Recap
"L-lets quickly head to my room and change."
=========================
"The time pass by so slowly..." I sigh as I watch young master from afar.
Today schedule for young master is the same as yesterday just with an extra horse mounting lesson.
'I could tell that young master is very tired from yesterday's events. Thankfully, Miss Daisy didn't call for young master today. Though, yesterday was a memorable sight...
I use my dark magic [Shadow Step] to move from my spot behind the tree, under the shades to the servant's quarters.
I walk out the shadows to the servant's quarter as I went to meet the head butler of Clades. I stumble upon Grandfather, I bow deeply as I report to him.
"Head butler, Young master Aust is doing a fine job keeping up all his studies. He is widening his knowledge of the world." I said without any hesitation.
The head butler nod as he adjusts his monocle. "Continue your good work," he said as he disappears as he back away into the wall.
I hastily head to the knights training area. The knights training area is majority fields, there are some uneven bumps. Many of the knight's spars with each other at noon where I can train by myself.
I quickly pick 2 wooden daggers and walk to the knight's captain, Hilda for a short spar.
"HAHAHA, YOU ARE FINALLY HERE TO ANOTHER SPAR, GUILLAUME?!" Hilda spoke when I approach her.
"Indeed let's spar..." I walk to the field and hold my wooden daggers up. "Still a man of few words I see!" she wipes her mouth with her handkerchief and stood up from her original position as her brown braided hair swing side to side.
Hilda stroll into the field specialises in sparing where Gill occupied. She wore a warm smile as she got closer, she took off her heavy armour and place them on the floor.
"How is the young master!?" she laughed heartily. My brows knitted together, "No small talk."
"Alright kiddo! Here I come!" Hilda's movement was fast and light as she held up her wooden sword and dashes towards me. I quickly use my dagger to defend against her attack as I swiftly attack her with my other free hand.
Hilda easily defends that strike as I quickly targetted her eye. She smirks as if she could read through me, she defends her head by putting her sword up to her left side of her head.
I couldn't find any unguarded region so back away. "Hm, that is an improvement today, though it is not enough!" She found the opportunity to strike with her sword as she darts towards me. I could not react fast enough and soon got hit by Hilda on my left shoulder. "ARGH!"
"Oh damn! That is going to leave a mark!" one of the onlookers in the sudden crowd spoke up.
I quickly retreated as I held up both my daggers and hiss at her. 'Time to be more serious.' I use my skill [Shadow Step] to disappear from my spot and appear behind her. The crowd around us gotten larger and rowdier as they cheer.
Hilda feels like a wall when I dealt with a successful hit. She chuckles as she abruptly whacks my head with her fist. I tumble to the hard ground.
"Let's stop here, Guillaume! It was a good spar!" she said. The crowd momentarily disperse as Hilda approach me to extend a helping hand.
"I will win one of these days!" I glare at her.
"I will wait for that day, kiddo!" Hilda laughs warmly.

"Young master, what are you going to do for your holiday in a few days?" Gill said as he serves a fresh black tea.
"I was thinking of visiting Bethany and Alfie..." while pondering. "I think Master Clades would not agree. He may allow you to go to parties to socialize though."
"Alright then..." after Gill left my room I quickly lit up a candle nearby, I start to chant softly "Summoning magic: Come out my familiar!"
A small smoke appeared at the same time Alfred appears "Alfie! It is great to meet you!" as I quickly go near him for cuddles. "GEH! What are you doing! Did you summon me for this!!?" Alfie telepathically told me as he growls softly.
"Hahaha, I miss you, Alfie! You have grown even more this time. You have grown larger and stronger!"
"Hm! Of course, I have grown!" Alfie growl while showing his toothy grin. The rest of the evening was just Alfie telling more of his adventures before heading to bed.

Three years later, I reach the age of 6. At the age of 6, I get to test my altitude for magic preference. I was pretty worried about this test, especially this test.
I'm terrified. This also tests my potential to be the next heir of Clades, which put a lot of pressure on me. It is one of those hurdles I have to pass to avoid the death flags.
Not only that I have to test for my altitude, but we all also have to do it in front of the whole Nobles society similar to a debut. Since it is such a huge event, the royalty would also come and visit.
If only I can predict what kind of element will be shown on the assessment day itself, I will be less anxious.
Though if the story is following the plot I should be compatible with... water, wind and ice. Even though Gill will be known to be compatible with dark magic, he did not leave the Clades.
I sat down in the white armchair that was placed in my room as I sip on freshly brew tea by Gill. I slowly analyse 'how to not activate the death flags' in my head.
"Young master, Young master Avin has arrived. "
"Wha-" that was close. I almost spit out my tea. I quickly regain my posture, "Let him in"
"Little Aust! Let's go out and shop together for clothes." he walked towards me as I stand up.
"Stop calling me that! I have grown you know brother!" as I puff my cheeks. Avin smiles. "Why do we need to go shop for clothes?"
"What do you mean by " Why do we need to go shop for clothes?" have you seen your wardrobe??!" Avin looks alarmed when I ask him that question.
"Yes, an-"
"Young master Avin is right, you need a change of clothes!" I was astonished. 'How could Gill take his side too!?'
"Let's go little Aust! I have already asked the Duke for permission." Avin quickly hooks me using his arm as he drags me outside.
"NOOOOO~..."
