Kain ignored Elsa's comment and brought his girls, including Sylvia, back into his bedroom. He quickly explained what had occurred during the meeting, as well as his engagement to Sylvia. Kain took some time to find rings for each of his girls and promptly proposed to all three.
Saya, Talia, and Elisha were understandably ecstatic that things were going to be official between them and Kain. All of them answered yes and showed their affections to Kain as he placed the rings on them.
After Kain finished proposing to them, Saya, Talia, and Elisha gathered around Sylvia. They were chatting excitedly and admiring each other's rings. Before the chatter got out of hand, Saya shushed everyone and came over to Kain.
"Kain, can you give us some private time? Us girls would like to talk to Sylvia."
Kain nodded and left the room and went back downstairs. His lovers had no idea about his increased hearing. He created a sound field around the bedroom so he couldn't continue listening in on their conversation. From the little that he heard, his lovers were apparently talking about their experiences in bed with Kain.
Kain wondered if Sylvia would look at him funny after she learned what to expect from the girls.
When Kain came back downstairs, he noticed that no one had left. They were all talking with one another while waiting for Kain to explain what happened to the girls.
Kain motioned for Barton and Desmond to join him in another side room. He gave assurances to Aleria and Tyrin that he would meet with them next. After he brought his brothers inside, he created another sound barrier around the room so that others couldn't eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Brothers, I have great news. Our Blood oath is completed. I was able to kill Gerris."
After his statement, Kain brought out the head of Gerris from his void pocket. Kain had petrified the head and the corpse so that they wouldn't rot. His brothers could obviously still recognize their arch-enemy. Barton and Desmond Whooped and clasped Kain's hands with appreciation.
"Damn it, I wish I could have joined you in fighting this bastard. If only I was stronger." said Barton.
Desmond nodded in agreement. They could tell that Kain was out of their league at the moment.
"Brothers, notifying the two of you about Gerris' death was not the main reason I brought you here. I am going to give the two of you a serious power up. I will make sure that our enemies will have their hands full trying to deal with either of you." said Kain.
Barton and Desmond both looked at Kain in expectation.
"First, I'm going to upgrade your powers to their limits. You are up first, Barton."
Saying so, Kain knew that Barton required three more streams of fire power to turn it into an entity. He grabbed Barton's shoulder and sent over the three fire streams he had collected.
Barton felt like his body was on fire and then felt the streams merge into one. The singular stream phased into his cell repository. Immediately, he felt his control over fire solidify. He gasped in wonder as a barrier of fire surrounded his body. Next, he created multiple fire clones of himself.
"We're not done yet, Barton. I have more for you." said Kain.
"Oh shit, give me more bro." said Barton.
Barton became agitated with joy as his clones disappeared and the fire barrier blinked out. Kain once more placed his hands on Barton's shoulder and passed over two streams of transformation. This was enough to turn Barton's transformation ability into an entity. Barton immediately grew in size as he became as big as Daemaus. His laughter boomed out and shook the room. After turning back to normal, he replaced his ruined clothes. He would have to get clothes that didn't rip during transformations. When he was done, Barton actually became slightly emotional.
"Brother, if anyone dares to go against you, they will have to go through me first." said Barton.
"It is fine as long as you can join me in my fights. Now, go lie down on the bed. I'm going to boost up your strength and you will probably pass out from the overflow of power." said Kain.
Barton complied and laid down on the bed. Kain could tell that his brother had just broken through to Guardian-tier. He took out two 100x strength enhance orbs and phased them through Barton's body and into his stomach. Barton immediately passed out as he entered Genji-tier. Kain didn't stop and phased 12 more 100x strength orbs into Barton. When he was all done, Kain could tell that Barton had broken past Genji-tier. He then turned towards the waiting Desmond.
"Brother, it is your turn. For you, I have to make some conversions and use a new ability that I acquired. Hopefully this works, as it is the first time I will try this. You will temporarily lose your abilities, but I will return them back stronger than ever." said Kain.
"I trust you brother. Do what you must." said Desmond.
Kain would use the ability he gained from breaking through to gradient of will level one, which was to create copies of powers that he had. He grasped Desmond's shoulder and noticed that he had upgraded his gravity ability to the 2nd level, even without any input from Kain. Desmond must have practiced really hard while he was in Taria Academy, unlike Barton.
Kain did not have a copy of the gravity power, so he absorbed the ability from Desmond. Desmond blanched as he felt the loss of the ability. Kain now had 2 copies of gravity and began the conversion process. He converted three force manipulation streams and one transformation stream into 4 streams of gravity. Before the gravity streams could merge and become an entity, he sent the five streams into Desmond's body. He kept one of the gravity streams for himself.
Desmond felt the gravity streams become an entity as soon as they returned to his body, and they entered into his cell repository. Desmond had the urge to test his power, but he feared he would destroy the room so he passed on the notion.
Kain absorbed the metal power from Desmond. He then converted two concealment, two berserk, and one sound control streams into metal power. He sent five streams of metal into Desmond while keeping one metal stream for himself. The metal power streams became an entity and entered Desmond's cell repository. When Kain was done, he motioned for Desmond to lie on the bed next to Barton. It was time to power up Desmond's strength as well.
Desmond nodded and laid down on the other side of the bed. Kain saw that Desmond was mid Guardian tier at 210x strength. He phased in thirteen 100x strength orbs into Desmond's stomach, one at a time until Desmond also broke through beyond Genji-tier. Before Desmond passed out, He gave Kain a look that spoke volumes about his appreciation. Although he didn't speak words like Barton did, Kain knew Desmond would also fight to the death alongside him.
Kain observed his sleeping brothers and smiled. He would trust them with his life and now they were strong enough to dominate their enemies. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough streams to turn their regeneration ability into entities. Kain didn't want to convert the last copies of his streams and not be able to create copies of them.
Although Kain had lost some of his extra streams, he gained metal power and gravity power streams in the process. Now he just needed enemies so he could collect more streams to convert. He would make a trip with Aleria to the stock pens after this to use some of his wealth to buy zombies and monsters. Maybe he would get lucky and come across some zombified metahumans there as well. If the stock pens didn't have any, then the slave pens controlled by Lavaris would surely have them.
Checking his enhance orbs, he was down to only one of the 100x orbs, but still had 18 of the 150x strength ones. Of course, he had a little over 100 purple pills still in the chest he looted from Dominius. He could convert them into the 25x enhance orbs.
Thinking for a bit, Kain grew curious what would happen when he converted the four rainbow pills he also found in the chest with the purple pills. He took out one of the rainbow pills and converted it to an enhance orb. The rainbow pill in his left hand disappeared and a multi-colored enhance orb appeared in his right hand. He immediately crushed the orb to see what the effect would be.
Kain's eyes widened in pleasant surprise as he discovered that the multi-colored orb actually created a stream of poison and pathogen immunity. He quickly took out another rainbow pill and converted it. Crushing the resultant orb, he gained a stream of healing.
Kain wanted to shout in joy as he found another way to get random streams. The randomness didn't really matter as he could convert them. He didn't hesitate to take out the last two rainbow pills and converted them. When he crushed the orbs, he gained another healing and concealment stream. The healing stream was the fifth one that Kain obtained and his healing power became an entity and flowed into his repository.
Kain didn't want to stop and took out one of the irradiated cores he found. If the rainbow pills had such an effect, what would the irradiated cores do when he converted them?
He started the process of converting it.
