Chapter 2 - 2. Who are you?

They watched from a distance at this new place. The light showed only on the physical plane but They could still sense it. They were so focussed on the change that was before Them that another almost escaped notice.

In the distance another being had taken form. A similar presence to the first only not so commanding of attention. There was no loud cry, no giggle of creation. It was almost a completely opposite being. They felt it's presence after it had already begun creating.

They reached out and felt the energy in the void. It was dark, bleak and rather gloomy. No big show of light. In fact there was hardly any light whatsoever. Their attention was only a moment, far grander things we're happening else where.

When Their attention returned to the light there was immense change. Before it had been barren, nothing to nice. Now there was lush greenery. A large hedge-like fence was growing slowly around the perimeter. A small gate led to the void as an entrance making Them smile. It seems They were welcome to enter and appreciate. They made their way to it, taking a physical appearance before entering.

The void was an infinite nothing. The garden had a finite plane in the void with a hedge-like fence showing the boundaries. Once They stepped through the gate the hedg had disappeared giving way to a vast field purple with heather. A small path cut through leading to a small lake in the distance.

They were amazed at how much this being accomplished. They started down the path taking in every detail of the vast landscape. The sloping hill, the lake crystal lake and the treeline on the distant shore reaching toward the sky. It was all so peaceful and calm.

The smell of the lake grew stronger as They neared the edge: so fresh and wild. They stopped just shy of the shore, their attention caught by something in the water. They had been noticed as well for it started to come closer to the shore.

As it rose out of the water and walked closer to shore They could see long golden hair dripping around it's shoulders. It's peircing ice gray eyes blinked slowly, watching them. A light cloth clung to it's form, slowly dripping water. A broad smile spread across it's face as it stopped in front of them.

"I knew I would see you again." A sultry, calm voice emerged from it's lips.

"What are you? What shall I call you?" They were unsure of this being?

"I am a Goddess." Her smile flashed again. "Please call me Lifita. I am the Goddess of all living thing."

"Lifita." They savored the name, letting it roll off their tongue. "This will do."
