Chapter - 34 Typhon Ascension - Part -2

-----------

[Themyscira] - [A few months later]

Tartarus, the abode of darkness, echoes with the haunting cries of the condemned. The air is thick with the weight of remorse, and the dim light that filters through seems to highlight the despair etched upon every face.

Tormented souls wander aimlessly, their existence an eternal reminder of their past deeds. And among them stands I, bound by the chains of the gods, their presence both a mark of infamy and a testament to my resilience.

The chains that bind me were certainly no ordinary bonds, but were forged by the god of forging, imbued with his divine power. Weigh heavily upon me, restricting my movements and dampening my spirit and digging deep into the flesh of my body, causing excruciating pain with every movement I made.

But to their misfortune, now had I fully adapted.

Yet despite the torment and despair, a flicker of defiance lights up in my eyes. Within the depths of my being, a fire burns-a fire fueled by my unwavering determination to break free. With each passing moment, my resolve strengthens, and I prepare to rebel against my captors.

"Cortana show me the impairment state of my body..."

[Of course, master]

[Master's implement body shows complete immunity to Kryptonite and also all Dna present at the time of your body has a 100% compatibility rate]

"So basically, my 3 genetic traits are feeding and adapting to their full capacity" I muttered, as a broad smile could not help but grow on my face.

[Yes master, and correct since being imprisoned your body has continued to adapt to all the external phenomena you were undergoing in order to achieve greater compatibility with the different DNAs within your body]

"The time has come for me to go."

They thought I was weak, and I played this part the whole time they kept me here, and inevitably the Amazon guards became arrogant and lax in their guarding of me.

I had completed one of my secondary goals of having them take me to this Lost Island in the middle of the sea and lock me up in a hole for long enough to gain complete immunity to one of my main weaknesses.

Now all I needed was the Mother Box

"Oh. you are already leaving New God. I was hoping you would stay a little longer has keep me company in this gilded cage."

I was not surprised by the voice as I turned my head, I could see a gray-haired man dressed in a long black robe piling up at his feet kneeling in the earth.

In his hands are a pair of small shears and a bucket of water rests beside him. Although he had turned to me, his eyes were still completely fixed on the brightly colored flowers in front of him as he gently prunes and waters each one with almost fatherly care.

"You're the one who's been watching me since I was put here? Right?"

"So you had taken in my presence? " The old man asked, as his molten gold eyes, almost iridescent in their intensity, pierced my eyes.

"Not really..." I admitted, I could not sense his presence even with my Ki sensing. But even without it, I could feel myself constantly being watched, and in the end it seemed that I had not been too paranoid.

It was with a small groan that I rose to my feet, as the sensation of pins and needles coursed through my extremities as I forced my limbs out of their bloodless sleep. Looking down, I see the smashed petals that I completely ignored.

"Who are you?" I could only ask, with obvious distrust in my tone.

The old man rose from his position perhaps an inch or two taller. His face is full of faint white scars and lines of the age of countless millennia. His hair falls below his shoulders, knotting into unkempt strands, and a long beard falls to the center of his chest.

A certain ethereal royalty peers through the old man's face, and his very form exudes a commanding presence that presses against my shoulders. I could not help but feel "almost" the need to look away when I met his gaze.

But my pride prevented me from doing so, I was very different in comparison to the past. Especially because of my implementing strength no one could force me to lower my head in any way anymore.

"I am a simple old man who wants to make a deal with you. Young New God," stated the old man as with a simple snap of his fingers a chair appears behind him where he sits comfortably.

"What do you want, old man? Why do you appear before me at this very moment?"

The world around the old man looked "I want many things, New God.... I want my scythe. I want my throne. I want my revenge served on a silver platter.... But without a shadow of a doubt the most coveted thing for me is our freedom."

I could only frown at his answer. "We? Freedom?" A great sense of urgency grew over me.

"Haven't you figured it out yet, New God? Yet you are in our eternal prison.... In our own gilded cage that my children built for me!"

"You are Kronos. Titan of time " I could only affirm as I finally realized who I had before me.

Kronos did not answer me, instead he continued his speech. "In our eternal suffering, in an endless state of fear, loathing and pain, while we were all buried in Tartarus we longed for a simple thing, a time when they may be released from our torment." Said Kronos.

"And you have arrived, Typhon New God. Aligned with evil so we can finally have our freedom."

