"Don't worry about it.", I try to smile.

"Please, don't worry about it!", I try to smile harder.
"Oh ok."
We just keep walking. Densetsu didn't say a single word to me after that. We just kept our feet moving.
"Well, see you mate.", Densetsu says as he walks inside his house.
After returning home I take out the left over from last night from the fridge. It stinks. Boy, I miss those food Aiko used to make. But we couldn't eat them due to our diet. I used to try and steal some of it. I smile as I remember all the stuffs happening 3 years ago. It feels like a story which starts with "once upon a long time ago". Fuck those people. What is with them!? Can't they just live in peace? They are standing against war, power with war. What the hell kind of logic is that. People don't care about others unless something happens to themselves. It's the truth that our universe beholds. Human might be the smartest animal on Earth but they certainly aren't careful. They seek power and domination and stand on top, not with other humen though. They want to stand on the top alone. They certainly don't understand the difference between standing on top of a mountain and a pile of dead bodies.
"Hey, Kaigara, it's me.", Tachibana knocks the door.
"Oh, hey Tachibana, what brings you here?"
"I thought umm.."
"Go ahead."
"UMM.. you haven't eaten breakfast, have you?"

"I thought we could have breakfast together. Since you know, we are family and everything. so I thought I'll just call you over. It's totally fine if you don't want to. I can just bring your food here.."
"Thanks but I think I"ll pass."

"Please, you don't have to. We are only neighbours now remember?"

"Please leave Tachibana. You really shouldn't be here.", I close the door.
Man I should have just taken her offer. This stinks. I think while taking the food out of the oven.
"So he didn't come?", I say.
"No, he said we are neighbors, not family.", Tachibana says.
"Damn that bitch."
"Dense?"
"What?", I say.
"Will he be Okay?"
"Of course. He has been ok all this year, hasn't he?"
"That's not called being ok you know.", She shouts.
"Well, maybe not. Atleast he is not dead as you thought he would be. So that is a relief."
"Don't say stuff like that.", She sounds concerned.
"Weren't you the one who said they might be dead. Accept the fate."
"Densetsu!", She screams.
"I'm-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have..."
"What should we do now?"
"What could we do rather than just watching."
"We can just..."
"Take him in?", I finish her sentence.
"Well?"
"You really think it's that easy? Think what people will think. We can't just our neighbor in and what will the explanation be? 'Hey meet our friend, Kai. Haha he is not Yashiro.'"
"Isn't there anything we can do?"
"Not untill things settle down in this wretched world. I don't really think we'll be back to our life even if things settle down. It's really hard to guess anything at this point."
Left overs really taste bad!! Or maybe I didn't store them properly. Or maybe the damn fridger is broken. Anyway the main thing is this shit stinks like actual shit with mayonnaise on top. I wonder what Densetsu and Tachibana is eating. Egg rolls? Peanut butter and jelly sandwich?? Maybe something even more delicious. My stomach starts talking. Calm down buddy, you ain't getting those things. You'll have to eat this shit. I'm really horrible at cooking. I wish that Aiko... What's the point in wishing, right? It'll never happen. Would it now? I munch on the rotten food. It's sour and spicy also salty. Great, I don't have to put seasoning on it. Bacteria did the stuff for me. I really should get a maid or maybe even a....
