One of the goals I had been working towards.
Evolution!
I immediately stood up from my bed, throwing the pile of leaves I had constructed into a make-shift blanket aside, I had something much more important to do than sleep!
The system's orange interface elongated to an extent I hadn't seen before, it's usual square shape was now a rectangle, it even had a scroll bar for me to explore the page.

My wings were all but trembling from excitement! This was so cool!
I was so very tempted to jump into the rare and special options, but I knew I needed to make an informed decision knowing all my options, not to mention that looking at the 'lamer' evolutions would make the better ones that much cooler!

Capable of creating it's own young by itself and receives boosts to strength when doing so, magic unlocked at this stage. Hunted regularly and kept in farms due to it's high nutrition value and taste, further improved from it's chick form. Colour may vary depending on nutrition of chick before evolution]
• Tempered Ignison Chick ( Common + )
[--> Rank E- Beast The evolution for an ignison chick which focuses on the future instead of immediate strength. The chick has slight increased speed and strength, instead most of the evolutionary energy goes into increasing wisdom and intelligence. Mana is unlocked for usage by the beast and has a high affinity for flame magic, magic is the main strength of this creature. The mana which courses through it's body adds a spicy taste when eaten, no additional spices needed.]

Sigh.
Again with the TASTE! I thought the evolution might've made me seem more delicious to onlookers but the system itself spent a huge chunk of it's explanation trying to signify how delicious I would taste cooked! Who cares if I don't need extra seasoning! I have enough salt in me right now from the descriptions I could personally season every dish in the world!
The Mature Ignison Chicken seems to be a get strong quick, but sacrifice future strength sort of deal, I had no qualms with immediately dismissing this option, I could fly sure, but that wasn't worth losing out on a lot of strength in the future. However the tempered chick one did catch my eye, I wonder if this evolution pathway could be what my mother took, she seemed strong. Thinking of the one who abandoned me, I got a sour taste in my mouth.
Ugh, whatever, those evolutions weren't the ones which caught my eyes anyway, I darted my eyes towards the two rare options and willed the system to expand it's information.
• Coruscarre Chick ( Rare )
[--> Rank E beast, Corruscarre Chicks can be born of an egg or evolved into by other chicks, this creature possess extremely high affinity for flame magic, manipulating fire mana is as simple as breathing for this Magical Beast. Attack, HP and Constitution are decreased when evolved into this from an ignison chick, that loss in strength is replaced by the huge jump in Wisdom, Intelligence and Soul power, clearly showing the path ahead for this creature's future evolutions.]
• Pallidi Chick ( Rare )
[--> Rank E+ Beast, capable of great violence and strength, this pathway is only unlocked when bad karmic acts such as murder of living beings or sabotage of another's loved ones are done. The creature possess greatly increased HP, Constitution and most of all, attack. The affinity ignison chick's have for flame magic is replaced by dark magic, a mysterious and unknown power, capable to be wielded by only those worthy of it. Mana usage is activated at this evolutionary phase.]

I had to hold off on commenting about the Corruscarre Chick for the time being, 'bad karmic acts'??! What had I done?! Any murder I did was just to save my own hide by making myself stronger, nothing anyone else wouldn't have done? This was something that showed me as being particularly evil! What was the other thing it said? 'Sabotage of another's loved one'-
oh.
Sabotage.
Could sabotage me defined as perhaps maybe consuming a few prized possessions such as just one or two special vegetables? Was the man's heartbreak at me eating them that strong?! Strong enough to give me an evolution focused towards destruction and darkness?!?!
I shook my head in exasperation, if those fruits meant that much to him, I won't eat any more, no matter how delicious they are.
Guilt was creeping up my back but I ignored it for now and re-read Corruscarre Chick's description, this was essentially a mage chicken, weak physically with amazing magic prowess! Ever since I landed my webbed feet on this world I dreamt of shooting fireballs and causing hurricanes with a flap of my wings! This evolution was very interesting, however the loss in constitution worried me, I can't in good conscious pick this, even if other stats get a boost. I need a high constitution.
Even though I hated the Pallidi Chick's description, an increased physical boost while unlocking magic was very tempting, and the inner child in me knew that darkness magic would look badass. I knew picking this was basically me choosing an evil alignment or something with the whole "bad karmic acts" and whatnot, but so far this seemed to be the best choice.
Finally, time for me to fry the golden egg.

What?
This one was a doozy.
I felt like this was the strongest, the name itself implied and suggested that great strength came with that "celestial" sounding title. Using all my knowledge of story's and epics I felt that this evolution line would be what separated me from the mobs of this universe.

Well that got me nowhere.
This was a big choice, especially with the whole "locked evolution pathway", I needed choices! I needed to shape my own destiny and fight on from there!
I sat there, for hours and hours, thinking, racking my brain. What was I to choose?
