Chapter 66 - Chapter 65

She still thinks I'm the Demon King? Maybe I can capitalize off of that. "Of course you will," I said kindly as I squatted down and grabbed her chin, lifting it up so her eyes met mine. "But if you try anything funny, or anything I think is remotely suspicious, I won't hesitate to burn you to nothing." My voice was cold and serious, and I saw the flicker of fear in her eyes before she stood up.

"T-This way." She began walking, leading me to the camp where they held my friends.

"Is that everyone?" I asked as we looked down at the camp from up high. I counted thirty people. And sure enough, I saw Sora and everyone else held in a small metal cage. They looked cramped.

"Yeah, that's everyone. There are no patrols right now. At this time everyone takes a break and relaxes at camp." She wasn't lying.

"Why are you helping me?" I asked. "Besides the fact I would kill you if you didn't. Even so, you helped me a lot more than I thought you would." She told me shift rotation times, and even when no guards are on patrol, like now. "Are you that scared of death?"

"N-No." She muttered. "It's…well, you're the Demon King, and I want to serve you." I laughed softly at her answer.

"I'm sorry to break it to you, but I'm not the Demon King. I just have powers similar to his."

"Well, even if that is the case, I still want to serve someone that has powers equivalent to that of the Demon King." She pressed her fingertips together. "Plus…you're kinda cute."

"I tried to kill you and you tried to kill me and my friends. What are you? A Sadistic masochist? Or is this just about power. You need someone like me to protect you because you are too weak to care for yourself? Or maybe it's because you're too weak to care for someone else and you need my help to help them. Is that it?" She stayed silent for a moment before speaking, anger in her voice.

"Yes, I am weak. Even with the assassin class I was assigned, I'm bad at it. I'm not good at stealth, I'm clumsy. I'm the worst assassin. And I'm also the worst daughter and sister." She was shaking and a tear fell from her face. "I didn't care if you were the Demon King or not. You had power, that's all that mattered. So what if I thought that if I served you, you may have done me a favor and helped me save my mom and sister? Is it really so wrong for a person to reach that low when they need the help that badly?"

I blinked slowly at her reply. I couldn't blame her, and she was right. When you know you don't have the power to change anything yourself, or to save anyone yourself, you tend to flock to someone that can.

There's the saying that you treat people as an end to a means, not a means to an end. But how could anyone that isn't in a situation the requires them to treat someone as a means to an end understand their thought process? Treating them like normal human beings doesn't mean they would help you or save you. People are selfish, and usually want something out of the transaction. That may have been why she offered her body to me.

To have so stoop that low…it must be so degrading.

"Help me save them, and I'll help you save your family." I muttered. I'm to nice for my own good…

Her eyes lit up as she looked at me. "Really!" I nodded a reply. "T-Thank you so much!" She pulled me into a hug. I just stood there uncomfortably.

"Should we attack now?" I asked as I looked down at the camp. I saw several of the guys looking at Sora, Rubellia and Patora. Did one of them lick their lips! "forget that question, we attack now!"

"Huh" O-Okay. What do I do?" She asked.

"Just wait her and jump in whenever you feel like it. If you want to." I said. "I can take them all out if need be." I said coldly. I heard her shiver to the left of me.

"Are you sure you can kill a human?" She asked. "It's…different than killing a monster." I watched as the guy kept giving looks to the girls.

"Oh, I can kill them," I frowned. "I can kill them all."

"…Okay. Then I'm ready when you a-" She didn't get to finish as I was already gone. I had used teleport and cloak to appear invisibly right in the middle of the camp.

"Do we really have to kill them when Sarah brings the boy back?"

"Yeah, come on, boss." I looked over to the man that was called boss. He was a tall muscular man with scars on almost every inch of his body. He was bald and had an eye patch on his left eye.

"That boy took the Princess and claimed to be the Demon King. He and his friends will die!"

"But boss, the girls look so..." He licked his lips. "Delicious." My hand clenched into a fist.

The boss looked at the girls and then his lackies or whatever they hell he called them. He sighed before speaking. "Okay, fine. But only one girl." He smiled.

"Oh, that easy. We want the mage, the one with the big tits."

"W-what! N-no! Please!" Rubellia cried as the opened the gate and yanked her out.

"You bastards!" Han went to make a run for it to save her, but they closed the gate before he got free.

"Not so fast," The boss laughed. "We just started having fun."

"You BASTARDS!" Han hissed. "I'll kill you! I'll kill all of you! And if I don't, Kichirou will. He'll kill you all! Make you suffer." The boss just laughed at his threat, along with everyone else.

"He probably is still I the Dungeon, if he's not dead already. We'll wait until morning, and if he isn't back then, then just live everyone before him, he died in that dungeon."

"He didn't die in there," Han smiled devilishly. "Just like how he cleared the first dungeon he'll clear this one."

"Even if he does, he'll be dead the second he comes out. And if he isn't dead, Sarah will bring him here, to watch us all have fun with you girls before we kill you all, and then kill him."

"Kill! KILL! KILLKILLKILLKILL! KILL THEM ALL KICHIROU! Let's burn them to nothing!" The voice screamed in my head.
