivating quickly but the book said that for first time people, it would be good to start when there is a full moon.

From her understanding of reading the book art, this is a yin and yang type of martial art. The yin which is the moon is the female and the sun which is the yang is the male. The art can be cultivated separately which will be hard but if practiced with a male companion which is also known as Taoist coupling or dual cultivating, the art will be simple since it was made for that but, she is determined to practice it solo because where can she find a male who wants to practice the art together with her as her companion? And she is just too lazy to go search.

What made this book even more amazing is that it contains so much information about cultivation that she couldn't find out even during the disguise. The book says that cultivation is the process of improving health, increasing longevity and growing powerful and by cultivating true essence and training in martial& mystical art, the ultimate goal of attaining godhood and becoming immortal can be achieved.

She Zhuang-Ming Yue doesn't want to attain godhood and immortality that is like a faraway dream she just wants to have a lazy and interesting life that is all.

The book says three things comprises all living beings and they are the first - Essence which is the vitality, power of bloodlines if you have it and is the very basis of the mortal body. The second – is the Energy which is the origin of the dantian true essence and the third – is the Soul which is the primordial spirit and is the marriage of spirit and will. The mortal body, inner world and soul are the most important parts of a martial artist and when a martial artist cultivates, it enhances and temper these three parts thus manifesting the ultimate of a martial artist's cultivation.

The first form of true essence is Qi which is the vital energy that exist in all things. The second form of true essence is spiritual energy of heaven and earth which is the energy of the world and can only be felt at the Xiantian realm of cultivation which is far away from her now. The third form of true essence is the heaven and earth's origin energy which is the basis of all martial cultivation and true essence is the conversion of the heaven and earth's origin energy into one's own energy just in different form so as to fit the body or just say it is the diluted form of heaven and earth's own original pure energy so that the body doesn't burst before becoming strong enough.

Qi circulation is the act of controlling Qi to flow from the dantian through the meridians and back into the dantian in a cycle and doing this helps the body replenish stamina, purify the Qi already present in the body or just entering into the body and it also strengthens the meridians.

So, all she is thinking about now is what to choose between being a martial cultivator or just cultivator. In this world, people can choose to cultivate into three categories and they are pure martial artists that cultivates only the body and believes the body can defeat all things and generally, they use true essence to forge their bodies and thus practice either fist, leg as their weapon and learn body arts that enhances their body strength and their practice is slow and torturous but there is also the pure essence gathering system that only cultivates true essence and neglect their body and is fast in cultivation, it doesn't mean they don't train their bodies, it just mean that they don't do it like pure body martial artists. The third is the one in between them that is the martial cultivators that cultivates both and both has to be in the same stage or level before breaking through a new realm of cultivation.

Although each of them is powerful the martial cultivator seems more balance but if she goes in that direction, she will never have her lazy life so, 'lets go with the pure essence gathering system and she can look for a more powerful shield later on!' thought Ming Yue happily to herself.

And by the way, what she almost forgot is that everything in martial art is divided into Mortal realm, Earth realm and Heaven realm. Thus, martial art books are divided into those three categories and she doesn't know the level of this book that she took from the treasury but it should be top earth realm, right? Oh well... first thing first, start taking in Qi.

To make the first time practicing easy, a full moon is necessary well, a full moon is easiest to come by as she just has to sneak and get the accurate time of when the full moon is going to come. As the book says, there are four types of moons apart from the normal one that radiates every night, that when this art is cultivated during that time, the harvest will be twice and if not thrice the reward for a little effort. The types of moons are; the full moon, blue moon, blood moon and the golden moon.

The full moon is the one coming now and the moon is full which means round, the blue moon is when the moon is close to earth and very bright, the blood moon as the book says, the practitioner of this art has to be careful because this type of moon instil bloodlust into the mind and if not careful enough, the lost of sanity is just a minimum price to pay but the reward is astronomical because during the blood moon, mental ability can be cultivated which is priceless but this type of moon is rarely seen and sometimes can be summoned if a great devil or someone has enough hate to want to destroy everything, yes, this type of moon symbolises destruction people!

The golden moon on the other hand is the most priceless treasure that has never be seen but some people knows that it exists especially those who practice arts that concerns the moon because they can feel it in their blood and soul. When this moon appears, it drops golden energy from the sky, this is the essence of the moon. This essence can heal the darkness of the mind, improve the potential of the body both physical and mental, repair damaged mental power and the soul. When this moon appears, all things can gain sentient if bathed in it.

Seated cross legged on top of the dilapidated house beam, Ming Yue started cultivating the art as soon as the full moon came up. She has already searched the perimeter to ensure that someone would not enter accidentally to see her otherwise her problems will become big.

She started taking in the moon's energy little by little following along with the Qi circulation pattern image on the book but, she was soon amazed at how her body seems to be drawing in more and more energy with no end in sight. Her body seems to be soaking in it as if starved and her mind felt so relaxed that she wants to sleep.

'didn't the book say that it would be hard?' she felt like flipping the table as expected, she shouldn't have believed the book and cause herself anxiety! 'I forgot this is the law of transmigration!' what she meant by law of transmigration is that anything that seems difficult to those of this world is the easiest thing for transmigrators.
