Desde hace más de 100 años se conoce la existencia de “Monstruos” al rededor del mundo. Pese a suponer un problema, las personas aprendieron a vivir con ello y adaptarse con el paso del tiempo. Sin embargo, tras un misterioso atentado a nivel global se esparció un virus que dotaba de genes inhumanos a sus portadores, volviéndolos agresivos y regresando a sus instintos más primitivos. Con el tiempo se descubrió que dichos genes eran derivados de aquellos “monstruos” que habitaban el planeta. Ya han pasado 20 años desde aquel incidente y la humanidad tomó medidas contra aquellos denominados “inhumanos”, capturándolos o en el peor de los casos erradicándolos. Pese a suponer que todo está bajo control, en una de las ciudades del sur, un grupo de inhumanos logró escapar de una de las bases de confinamiento. Al poco tiempo apareció un inhumano apodado “Whisper”, que fue visto en varias ocasiones luchando contra otros inhumanos fuera de control. Este vigilante llamó la atención de una joven estudiante llamada Elizabeth, una autoproclamada detective aficionada al estudio de inhumanos. Tras descubrir la identidad de Whisper, deciden unirse para juntos resolver el misterio que aborda a la primera aparición de los inhumanos hace 20 años, convencida que este suceso tiene relación con la desaparición repentina de su padre hace 8 años, sin saber que al adentrarse en aquel misterio acabarían envueltos en algo mucho más grande y peligroso.
