TO LOVE IS NOTHING,
TO BE LOVED IS SOMETHING,
BUT TO BE LOVED AND LOVE?...
THAT'S EVERYTHING.

"You were supposed to meet the architects of the mall today at 4:00, It's already 4:30... They say the structure of the building is done."
"Oh Okay...", You replied shortly before continuing to glance out the window.
You fell asleep in the car due to the long car ride. After what felt like a few minutes you were shaken awake by a panicked Jack who looked like he was about to faint.
"What's up with you dude? You look like you got run over by a truck.", You commented as you took in his tense form.
"I don't know maybe because it's 5 freaking 30 and we're like an hour and a half late. The architects are pissed. I told the workers at the office to keep them entertained till the time we reach the place but I'd be pissed too if someone kept me waiting so long... God how do we fix this!!?", Jack replied as he quickly guided you through the glass doors of the modern building, nodding a quick greeting to the woman at the reception who looked at you both with worried expressions.
"Don't worry Jack I'll handle it myself.", You replied as you calmly walked inside the elevator.
"Are you sure? You know I can take care of it right? You don't need to waste your time on such petty matters."
"Of course I know that you can take care of it but I was the one who kept them waiting for so long so technically I should be the one to apologize."
"Are you kidding me!? You know that your father won't be very happy with you apologizing to some architects.... If they got any issues with the company, we can always fire them and take in new ones.", Jack replied worriedly as you both walked towards the meeting room.
"Jack I don't think that father will be mad at me for apologizing to someone for my own mistake, saying sorry doesn't make you a smaller person. I'll be the one talking to the architects and that's final.", You declared.
"But-"
"Do I need to repeat myself?", You asked with a brow up, hand on the door, ready to face the people inside.
"Of course not", Jack replied with his head hung low following you inside the room that practically radiated negative energy.
"Good", You mumbled before facing the 20 people in-front of you. These people weren't your fans so you couldn't really flash a smile and expect them to melt, you had to come up with a good speech in your mind if you still wanted these talented people to serve your company.
You smiled apologetically towards the men and women in front of you as you took a few files from Jack's hands.
"I'm really sorry for the rather prolonged delay... I feel the need to personally apologize for making everyone of you busy people wait for almost an hour and a half. Honestly I don't have a particularly good excuse. The classic you know 'high traffic' and stuff.", You playfully quoted with your hands making the people in front of you laugh.
"But in all seriousness", You continued while maintaining a calm business like demeanor, "I beg your pardon for wasting your precious time and I hope we can continue the meeting now without any disturbances or problems."
You ended your short speech with a lovely smile, finally seating at the head chair in the room.
"Oh! You didn't need to apologize Ms. Wood, Please. It's perfectly alright for you to be late.", the head architect reassured as the other workers nodded in acknowledgement. You just smiled at his polite words, not forgetting to throw a quick smirk in the direction of Jack who looked extremely impressed.
The rest of the meeting went smoothly in your opinion, with a few light jokes here and there. Since the structure of the mall had been completed, you asked jack to get the designers to start with the interior designing and setting up shops of only those companies that were owned by your family. You also asked him to send a letter of invite to all the food and fashion companies you found up to the mark with your own companies to buy stores in the mall if they wanted. You did give them a choice, but the way you wrote the letters yourself, you knew they would be more than glad to do so.
After an exhausting day at work, you and Jack decided to retire earlier than usual.
Once you got back home, which took years in your opinion. You took a quick shower and got changed into your PJs after which you had a humble dinner. You completed your homework quickly, though it wasn't up to the mark with how you would've wanted because of your perfectionist behavior, you honestly couldn't care less at the moment.
You went to bed a lot earlier than usual, thinking you probably deserved a rest after such a dramatic day at school and work.
