Chapter 68 - Succeeded

The thing on Lander's mind was to give Grey a beating infused with his accumulated aura. He wanted to test it out if it wasn't just his luck that he acquired his aura. He wanted to know whether one could gain an aura by being beaten with infused aura on every attack.

Without further ado, Lander attacked Grey with an infused aura. The attack landed that made Grey howl in pain while his parents were dumbstruck, "Master! What are you doing?"

Instead of answering them, he continued his attacks, "Bear with it Grey! You have to! To make us both stronger!"

Upon hearing Lander's words, Grey gritted his teeth and accepted every attacks that landed on him. It was a total loyalty and trust of a beast towards a human.

Time passed when Grey suddenly collapsed due to exhaustion and pain. Lander moved towards him and sighed a relief when he checked that Grey was still breathing. He then took care of him afraid that he would die.

Two days passed when Grey suddenly released an aura that was as strong as Great Duke Bobby's aura. Lander smiled when he saw this while he withstood the aura unlike Grey's parents that limped down.

Grey opened his eyes and was so happy when he felt his body brimming with vitality. He looked at Lander and pounced at him licking him from head to toe.

"It was a success! I'm happy for you Grey, turned out your aura was even stronger than mine. So how about we give your parents a beating now ey?" Lander and Grey smiled mischievously as the two of them turned their heads towards the two wolves who suddenly felt terrified.

Without a word, the two of them dashed at the same time and instantly gave the other two a beating until they passed out.

Meanwhile, while Lander and Grey were taking care of the two wolves, a sudden commotion was happening inside the Elven Forest. It was the aura they suddenly felt, they knew that a beast having an aura was once a legend that could dominate a kingdom.

In the middle of Elven Palace, a beautiful elf was sitting on her throne and behind her were intimidating guards except an old man who was a druid - the Respected Druid. In front of her were elves of higher rankings. They were currently having a meeting.

"This is amazing! A beast that could release such a terrifying aura must be a Rank A beast!"

"We have to capture this beast as fast as possible!"

"Only the Orcs knew how to make a beast have their own aura. And a beast that could release an aura on its own must be talented!"

"The last time we had a beast with such caliber was 400 years ago. Unfortunately, it is now on its last breath!"

"And only the Wyvern Empire was currently housing the latest beast that could threaten our forest! We must have that beast no matter what!"

"Silence!" The Elven Queen shouted that made all the Elves quiet, "What do you think, Elder Brother?"

The Elder Brother she was referring to was the Respected Druid, "That aura was exceptionally amazing! It can even rival the aura of mine. I doubt, I could defeat it in a combat!"

"I see, so we have to gather all our forces! I will accompany you this time, Elder Brother." The Elven Queen replied as she gave another command, "Gather all our forces !"

Grey, the reason behind this commotion was now carrying his unconscious parents going towards a river that Lander found not so long ago.

Settling by the river bank, Lander started catching some fishes with Grey's help. After that, Lander collected some herbs and spices in the area. He then started cooking grilled fish and fish sisig (Filipino dish).

The aroma of his cooking permeated the surroundings and not far from them were a group of elves that instantly drooled after smelling the aroma.

"This smell! No! It can't be!" The Respected Druid reacted after smelling the familiar aroma that he also loved.

"What's wrong Elder Brother?" The Elven Queen asked.

"There's only three humans who can create such aromatic fragrance in food. One is a chef, another one is admitted at the Wyvern Capital and the last one is practically dead," The Respected Druid explained.

"You mean this smell is being cooked by one of the two?" The Elven Queen asked with such interest as she was also getting hungry the more time she smells the aroma.

"No! This kind of aroma can't be created by those two. Only that dead human.. wait.. dead? Was he really dead?" The Respected Human began wondering. They didn't see him die so he must have survived that curse. The Respected Druid thought and instantly ordered his mount to dash forward towards Lander's location.

"Hmmph! Elder Brother, can't you at least explain to me well?" The Elven Queen grumbled looking annoyed.

"I'll tell you everything later. For now, you have to follow me!" The Respected Druid hastily said.