"I owe you nothing..." I commented, as the sense of urgency grew within me. "It seems merely a way to invite me into your war."

"HAHAHA! Maybe from your view it would be. But I can assure you that we struggled a lot before we reached a common agreement and some are still not very happy with the choice I am about to make..." said Kronos, as he took several steps forward.

*PAH*

Mighty Kronos, the old lord of the universe, was on his knees before me.... "We titans offer our power in battle in exchange for complete freedom."

I did not know how to react to this....

"And I am supposed to trust your promises? You are true natural disasters your words are like the sea and sky that you can manipulate at will"

"Precisely because we are embodied disasters our promises are as valid as the beginning of creation," he went on to say. "We are not Olympians so we are willing to joust to the heavens and even fight your war."

Hearing all this I remained silent. I did not ask how he knew all this, after all, he was the living embodiment of time and could see the past and future as he pleased.

"What do you need to gain your freedom?" I asked as several thoughts ran through my mind. If I was really going to challenge Darkseid for his throne I needed all the help available....

Kronos did not seem too surprised by my words as a smile adorned his face. "We need the daughter of the Titans Hyperionand Perseis and united with your boundless energy that even now is continuing to grow we could break this prison."

"Circe," I muttered, as I observed that my surroundings had returned to complete normalcy and no trace of the Time Lord was visible

[Interlude]

"These chains have kept me imprisoned long enough," I stated as the different DNAs within my body pushed me to adapt and find a way out. I had studied the chains, looking for weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

I drew on all my strength and also my inner Ki reserves, pushing myself beyond my limits. The chains may bind my physical body, but not my spirit, which was the foundation of my energy.

I fight with an intensity that surprises even myself, each blow bringing me closer to my ultimate goal - A force large enough to be controlled by no one.

With each blow I strike, the chains weaken. Each blow erodes their grip on me. I feel their grip loosen, and I draw strength from this newfound vulnerability. The Amazons may have imprisoned me, but they were a long way from being able to break my body and spirit.

The gleaming bronze chains connected to the corners of the cave that kept my arms suspended over my head. Hairline fractures stretch across the surface, fine cracks nearly invisible to the naked eye, but present enough to impair the potent magic.

I eyes turn wary at the gleaming runes that are near incandescent in their light, pushed to their limit in attempting to keep me bound even as the rune network itself was failing by the moment.

A horn drones loudly from far away, and an alarm has been sounded. The Amazons would be upon me soon, and if I weren't out of the chains by then, I know the pit beneath my feet would be a new prison.

The chains of Hephaestus shimmer and cry out like a living thing, twisting and bending but still refusing to break. A cacophony of noise rose from outside, the neighing of horses, the rumbling of marching footsteps, and the approaching muffled voices of Amazons. I'm almost out of time.

I realize in my eyes, followed by a wave of fierce determination, and I pull on the chains again with all my might. The cavern ceiling shakes once more, and great spiderweb cracks form across its surface. The chains emit a keening scream of protest, my huffing breaths turn to a shout of exertion.

I summoned up whatever power I had at my disposal, pummeling the enchantments with all the force I could muster, straining my body against its chains with all the strength in my muscles, and then finally, a link of the chain breaks with a sudden startling crack.

Energy surges into my veins, filling every pore and vein and the cavern is consumed in a supernova of light as incandescent golden threads jump to my instinctive command.

In a last burst of strength, time stands still around me as the runes of the Chains of Hephaestus lose their intensity. Familiar red-black energy surrounds me, filling me with renewed vigor, allowing me to break through both my straitjacket and the weakened chains.

And most of them shatter, leaving me free and victorious. With a roar of triumph, I rise from the remnants of my captivity, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.

No longer trapped, as I embraced my freedom with a renewed sense of pleasure.

I am Typhon, the evil Saiyan.

I lay still for a long moment, processing what had just happened, stunned with disbelief.

I hesitantly lifted a hand over my face and looked down at my sprained wrist, the red, worn, raw flesh regenerating to the naked eye, with a few chains left but completely weakened. My laughter subsided, holding my face in my hands simply because I could.

The chains or straitjacket that kept me weakened were now only a memory as I felt the force flowing through me.

The Amazons will soon suffer for underestimating me and will soon learn about the strength of a Saiyan warrior.
