So we spent the rest of the night just watching anime and then fell asleep. We wake early, have a shower and get dressed for school. "Happy birthday Scarlet." Ruby said after giving me a kiss. "Thanks Ruby." I said with a smile and hug her. We leave my room and head to school.
School passes uneventful but one thing, when I saw Rias in class, I saw she was blushing a bit. I wonder what happened, maybe I can tease her with it later. We all meet up at the front gate. "So Sona is the rest of your peerage at ours?" I asked wondering if we will go pick them up. "They should be at yours." She said not sure, looking at Tsubaki. "Yeah they said that will head there early to help." Tsubaki said looking as taciturn as ever.
So we all head back home. Once there I reach out and open the door. I look around and see no one. "They must be hiding in the front room." I say as I start walking towards it. We reach it and open the door. "Happy birthday." Everyone said, I look around and see the usual suspects with Vali, I even spot some others. Mum, dad, Grayfia, Lilith, Sirzechs, even Ajuka and Azazel turned up. I rush up to Lilith and pick her up, giving her a hug.
"Ruby come over here." I shout to her, she starts to walk over. I grab her hand in my only free one, and introduce her to mum and dad. "Mum, dad this is my knight and girlfriend Ruby, Ruby this is my parents. Oh and I need to talk to you about something dad." I add while smiling. Ruby does some strange attempt at polite speech but it fall flat. "I think when you visit the underworld I'll give you some lessons on etiquette, can't have my daughter's partner not knowing proper etiquette." Mum said with a smile, while Ruby looked down. "And call us mum and dad, ok Ruby?" Dad said with a smile.
While all that played out, I put down Lilith and told her to go see Rias, she nods and ran trying to find her. "Dad do you know anybody trying for a baby?" I ask thinking of testing out my theory. "Yes there are a lot that want a kid, why do you want to know?" Dad asked. "Well I might have come up with a formula that will help with conceiving a child." I said with a smile, Dad looked shocked.
"How did you come up with that, so many people have been researching how to increase the birthrate?" Dad asked, I just smiled. "My theory goes beyond that and if it turns out true, even two women can have children together." I said with a confident smile. "I just need some willing test subjects." I continued, dad just looked slacked jaw. "I'll see if anyone will want to try this theory, and if it works, you'll be hailed a hero." He said, it looks like his mind is wondering.
"Oh one more thing, do you think you can get me some underworld wood the more verity the better?" I ask hoping to make a guitar from them. "That's easy how much do you need?" He asked. "Enough to make a few guitars and can you plant a tree for the every one you cut down?" I ask, thinking about what I'll need to grab. He just nodded and left to find Rias.
I look around and see Kara with Vali, it looks like they are talking about training but both of them have a big smile on their faces. I see Grayfia scolding Sirzechs, I grab Ruby's hand and take her over to them. But before we get there I whisper into her ear. "Don't try to be polite, just be yourself. Big brother doesn't care about all that." I finish as we reach them. "Big brother, big sister this is Ruby my knight and my girlfriend Ruby, Ruby this is my big brother Sirzechs and his wife Grayfia." I introduce looking between them.
"Scarlet I'll be coming to see you on my next day off." Grayfia said, oh no what did i do? My face goes pale. "Scarlet are you ok?" Ruby said seeing my face and getting worried. "Don't worry I'm fine, let's go see Azazel." I said trying to run away. I find him talking to Kiba. "Yo Azazel, any luck?" I ask with a hopeful expression. "Not yet, it seems something is happening." He said vaguely. "Well tell him that I might have found a way for..." I look around and make sure no ones paying us attention. "New angels to be made without the fear of falling." I finish in a quiet voice only Azazel could hear. "That will definitely get you a meeting but do you really have a way?" I just nodded my head.
