Dad lead us to two sofas facing each other and sat down and we followed suit. Opposite us was a man in his early twenties or late teens and the other man looked around thirty. "Rias, Scarlet this is Lord Phoenix and his son Riser, Rias he is your fiancé." Dad said introducing the father and son pair. "Nice to meet you Rias and Scarlet." Lord Phoenix said. I look at dad with a pissed off look.
"Dad you are trying to pair my sister off on her birthday?" I said not able to keep the anger out of my voice. I look at Riser and surprisingly he had a flicker of hope in his eyes. "Scarlet this is for the good our family, we need more pure blood devils." He said looking at me with shock. "No this is just some idealistic crap that high-class devils say when they feel inferior to others. I will not just stand to the side while you sell my sister like meat at a market." I said not able to control my aura leaking out.
"I agree, why are you all so obsessed with having a pure bloodline." Riser said surprising me so much I lost my train of thought. "You're against this as well?" I ask not knowing if I just misheard him. "I told you father that I will only marry Yubelluna and since I don't want this and neither does Rias, we can end this here." Riser said looking happy then he turns to me. "I, Riser Phoenix, thank you for helping, if you are ever in need, I'll help in any way I can." He said getting up and bowing before leaving.
"I was planning on talking to you about that, but it seems you daughter beat me to it." Lord Phoenix said with a smile, wait even Lord Phoenix was going to call it off. I feel deflated, I expected that I would have had to at least have an argument with them. I feel conflicted, I'm happy Rias is no longer in an arranged marriage but it was just too easy. "What's wrong with you Scarlet, we are high-class devils, we have an obligation to up hold." Dad said with a stern voice, I look at him with an incredulous look.
"That is your own values don't pawn them off on your children, we will marry whoever we want and if your not happy with that I'll show you my resolve." I said my anger coming back double and more then my aura was leaking out, as power of destruction was mixed in. "I will say this just once if anyone makes me do something like that I'll destroy them, and that goes double for people I care about." I shout and storm out the room still seething, I destroy the door and head for the training room.
I have to let this out, I need to get to the training room. Outside I reach out my hand to open the door but as soon as my hand touches the handle it disappears. When enter I release all I've pent up. Destroying everything not being able to hold back I start screaming. I've lost track of time, all I see is red. I see someone but I can't speak because I'm still screaming. The figure comes closer, I want to tell them to stay back as I can't control my power, I don't want to hurt whoever it is.
I see someone in a crimson aura and it looks like big brother. He finally reached me and gives me a hug. My mind goes blank and the freedom of sleep takes me. I wake up in my room. ("Sera what happened?") I ask, as everything what happened after I met Riser and his father, is a blank. (*Scarlet you are finally awake I was getting worried, you've been unconscious for about a month. After you helped Rias with the arranged marriage, your dad said something that set you off. You flipped out told him not to put his beliefs on his children.*) Sera said.
Then I start to remember the seething rage. Going to the training room, and letting out my anger. But why did I get so angry, then a face I haven't thought about for eleven years popped into mind. I didn't realise it effected me that much. ("Sera who was it that hugged me at the end?") I ask, thinking I know. (*It was Sirzechs, he was the only one who could get near you.*) Sera said.
