Chapter 64 - Cure?

The next day, Lander woke up with some footsteps. There he saw two breads and a jar placed in front of their cell.

Immediately, the young lady rushed forward and ate one bread like she hasn't eaten for days. She also drank the water inside the jar by large gulps and continued eating the rest of her bread.

Finishing, she was eyeing the other bread but didn't dare to take it. She stayed silent and would constantly gaze at the bread before looking down again. This happened a few times.

Seeing this, Lander chuckled, "Just get it, I can see you haven't eaten for days."

Hearing that, the young woman was so happy that she instantly grabbed the bread and ate big bite after bite. She was almost finished when she noticed Lander staring at her smiling. She blushed and offered the rest of the bread to him.

"HAHA! Why don't you just eat everything? That little piece of bread couldn't even go to my stomach, it would only be digested in my esophagus," Lander joked amused by her actions.

The young lady was even embarrassed but she did eat it anyway as she murmured, "Thank you!"

Despite murmuring, Lander heard it clearly, "You're welcome!"

No one said anything again, the only noise they could here were constant growling from the other cells who were in pain.

Without doing anything, Lander continued his basic training - exercise, shadow fighting and meditating.

The young woman watched her and was always intently watching him with bewildered look.

While meditating, the elderly human came back with a blood drink and told the young woman to drink it. The young woman was scared, she looked at Lander first and seeing he was still with his position and haven't opened his eyes, she instantly drank it afraid that he would see her.

Another day passed when Lander offered his food again but on the third day, the young woman gave half of the one bread to Lander, "You should also eat."

Lander took it, smiled and ate it. He also drank two mouthfuls before giving the jar to the young lady.

The fourth day, Lander noticed he hasn't been coughing ever since he arrived at this place, "How could this be? Or does it mean they gave me the antidote without knowing?"

The fifth day, Lander didn't do his usual training afraid that he was missing something. And surely, during his meditation, he always missed the arrival of the elderly human who was on time to give the blood drinks to the young woman.

The young woman was nervous looking at Lander before looking at the elderly human pleading.

"Oh? You're embarrassed to be seen by that outcast drinking this?" The elderly human asked amused.

"Drink it or I will kill him!" The elderly human threatened while pointing at Lander.

The young woman has tears on her face and she was trembling when she moved closer to the blood.

Watching her, Lander dashed forward and circled his hand on the young lady's waist as he dragged her away from the blood. Instantly, Lander drank the blood and tossed the container away from their cell.

The elderly human wasn't expecting Lander rush actions and instantly released his deathly aura. It was the same aura Lander felt from the devil who gave him the curse, "You ignorant little piece of ant! Haven't you noticed that you are still recovering from the curse? I'll kill you!"

"Then kill me!" Lander answered back bravely looking at eyes of the elderly human with pure bravery and no shred of fear.

"No! If you kill him then kill me too!" The young woman shouted as she moved in front of Lander spreading her two hands acting as a human meat shield.

"Dumb humans!" The elderly human retracted his aura as he stepped away pissed.

"What do you think you're doing?" Lander growled.

"I should be the one asking you that! After you showed your care to me and you would just leave me? You want me to be alone again?" The young woman bursted in tears as she hit Lander on his chest multiple times.

"I don't want to be left alone ever again! I'm scared!" The young woman was still crying as she moved closer to Lander pinning her head on his chest.

"I'm sorry!" That was the only thing Lander could ever say watching her crying as he wrapped his hands on her body comforting her. Then he felt her breasts on his body and remembered how robust they were.

"Please, promise me never to leave me here! Promise me!" The young woman pleaded.

Despite having naughty thoughts, Lander still answered, "I promise!"

Then the young woman hugged him tightly and Lander was having this urge he can't control.

"Please let go," Lander whispered with rugged breathing.

The young woman looked at her with questioning gaze then she moved away, her face was as red as a tomato - she was so embarrassed of her actions.

That was the very first time she did that to a man. It never occurred to her that an outcast would be the very first that she would act intimately. She blushed thinking that and avoided his gaze.

On the other hand, Lander was calming his lust but his baby in between his legs couldn't settle down.

Meditating, Lander was able to push away his negative thoughts. He opened his eyes and remembered the elderly man's words - he was actually recovering from the curse.

Happiness took over him as his goal will never perish again, to meet his uncle and cousin.

Thinking of a plan, Lander wanted to get out of that place, he looked around, called the other cell mates attention but alas, no one cared about him.

Sighing, he moved towards the mummified Xeo and check whether their would be something he could use.

The young woman who was still blushing looked at Lander with confusion, "What are you doing?"

"Do you trust me?" Lander asked her instead.

The young woman blushed even more as she nodded.
