Chapter 37 - Chapter 35

"I can't believe you don't like Harry Potter." Ruby said shocked. "I never said i didn't like it because I've never read it, I just don't see the appeal of it. It just sounds boring to me." I said shrugging. "You might find some of the magical tools cool." Ruby says trying to get me to read them. I just sigh and think of a compromise. "I'll tell what, if you can start using magic by the time we go back to the underworld, I'll read all the books. Deal?" I said not worried about losing, for we are going back to the underworld in a few months. "Ok deal, no taking it back ok." Ruby said with a knowing smile.

"Ruby what do you know?" I asked worried seeing her face. She just ran ahead and started laughing. Why do I have a very bad feeling, oh well whatever may come, may come. I follow her to the clubhouse. I walk in and see everybody sitting around just talking. I go sit down next to Ruby and just wait until we have to leave.

A few hours later, I get up and start walking to the corner of the room. Ruby following me I start making the teleportation circle. "Oh Ruby this will be the first time you've teleported." I said just remembering. "Yeah this should be fun." She said with a smile. Once I finished the circle I raise my hand towards Ruby for her to hold, she does and I start channeling my mana to the circle.

The next moment we are in the forest and I see the familiar master. "Yo good to see you again, how've you been?" I asked him. "Miss Gremory it's good to see you too and I'm fine. So is this young lady here for a familiar?" He asked looking at Ruby. "Yeah she is my new knight and girlfriend Ruby Rose." I said with a smile. He looked at us and smiled. "You make a cute couple." He said walking away meaning for us to follow.

We walk through this beautiful forest with it's tall trees and funny little critters running around. We reach a clearing and I start hearing a caw-ring sound. I look around and see a raven heading towards Ruby. The beautiful black and red raven landed on Ruby's shoulder. "Hello, you are a beautiful bird aren't you." Ruby said with a smile patting its head.

"You have some luck girl, that's a hell raven, once it makes a pact with someone, it will live as long as they do. And it's very loyal." He explained with a happy expression. So Ruby made a pact with the raven and since she didn't have a name Ruby called her Nevermore, because she looked like the grim with the same name. I just sigh, I should show her some Edgar Allen Poe. "Welcome to my family Nevermore." I said with a smile and she flew over and rubbed her head on my cheek.

We said goodbye to the familiar master and left the forest. Once we get back everyone but Rias was gone. "So how did it go?" She asked looking up. "It went great, I got a hell raven." She said very happy with her familiar. "Wow I've never seen a hell raven can I see it?" Rias asked her eyes filled with curiosity. "Sure, Nevermore come to me." She said as the hell raven popped into existence. "Wow it's so beautiful and Ruby where did you come up with that name?" She asked thinking Ruby might have read the raven.

"Well in my world there are creatures called grim and she looks like one called a Nevermore, so that's what I named her." She explained. Rias just nods and continues what she was doing. "So Rias what are you up to, writing a love letter to a certain someone?" I asked teasing her. She blushes and puts earphones in to tune me out. "I'll take that as a yes then." I said and walked out with Ruby.

"Hey Ruby I've got something I need to tell you, so let's not head home for now." I said thinking now is a better time then never.
