[butcher's tools are required to dismantle animals and monsters]
"You... you've got to be kidding me..."
It was more than obvious that tools were required to efficiently obtain monster parts, fur, claws, and teeth, if these were the desired objects to obtain, although tools were another new problem.
Not having access to the towns and cities, the chance of getting tools was incredibly low, becoming impossible unless Berto attacked a caravan of traveling merchants and they were lucky to have such tools, something that for him was not an option, he did not want to start the game being the bad guy.
"why do I have a feeling that I only put the game in hardcore mode by choosing this class."
It seems that at first glance the class "Legion" not only meant a limitation to the growth of such a character but also the progress of the story and possibly to the time of encountering events, he would be unable to be or participate in them. such as player vs. player tournaments and other activities.
a limitation, for a unique character, somehow this made Berto feel more excited. easy games end very quickly and very difficult ones take time and time was something he had leftover.
"Well, first things first, I'll get out of this mine and start looking for human settlements or other species...OH! I have an idea, the bandits might have tools!"
In any RPG game, the typical bandits could never be absent, forest raiders, assassins who enjoyed killing, looting and attacking unprotected villages but at the same time a great source of loot for any player, anyone who was brave enough to attack them.
Getting out of the mine was not going to be easy, the cave where the wolves appeared was probably still inhabited by them and on the other side there was clarity and a gentle breeze coming from that direction, but we don't know what was on the other side either.
"At this point, I will take my chances with the breeze and not with the wolves in the dark."
Berto said listening strangely to his voice in two different tones, but looking around he couldn't find anyone but the doppelganger who was standing there staring at him.
"Was it you?"
As he said this, the doppelganger moved his lips in the same way. replicating his voice, but with his tone being a little deeper, tilting his head at the same time.
"Ooooh, that's great!"
Berto stood up and faced the doppelganger moving his palm in front of him, but he didn't budge, which indicated that only speech was something the doppelganger could copy, speech, and combat techniques.
"Let's see how this sounds... we are legion."
The two synchronized voices sounded somewhat frightening and disturbing, two equal creatures with the same synchronization of speech. It could be something that would disturb anyone it met.
"Hahaha, you could make a great monster cosplay out of this!"
Berto thought about it for a few seconds and the idea wasn't bad at all, he was already marked as hostile to everyone else in the world, so the idea was perfect as if it was made just for him.
"Yeah...it sounds good, We Are Legion, We are one and all and we are Many."
"Well, it's time to go it alone, when I need your help I'll call you, doppelganger"
Strangely, talking to yourself was like talking to a mirror, a mirror that could attack in the same way as the original.
There was no choice but to ignore it in the same way. This didn't bother Berto since this was his skill and possibly his skill was also unique.
The cave was quite humid inside, too much because it was supposed to be a mining cave and the light indicated that it was inside a mountain or possibly at ground level, but the first option was the right one when he approached the light he could see an incredible fall into the void.
An enormous forest was already waiting for him at the foot of the mountain and in the distance, all that could be seen was a green valley made up of treetops, a worthy place for a photograph.
"It almost makes you want to stay and admire the view... but I'd rather not, I don't want to spend my life here."
"Well... I guess if I can do anything, I think I can climb down too, right?"
Berto said to himself before taking some rocks on the wall and testing his theory and certainly yes, of course, it was possible to climb down.
"Haha, here I go forest!"

~City of beginnings~
A reporter was on the square in the great city of the beginning, watching as players appeared one after another through a portal in the middle of this square.
A live broadcast was taking place welcoming thousands of players who were coming in every second, obviously something expected by the game creators. So broadcasting it live was the best idea to attract more players.
"As we can see, hundreds of thousands of people are entering the square of the beginnings and entering the big city, many are new and some are those who were present at the beta 6 years ago, but the important thing is that everyone is here to enjoy the amazing world of Regulus-online.
The reporter said, raising her hand, showing the world how the players appeared from the portal.
Many players of different nationalities were present, most of them looked around in confusion and amazement, others watched the armor and weapon stores and talked with the intelligent NPC's.
The reporter approached some players who were talking to an NPC from a store intending to ask them some questions to start getting more information for their report.
"Hi and welcome to Regulus-online, my name is Scarlet and I'm a reporter, do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions what you think about the world of Regulus and what do you plan to do when the party is over?"
The reporter didn't think very quickly before asking her question and the new players wouldn't have much to offer unlike a beta player, but betas were impossible to find because there was no distinction between a beta player and an ordinary player.
"Well, we're new and we were talking to the character in the store, who turned out to be incredibly friendly, very attentive, and informed us very well about the items and their functions. It fascinates me to think that the creators gave so much detail to the NPCs in the game, making it feel more alive."
"What do you think can be waiting beyond the giant city gates, valleys, forests, mountains, and other fantastic places?"
The young man looked at his partner next to him and smiled.
"I have no idea what might be waiting for us behind that door, but I can assure you it will surprise us as much as any of the other players on the game."
The reporter was happy to talk and get some information, but she didn't wait and went to find more players to talk to.
Most of the players ignored her while others stopped to talk to her, but in the end everyone seemed to be having fun.
A good start for Regulus-online.
