Chapter 16

[Preliminaries]

Said Hina.

I went back to my apartment room and observed the sword I got the other day.

It was emitting a weird aura around it as if it was alive. 

"Inspect"

[Error]

I hid it once again and went back to bed. I didn't sleep right away because I realized that I haven't eaten yet. 

I got some canned food and ate it. After eating I rested for a while before going to sleep.

It was 3 am and I started to work out before going to school.

[Strength: 228]

[Agility: 224]

[Stamina: 224]

[Defense: 224]

I was amazed at how much stronger I got but it didn't last long.

[Cannot gain stats through training anymore]

[You have reached the capacity that can be given by training]

It was understandable since I would get too powerful if I just got stats through training and not levelling up.

I took a bath and ate breakfast. I had an idea of going to school early since I don't have anything to do anyways.

Instead of using my abilities, I just used my own speed to get to my school. And to my surprise I got there quicker than using my ability, but then again that was only 1%.

I got to my classroom and it was so quiet that it was starting to get creepy. 

But then someone I didn't even see before came into the room. She stopped near the teachers table and looked at me. She smiled and waved at me. I wave back.

She was about the same height as Hina. Which was about 5'4. She has blonde hair and sky blue eyes. She also has the same skin tone as Stella.

She was walking towards me. 

She said.

Her voice was elegant and cute at the same time. She was wearing a white dress and black stockings.

she said as she smiled.

"Transfer student? We didn't know that our class was gonna get a transfer student."

She held out her hand. I did the same. We shook hands when suddenly Mr. Julius came in. 

She said in excitement as she closed the gap between us.

"Too close"

Someone entered the room.

said Hina before her words were cut off after seeing Yuna so close to me.

Said Stella who was just behind her.

"Crap"

[If I was there I'd also do something to you]

"Ya jelly that they can interact with me?"

[Kinda, but at least I already know everything about you.]

"Everything?"

[Yes]

I was silent. As I was talking with the system Hina was walking towards me. 

She asked me.

Said both Stella and Yuna as they pouted. 

"Ah so precious"

I pat both Yuna and Stella on the head to comfort them. Wait why am I acting so close to Yuna?

they both giggled. I could tell that Hina was jealous so I also pat her on the head.

I said.

I smiled as if saying "no I won't".

I looked around me only to see all of my classmates had already arrived and were staring at me.

"Please don't look at me like that. It's unsettling…"

People from left to right were looking at me from left to right with jealousy in their eyes.

It was already 10 am. I looked around only to notice that everyone was extremely quiet. Well it was understandable. Since in just about an hour the preliminaries will begin.

Everyone was tensed up so much that I could feel the pressure in the air. It was quite a strange feeling for me to be honest. Since these guys, including Hina already knew how it feels to fight in the preliminaries while I don't. Why, you ask? That was because I became an elite only recently. While Hina and the others were elites since they were born. That is also why they have more control over their abilities. Well I have full control over my abilities now but it's still kinda troublesome to use some so powerful.

An hour had passed and it was time. They got even more tense. But after a while they calmed down and looked quite the opposite. Bow they were deadly serious. Me and Hina were now sitting on the seats at the arena. We were in Class-C so we were a bit later on. Now it was for Class-A. And right off the bat it was Stella and to my surprise Kyle. I had a disgusted look on my face as soon as I saw him.

But as much as I wanted him to lose, he can't lose. Since if he loses that would also mean Stella loses. And that would just be sad.

But just as Stella said to me before, Kyle was way more powerful than me, at least at the time we duelled. And that was justified by how he defeated his enemies just now. With one swoop from one of his daggers that was engulfed in flames, the enemies were out for the count. 

Stella didn't even have to do anything. And with that said I could hear almost all of the girls cheering for him. 

Hina pulled my sleeve a bit to get my attention.

A grin grew on my face.
