Chapter 54 - Trouble

Following the lady professor, Lander felt awkward as many students were glaring at him, he felt that he was not welcomed there and just wanted to disappear from them as he was not comfortable, "Excuse me professor, but where are we going exactly?"

The lady professor didn't answer as she was still walking forward. Lander felt awkward and moved beside her as she stared at her beauty, "You know professor, your beauty is useless if you always have that serious look on your face. How can you meet your man if you're always showing that kind of face?" Lander said as he directed his eyes towards the path.

He was gazing at one of the tower of the Academy when he felt a chill on his back, he suddenly strode at a large step when he realized he didn't move, even an inch.

"Don't utter anything and just follow me!" The lady professor removed her aura as she silently walked again.

"Did I say anything wrong?" Lander asked Grey who was behind him.

Without saying anything, Lander just followed the lady professor until they entered the main building of the Academy. They were walking in the main hallway when he felt the hostility from the students, "Urgh!"

They then went to the left wing of the building, entering another building with room numbers. He followed the lady professor when they stopped at room 2, 301, "Starting today, this is going to be your room."

When they entered it, it was only a plain room with a bed, a table, chair and it didn't even have a window. The lady professor tossed the keys to him, "Read and understand the rules of the Academy, it was on the scroll on top of that table."

After saying that, the lady professor left. Lander stayed in the room for a while, opened the scroll, read the rules and left. He didn't like the room, he felt suffocated.

He wandered everywhere around the Academy, memorizing each and every passages.

While strolling, the students of the Academy were getting irritated, agitated and disturbed by seeing the mere presence of Lander.

Finally, one student couldn't take it any longer, "Hey outcast! Get out of our sight!"

"And why would I?" Lander questioned that made the attention of every student locked onto him.

"You! How dare you talk back to me!" The student was now pissed as he called out his sword pointing towards Lander.

Upon seeing the student's action, Lander immediately attacked grabbing the hand that was holding the sword. He then gave a kick unto the student's head, "Aaargh!"

"You're looking for trouble!" The student roared when somebody stopped him, "Stop!"

"Senior Crude? Why are you stopping me?" The student asked the one whom he addressed as Crude.

"Are you insane? Fighting in the hallway? Why don't we do it at the Arena?" Crude answered maliciously as he looked at Lander licking his lips.

Lander moved away from them when he heard the Crude guy spoke again grinning, "Are you scared? Why move away?"

"You guys are weak!" Lander replied as he simply smiled and winked at Crude.

"We are weak? HAHAHAHA... That was the funniest line I have ever heard in my entire life!" Crude laughed as he wasn't a bit affected.

"Yeah, so I don't waste my time on weaklings!" Lander replied agitating them even more.

"I applaud you for your bravery as an outcast but, you are not really capable!" Crude replied with sarcasm.

After Crude said those words, Lander dashed towards him throwing his knives simultaneously. Crude evaded the first but wasn't fast enough, but because of his defensive amulet, he wasn't hurt by the second knife that Lander threw.

Despite that, Lander appeared behind Crude and used his strongest punch as he threw it towards his head. Unfortunately for Crude, because he felt the presence of Lander behind him, he immediately turned and it was his face that received the punch, "Crack!"

Crude howled in pain as he felt his nose was disassembled. He was furious and wanted to revenge so he released a Rank C level earth magic, Earth Imprison. This magic could kill a person when trapped inside as it was going smaller and smaller till it became the size of a fist.

Crude smiled upon seeing his successful magic and laughed, "I told you, you are not capable!"

"Indeed, he is not capable!" Lander replied beside him while shaking his head as he showed a face of disappointment.

Everyone in the crowd were speechless. "How did he escape? How could an outcast escape? Impossible!"

"You? How.... how did.. you?" Crude was showing a very stunned expression that he couldn't believe what was happening.

"Hey, are you really planning to kill one of the student here?" Lander replied as he was looking at the Earth Imprison in front of them shrinking at every second passed by.

"Wait... what?" Crude can't fathom what was happening. He was confused.

Before the Earth Imprison magic could kill the person inside. A student, using a sword made a slice on the round Earth Imprison that broke it. Then a person was revealed who was gasping for air, this was the student whom Lander attacked before Crude.

"Thank you so much senior William for helping me!" The student bowed down to his saviour as he felt a certain amount of gratitude.

The savior, who was named William nodded and spoke, "Do not ever underestimate someone, you've all heard about Lapas the outcast. Despite being an outcast, he was able to show his might and dominance in this Academy for three whole years. He even became a great magician surpassing the talent of the elites. He was also the reason why our Academy was able to be recognized as one of the five greatest academies in the Dragon Continent."

William turned to Lander, "Forgive me friend for the misconduct of our juniors. I am William and I apologize in behalf of them."

Lander stopped William when he saw him about to bow down, "There's no need for that courtesy. I only taught them lesson not to mess with me again next time."

"Thank you for understanding then! I would love to have a decent battle with you but I have a mission to finish." William then bade goodbye to Lander as he also whispered to him to be careful because Crude might still do reckless things that will endanger him.

Just as what William told Lander, Crude stood up clenching his fists as he ordered some of his lackeys while smirking while watching the departing figure of Lander.
