Chapter 9 - Chapter 9. Mistake and the fall

The girl turned to face her friend, more like girlfriend, who still lazed on the bed. She sure didn't get bothered by others as she didn't even let a word out of her mouth. She just gave a blank, incomprehensible stare to both the girls who were close to fighting near the door.

The girl, who stood in front of Roselia expected the other girl to speak something. Both Roselia and she stared at the other girl on the bed with all ears to listen to her. However, She just averted her gaze from them, not wanting to participate in their little fight. Both of them stared at her in shock because of her's oblivious behavior.

The other girl was the one who snapped out of it fast. Clearing her throat, "Speaking about the room. This is ours", she told faintly, but firmly.

Roselia gave a puzzled look after recovering from the shock by the clear disinterest of other girl. It was her room number too, " But, this is my room.", she spoke quick and in hastily manner. She stuttered a lot in one sentence.

Roselia may have spoken too fast, causing the girl to be lost and tilt her head in order to clear her clearly. For a long while, she didn't speak anything as though contemplating on something.

After what felt like hours, but was actually few moments of silence, because, of the silence, the girl spoke, "That can't be possible. Only two people can share a room. Can you show me your course sheet. "

Roselia nodded her head in response acknowledging the girls words. She handed her the thin and little crumpled sheet to her.

The girl looked at the courses in the front and turned the paper, "Your room is 609.This is 906", she explained  patiently.

Roselia couldn't believe her ears. She snatched the sheet from her. It was indeed 609. Roselia pressed her lips into a tight line because of embarrassment.

Not only did she barg into the room, she even interrupted others while they were having intense course. On top of every thing, she even claimed it was her room without any other thought. Oh, how she felt like digging a hole herself and bury herself in it.

'I should have checked my room number again', she muttered in displease with her herself.

"I.. I'm... ", her voice came stuttering not finding voice to speak and it was one octave higher. She want to apologize for her mistake, however her mouth didn't cooperate with her.

The other girl understood what might be going in Roselia's head. Since she is older, she didn't want to make this younger and somewhat cute girl anymore guilty, so she smiled lightly as she spoke smoothly, "It's ok. Mistakes happen. After all we are humans. "

'Surely not, I wonder how you gonna react knowing I am an wolf", she rolled her eyes at the mere thought, she slowly continued, "That's my mistake", she admitted it, however she didn't say sorry, since both the sides were at mistake. Either they should have locked the door or she should have knocked. If anything in the above happened, Roselia and the others wouldn't have encountered such embarrassing situation.

After getting clarification, Roselia took her luggage silently and marched her way through the big staircase to sixth floor. As soon as she was out of the sight, the door banged with a loud thud and got locked.

"Looks like there will be a second round of intense exercise", she playful grinned remembering what happened earlier. As she moved down the steps her thoughts wandered thinking who might be the dominant among those two girls. She thought the blonde girl might be, her power and authority told that. But, then again they can be switch. She shrugged to herself and then rolled her eyes, that was none of her business.

She dragged the luggage, however, it's not hard to descend the stairs unlike while ascending with her heavy luggage.

Soon enough, she reached 7th floor and still only one more flight of steps. As she hauled her baggage, she started to count the steps of last floor.

1 ... 2.... 3...29....

Still only three more steps.

She looked up and her eyes locked on the same girl, who helped her with her luggage, watching her leave the room as she took next step down.

Roselia smiled seeing her while Vivian just gave a slightly puzzled look witnessing her coming down the stairs while dragging her whole luggage. Vivian counted the number of bags Roselia was carrying when she helped her.

Looking at her and thinking how to explain the situation to Vivian, Roselia lost a footing and was tripped down. She was about to fall down. Her hands hastily left the luggage trolleys and trying to grab onto anything solid, while her eyes closed afraid of what she could be met with. She was sure she would bleed if she fell on the stone floor and might get some fine wounds. In the worst case, she might even get a fracture in her foot or hand or even her head. However, instead of falling on the cold ground she fell into a pair of warm hands.

Roselia stayed in the position for  sometime while processing the whole thing. She still didn't open her eyes because of the fear of getting hurt. When she realized what happened her whole body froze, eyes instantly snapped open, breath got hitched, and her face turned red pressing into a softnesss she never felt.

All her senses heightened as she grew aware of the situation. Her palms got soaked with sweat, unknown whether it was from anxiety or from feeling awkward or from feeling discomfort.

Roselia clenched her fists tightly, trying to calm her rapidly thumping heart. She felt like she could no longer withstand the pressure anymore. How can a she live throughtout her high school when her first is like this. This was all too embarrassing!
