Lucretia sat alone on a bench in the school's garden starring down on her feet playfully thinking about how things has gone bad between herself and Philip.
"I never thought things will go this bad between us. I couldn't even tell him how I really feel about him." she murmured to herself with a sigh.
She was still starring down lost in her thoughts when she suddenly saw a hand with an ice cream in front of her. She quickly looked up and saw Jayden smiling.
"Here, for you." he muttered.
"Thank you." she slowly mumbled and took the ice cream.
"I know you love ice creams so I got it for you. Hope you like the flavor." he uttered as he sat beside her.
"Yes..." she responded with a smile.
"Anyway, how did you know I was here? I even managed to dodge Mimie and Crystal but you found me." she added, smiling sheepishly.
"Hmm.., I was passing by when I saw you here so I went over to get some ice creams to cheer you up. Sitting here alone like this, I know you are thinking about Philip."
"Hmm..." she mumbled, slightly smiling.
"I heard you fought with him yesterday."
"I couldn't help it but I'm sorry if you feel upset about this although I don't regret hitting him."
Lucretia stared at him with a smile on her face and patted his thigh.
"Never mind Jay, I'm glad you did. You know what, he really deserved to be hit. I wish I could do that myself." she muttered with a chuckle.
Jayden also chuckled, slightly shaking his head.
"Jayden....?"
"Um?"
"I'm sorry am not able to return your love the way I should. I...."
"Hey..." he hastily chipped in.
"I understand how you feel. I'm here for you, I will always be beside you to cheer you up and also give you a shoulder to lean on whenever you need it. Okay..?" he mumbled with a raised eyebrow.
"You..."
Krriingg...
The bell went off.
"I think we should go now else we'll be late for class." he uttered as he stood up and offered a hand to Lucretia.
"Okay..." she answered and reached for it.
"Let's go" she added with a grin and the left to the class, walking hand in hand.
Philip saw them at a distance gnashed his teeth in anger.
"I hate seeing him around her." he whispered.
Mike who was walking beside him saw his reaction and smirked.
"Are you jealous?" he queried with a smile.
"Why don't you just accept the fact that you have feelings for Lucretia and stop pretending that you hate her. Stop deceiving yourself dear friend." he added.
Philip's face was raging with so much anger now. He thew a glare at Mike and stormed off.
"Hey...., what did I say wrong?" he exclaimed after him. Just then, Eugene joined him.
"Mike..?, Where is Philip?" he queried, panting.
"He left."
"Why...?, what happened?" he questioned curiously.
"Well, I told him the truth which he has refuse to come to terms with."
"Oh my God, Mike." he mumbled and dashed off after Philip.
Mike shrugged and trod after them.
**********
It was 3pm now, Lucretia stood the hall waiting for Mimie to come back from the classroom.
"What's keeping her? I thought she was just going for her book." she queried as she wait impatiently for her.
"See who we have here." said a voice from behind. She hastily turned to see Daisy approaching.
"Talk of the devil." she muttered to herself.
"Were you missing me?" questioned Daisy as she neared her.
"Huh?" mumbled Lucretia, rolling her eyes as she folded her arms.
"Don't just start with me Daisy. I'm seriously not in the mood for those your dirty games."
"I can really see that loser. I'm just too much for you to handle. Anyway, I warned you earlier but you didn't listen."
"Oh spare me Daisy, I've already had enough of you. You can go ahead and do whatever you like but I promise you one thing, you're so going to pay for it."
"Oops, and who is going to make me?" she uttered as she bust into laughter.
"Don't get ahead of yourself girlfriend, it doesn't suit you." she added.
"You can laugh all you want Daisy because I'm not going to back off that easily. You can count on that" she mumbled, facing head on with Daisy.
"Oh... really..., I can see you've got enough guts." she muttered as they starred at each other fiercely with raging eyes.
Mimie was returning from the class when she saw them starring at each other with so much tension.
"Oh..my..God.." she mumbled to herself and rushed to where they stood. She slightly pulled Lucretia hand from behind.
"I think we should go now Lucretia.." she muttered, pulling her away.
Daisy turned to stare at them, raging with so much anger as their back disappeared into the school compound.
"Bring it on Lucretia..." she muttered.
