Upon seeing the cult representative pale the others were confused because I used one of my spirits to hide our conversation I didn't want to cause a panic otherwise those that had yet to approach me haven't given me their tribute of course I knew that this information would eventually spread to rest of the community eventually but as only one person was able to confirm it would remain mostly a rumor the other reason was to ensure that if they did decide to work with me that they would actually pay because religious groups tend not to believing you should just be grateful to work for their god as most gods pretend that they are invincible and omnipotent.
dcr:"Thank you revered alchemist for your magnanimous decision to offer us the use of your services!"
Me:"It is not an issue just keep our conversation in mind when you inform your masters about me"
dcr:"I will and I will do my absolute best to insure that any cooperation is pleasant for you once again thank you for your time!"
After he said what he wanted he left like a frightened rabbit ignoring everyone and anyone to escape my sight and report back to his leaders of his cult although I wanted to scare them so they wouldn't screw me I didn't intend for it to have such a large affect as all the remaining guests are now starting to stare at me and wondering what was said and why he was so desperate to leave this made the next few guests reign in their behavior and become very groveling until a beautiful but modestly dressed woman and her retinue approached me.
unknown woman:"I am priestess of the goddess of the moon Heng'e known as Jin Hua we have come to plead for your assistance in a grave and personal matter of our faith"
Me:"Others have at least offered me a gift before asking for favors but because you are beautiful I will excuse your lack of an offering and listen to your request but if the compensation isn't enough then you will have wasted not only your time but mine as well. So what specifically do you need from me?"
Jin Hua:"Please forgive my impertinence but I don't think it can be said without endangering ourselves here can we please move to a more private location?"
With a nod from me Ai Wu leads us to a private room where she begins to activate formations meant to block prying eyes and ears from knowing what is going on inside the room but since I really trust the Wu family with my security I have a spirits from darkness and music prevent us from being seen or heard whilst also providing some good music to listen to shocking the priestess and her retinue because although it was never really a secret most don't believe that I am a Shaman mostly because I don't constantly mention it like I am going to forget if I don't like monks, mages or other alchemist and people only really know me for alchemy.
Me:"So what is so important that you are afraid to mention it in front of those people down stairs?"
She glances over at Ai and sends me a meaningful look.
Me:"She is my apprentice it doesn't matter if she is here speak or ill just leave"
Jin Hua:*sigh* "I have no choice I guess you see a few days ago Heng'e was murdered by Zeus because she refused his advances and killed her during his attempted rape but as she was dying she used her power to transfer her soul and power into a water lilly flower so we came to find you because we hope you have a method to revive our goddess"
Me:"Well that and the fact that she spied on my conversation with cult representative I'm sure so can she speak for herself or does she need you to act as her mouth piece while she is in the pendant she made from the flower you mentioned earlier?"
As if to answer my question her soul materialized infront of me but unlike a human ghost she was easily able to interact with the world and seemed to be alive like a living person but was surrounded by an unnatural feeling of death yet her very presence seemed beneficial to everyone's health as even a poorly tended potted plant seemed to perk up which proved that although she is a ghost (which feels like the wrong word) she is beyond humanity yet she seemed annoyed with me as she was not only called out for her behavior but also the complete lack of reverence I had for a goddess even if she was dead.
Me:"Well? Are you going to glare at me waiting for me to cower or can we just move the discussion along? As I know you spied on my conversation with the cultists so know why I don't fear you"
Heng'e:"Did you really kill a god?"
This question seemed to cause a panic with everyone in the room except me and Heng'e as she glared at me and I was completely relaxed.
Me:"Not any from this world but yes I have and the only reason I am here and not there is because one of those gods made a deal with me to send me home as I no longer had a reason to be there after I killed the king who betrayed me and after I practically helped him win the war against the empire and the evil gods if it wasn't for his betrayal I would still be there dam it feels good to finally get to vent my frustration about that!"
Heng'e:"Good! I have a deal that I think you might like restore my body and help me get even with Zeus and I will help you become a god but if you can kill Zeus then I will be your wife"
Me:"What about Hou Yi?"
Heng'e:"He died a long time ago because he didn't want to be immortal and leave me behind so when somebody tried to steal the immortality pill I ate the pill then I was taken to the moon and eventually became a goddess while he died of old age waiting for me to return I tried but I was too late by the time I had the power to return he had been dead for hundreds of years so no he is not a concern anymore"
