Mia and General Adams entered the armory. Mia looked around the room and saw many soldiers working on various projects. She followed General Adams until he stopped in front of a line of tables. Adams pointed at the man behind the tables. "This is Franklin, he will explain your weapons and armor for this mission." Adams said. "This is my favorite part, I just love the cool items Franklin comes up with."
"Hello Franklin." Mia told him. "I am Mia. It is nice to meet you."
"Isn't Mia a girl's name?" Franklin asked.
"Well I am a girl." Mia smiled.
Franklin looked Mia over and shook his head. "Whatever you say Mia. Moving on, I would like to show you the items you will be using in your raid to save your friend." Franklin then pushed a button and a tuxedo showed up on a rack behind him. "This is a special armor that I have created for the occasion." Franklin pushed another button and a large gun turret came up from the ground and was aimed at the tuxedo. The gun fired several rounds into the suit however all of the shells bounced off of the armor. "As you can see this material is impervious to projectiles under the fifty-caliber range. However, it only blocks the projectiles you will still have the kinetic impact."
"The kinetic impact?" Mia asked.
"It will still hurt like hell." Franklin sighed. He then pushed another button on the table causing fire to reign down on the suit. After the suit burned for a few moments he pushed the button again to stop the fire. "As you can see the fabric is also fire proof as well. However, it does not protect you from the thermal energy you will experience while under such sweltering temperatures." Seeing Mia's blank expression Franklin tried to explain again. "The fire will still be really hot."
"Oh okay, I understand." Mia answered.
"Other than that, the armor is also slash proof, pierce proof, and does no conduct electricity." Franklin explained. "It's only weakness really is the fact that it is dry clean only. Also bleach will give it a nasty stain that just won't come out."
"Sounds like a really useful set of armor." Mia said. "I must say it does not look like anything I have ever seen before."
"Oh right the General did mention you are from another world." Franklin sighed. "You would have no idea of the spy movie aesthetic I worked so hard to achieve. Never the less we need your measurements so that we can tailor a suit to your exact size. It must be perfectly tailored, otherwise the aesthetic is wasted." Franklin then pointed to a woman on the other side of the room. "When I have finished explaining your equipment please go see Monica over there and she will get your measurements from you."
"Understood." Mia replied. "So what kind of weapons will I be using?"
"I am so glad you asked." Franklin replied. "It's not like I was about to tell you anyway." Franklin sighed. "The General brought you here so that must mean you passed his tests. So I don't need to explain what this is." Franklin held out a pistol.
"That's a gun!" Mia replied.
"Yes, to put it simply it is a gun." Franklin answered. "But this is not an ordinary gun, instead of the classic bullet it shoots one of my own design. That being said instead of the normal nine rounds this gun would have, my version holds an amazing thirty-six rounds. This will enable longer combat without the need to reload. Also because of the design on my gun well, it's best I just show you." Franklin then pointed the gun at a dummy they had set up behind him. He then fired several shots into the dummy. The gun made almost no noise as the shots were fired, yet it still had the same stopping power as a normal gun. "As you can see this gun is virtually silent. This will allow you to take out your enemies without drawing too much undo attention upon yourself."
"That's incredible Franklin!" General Adams shouted. "With that armor you showed earlier and these new guns we could revolutionize warfare!"
"These items are cost prohibitive General." Franklin explained. "Besides, even if we could create a mass quantity of them, it would just create undo escalation."
"What do you mean?" Adams asked.
"For every advancement in military technology there is always another shortly after to counter it." Franklin explained. "The technology needed to counter my tech would be scary to say the least. So it would be best to not let it be known that it exists. That is what serves our purposes best at the moment."
"Is there anything else Franklin?" Adams asked.
"But of course there is." Franklin smiled. He then pulled out what appeared to be a hilt of a sword. "This is my newest creation." He then pushed a button on the hilt and a blade popped out of it. "With this you can keep a sword in your pocket."
"Now there's a weapon I can use." Mia said with a smile.
"I bet." Franklin replied. "Well I am done here so you go get measured by Monica now."
"Thank you, I will go do that." Mia said as she left and walked over to where Monica was located. "Hello Monica I am Mia and…"
"I know who you are Mia." Monica cut Mia off mid sentence. "I have been standing here in the same room. I have heard everything, I am not deaf. Now come along I don't have all day to get your measurements." Monica led Mia into a back room. "Okay please remove all of your clothing so that I can get an accurate measurement of you."
"Remove everything?" Mia asked.
"Yes, don't be shy." Monica replied. "I need to measure you perfectly; Franklin takes his aesthetic very seriously. Besides I heard you say you were a woman, so we are both women here, nothing to be shy about."
"Right I guess that makes sense." Mia said as she started to remove her clothing. Mia stripped down and stood in the center of the room. Her buff masculine body on display.
"I must say Mia, you have quite the figure." Monica said. "You have well defined rock hard abs, and well muscles everywhere." Monica looks at Mia's sword. "And the largest…"
"Yes well, I used to be a man, it's a long story." Mia cut Monica off. "So are you going to measure me or what?"
Monica snapped out of her staring. "Yes, of course, sorry about that. I don't know what came over me. I would love to hear your story though. Please tell me while I measure you." Monica began measuring Mia and Mia explained everything that had happened to her in her own world. After a few hours Monica had finally finished her measurements. "Alright you're all done." She said. "Listen Mia, your story was incredible, I am sorry about Lucy and Vanessa."
"I am going to save Lucy." Mia said. "And I am sure the Goddess will return one day. I mean she's the Goddess, she can't be gone."
"Right of course." Monica smiled. "Well you are free for the rest of the day. We should have your suit tailored by the morning. The General will explain the details of your mission in the morning."
"Right, so what do I do for the rest of the day?" Mia asked.
"Well, I think you should explore the base." Monica said. "You should also head to the mess hall and get some food, can't fight a war on an empty stomach."
"Thank you, Monica." Mia said as she left.
"I wonder what Mia looks like as a girl." Monica wondered. "Cause as a man, damn. Just damn."
Mia explored the base and learned more about the world she was in. It was a shock to her how much different the people were here. She made her way to the mess hall and was amazed by all the different types of foods. She eyed something she wanted to try. "Excuse me." Mia said. "What is that?" She pointed at the item she wanted.
"Oh that." The man behind the counter asked. "That is just spaghetti… Wait, are you saying my spaghetti doesn't even look like it?!"
"Oh no!" Mia answered. "I just have never seen anything like that before. What are the long stringy things."
"The noodles?" The man was confused. "How have you never seen noodles?" Mia explained who she was and where she was from to the man. "Oh, well that makes sense. Here have some of my famous spaghetti. It is the best spaghetti you will ever eat!" He said as he handed her a tray with some spaghetti on it with some garlic bread.
Mia took her food items and sat and ate them. "Wow, I should really learn how to make this! I bet Lucy would like it." Mia said as she ate her food. "Lucy, just hold out a bit longer. I am coming for you, and I will save you."
