Mako's POV
When the initial blast of The Power Of The Gods came, it had looked as if a huge blinding white bolt of lightening had hit Aya in the mouth, while that God held her head back by the hair for it. Her body had become stiff and rigid, and arms were down at her sides, her fingers splayed in pain. She was even shaking a little. Forgive me, Aya.
I chant for the daughter I never had.
I know I am a coward now that I am old. I couldn't defend myself against the onslaught of the elemental power expanding inside and then outside of the temple. So I stayed with Aya holding onto one of the stone legs to the alter. When it had begun to sprinkle water from the heavens, I brought my eyes up to the sky. In doing so My old wrinkled face became wet. Then as the violent winds rose in strength, my cheeks were made dry. I was so frightened for her.
