I wake up the early the next morning to three rather loud male voices yelling. I also notice that I don't have a wolf on or next to me. So I get up and head to the sound of the voices.
I get up and go to open my door but hear Jarod yell at me.
"Do not open that door or so help me I will sit on you in my wolf form all day. And have all your limbs frozen completely until I let you up."
"Stupid dog." I say through clenched teeth.
I then realize my mistake right as I'm tackled to the ground.
"Do not call me a dog. Your big brother is not a dog. I'm a werewolf. Way better then a dog. Now please stay in here. Mom and dad have been circling the house since 1am. They are looking to get to you."
"Uh c-can you stay with me then?"
"Why are you scared?"
"No. I just -I" i start to say while trying to hold back tears. I've missed my parents so much.
"Its fine Layla I'll stay with you. Your big brother is here to protect you." He says pulling me in a bone crushing hug.
"Ugh if this supercharged bone crushing hug is saving me then I'm doomed." I say through the tears and actually having a hard time breathing.
He just lets go of me and smiles down at me.
"I'm going to find a way to hurt you Jacob. I swear to it I'll find your shadow wolfie weakness."
I say grumbling to myself
"Mmh and I'll be here until you do. So will you because you're safe with me."
"Mmh mans best friend is going to keep me safe."
Suddenly Xander takes control over Jacob causing him to shift. He then starts stalking over to me. I try to walk away. But find all my limbs frozen.
"Oh no. Please Xander I was joking don't be such a downer."
He just smiles showing off his razer sharp teeth.

"I love you. But you annoy me sometimes Jarods little sister. But calling me a dog was bad, and then mans best friend. Oooh that's so it game on little Enchanseon."
He then walks over to me. Then he raises his mouth as if he's going to bite me. But I flinch away causing him to whimper but he then starts liking my face all over.
"You know I'd never hurt me? Why would you think I'd bite you?"
"Hhm I'm not sure you have my body under your control and your acting like your mad at me. Do excuse me for thinking."
"Sorry. I shouldn't have gone about it like that. You just irritated me and him. And he already thinks you fear him."
As soon as Xander says that there's a fight for control between the two and Jarod wins. He just looks at me with tears brimming in his eyes and walks to the other side of the room with the bed. And sits down.
"You're relieved." He says
"I'm what?"
"You're relieved. Its something I have to say or think to let you go from your limbs being frozen."
"Oh" I say. Awkwardly about falling over myself as I try to walk; from my legs being stuff for so long.
"I'm sorry. I should be a better brother. I'll try to be the best brother possible. Just please don't push me away. I just found you after all the years of looking for you." He says looking at me.
"Wait what? you've been looking for me? How'd you not find me?" And shut up your the best brother possible.
"The charms." Is all he says. Pulling me into a hug.
I look down to my charm bracelet my mom gave me.
"No she wouldn't...she wouldn't keep you a secret from me. We had a promise to tell each other everything."
"You guys were that bonded?!" He about screams.
"Yeah. We were. Sorry you didn't have that."
"No. No. Layla not like that. I didn't mean it that way. I mean the spell. All spells can be broken by true love. Yes cliche I know but its true. And if they loved and treasured you that much. It just might be the one thing too save them as well."
"What? Really." I say getting up and running to the door.
He then grabs me and brings me close to him.
"Can you do one thing for me Layla?"
"Yes anything."
"Can you tell mom and dad about me?"
"Umm duh. That's the first thing I'm going to do. They are going to pay for not letting me have this awesome brother."
"Well thank you Layla. But now I've got to go tell Bentley and Carson our plan. Your also have stay here. Bentley told me he'd put you on a magical leash of obedience if you leave your room."
"That's not a thing is it?" I say now scared for my dignity and all the pranks I've done I'm sure he's just waiting for the right moment.
"It is actually but if he even tries to put it on you. I'll put it on him. And then some there are a lot of magical things in this world that'd do the job to make him listen to you. But that's another what if for another time. I gotta go bye sis love you. I'll be back later."
I say love you back and go back to my bed with my kids and sit.
What a life I freaking have. Who knew werewolves were a thing. Who the mother of fuck knew I'd be a mate and Luna to one. And who the mother hecker of heck knew that I had a brother who's a shadow wolf?
My life can't get any better or worse. I say to myself.
"Oh yes it can Layla May Wolf. It can get much, much worse!
I hear a voice scream in my mind and a figure runs away from the house. I see him through the window and he disappears before my eyes.
It will get so much worse. Prepare yourself Layla. As the enemy your seek may be closer then you know. Don't trust anyone I'm not the only threat your face. I want you for myself so don't make me have to fight for you from an ally.
As soon as the voice stops I feel dizzy and pass out.
"Sleep tight Layla. Your great grandaddy is coming to finish off the last full blood Enchanseon."
