Nuvaro: "I was just wondering, why is there so much soot build up on some of the most used looking sets? Is there a reason they do not get cleaned?"
Malynn Taliesian: "There is a reason for that. The soot build up helps to heat the ingredients more evenly to help prevent scorching. When the containers are too clean, the chance of burning the ingredients goes up. Therefore, possibly ruining the item being prepared. The more even the heat, the more medicine is saved."
Nuvaro: "Okay. I understand. This is after all, the most elaborate alchemy set up I have ever had the privilege to see."
Malynn poured the retort into the left hand opening of the glass works. After doing so she set the opening of the retort down inside the tube, like it was meant to fit together.
