Chapter 24 - That isn't shampoo

"What honours?" Skun asked in confusion.

With the snap of his fingers, they suddenly teleported to his tower.

With a thud, Skun landed face first to the wooden floor, his butt cheek raised in an awkward position.

"Suuu thif if howf you two came into my caif unannoufed!" His words were muffled by the floor. Pushing himself up, he got up, taking a look around him.

Gently laying Elvis, Mae searched his shelf for the ointment, not paying attention to the overly curious Skun.

"Would you stop breathing down my neck?" She complained, after seconds of enduring Skun watching her actions so closely for comfort.

"Oh right." He backed away suddenly, giving a nervous grin.

"Tch-" She scoffed, carrying on her search on the shelf, throwing out irrelevant contents.

Skun acted on his reflexes, catching all she threw behind her and placing them on the floor calmly.

"That's my stuff you are throwing out from there." Elvis scolded with a groan.

"Go figures." Mae deadpanned at the obvious situation.

"This makes my search much easier, but on a serious note." She turned around to face him, a vial in her hand. "Who puts shampoo into these kinds of bottles? And why is it in the medication section?" She queried.

"That isn't shampoo." Elvis replied, burning up in embarrassment, turning to face the other side.

"If it isn't shampoo then what is this?" She studied the vial for a while. The white liquid rocked as she shook the bottle, but something was strange–there was no foam.

Then the answer hit her, stunned; she lost grip of the bottle immediately. If not for Skun sliding to catch the vial it would have shattered in hundred of pieces, it's content in a gooey mess.

"Watch how you handle these!" Skun was growing tired of expecting another slip from her hand.

Continuing on her search, she pushed a few vials aside before she found the ointment far in.

"Found it." She regained her composure. "Turn around, take off your shirt, I need to apply the ointment." She ordered.

"Skun can help me with it." Elvis wanted nothing more than Mae to see his naked torso.

"I can?" Skun pointed to himself surprised, he had no knowledge of what an ointment was or does nor the application of it.

"He can?" Mae turned to her side to observe Skun's reaction, and there it was–her confirmation, he knew nothing of what Elvis had tried to imply.

"I assure you, I don't want to do this as much as you do too, but both of us know Skun has no knowledge of what is to be done here, so would you want help or more damage?" She taunted with a giggle.

Narrowing his eyes, Elvis knew what she said was nothing but the truth, he couldn't avoid it, heaving a sigh, he mouthed the word 'help'.

"Great! Skun do help him with relieving him of his cloth." She gleefully ordered.

Skun pretended to act all macho, bringing out his chest, and walked with his legs a little too far apart than necessary.

He aimed his fingers at Elvis' waistband, which caused him to gasp, his hand held Skun's in place, preventing him from pulling down.

"She meant my shirt you dumb dragon." He hissed.

Skun retracted his hand, nervously chuckling at how he had almost made a costly mistake. "I apologize for the mix-up." He made another attempt at the hem of his shirt, this time Elvis made no comment.

'Finally I got something right.' Skun's face brightened in delight, licking his lips. He pulled the cloth until it got to his armpit, only then did his initial confusion set in once more.

"Umm why isn't it going over his head?" He openly spoke his thoughts out loud.

Mae internally facepalmed, Elvis on other hand has a cross popping veins growing on his forehead.

He couldn't believe he had been reverted to being treated as a baby in a sense, nor did he find it amusing that the person who was meant to help had no knowledge of what he was doing.

"Mae could you just come help me undress instead?" He asked in frustration, the pain had started to pulse, a swell already formed on his side, with no energy to magically heal the internal injury, he felt close to useless for relying on the manual help.

Skun's eyes lost the once enthusiasm it had, replaced with sadness, he was about to walk away when he felt a hand on his arm, stopping him.

"Mae?" His eyes brimmed with tears, when he was called a dumb dragon he counted it as nothing but a word said out of frustration, but now he knew it was all said because he was as useless as he was now as he was as a dragon.

Mae had suddenly understood why Skun had been acting the way he did, he had been transformed into something he was not and thrown into the world of acting like one. This was bound to be tasking and confusing, mistakes would surface, so would confusion.

Pulling him into a hug, she gently patted his back, "I know it's hard, but please don't take his words in that sense. He didn't mean to speak in such a manner. You will get better eventually." She whispered into his ear.

Elvis watched in irritation at the two of them hugging in front of him, "Hello! You have a patient that needs care here."

"Shh!" Mae hushed him, her hand now caressing his back.

"Skun are you crying?" He could sense something was wrong, it was unusual for him to stay still or quiet for quite some time.

"Shh!" Mae hushed again with a frown this time.

Elvis raised the corner of his lips, shocked he would get such a reaction twice.

"You can do this." He heard Mae encourage Skun as she broke from the hug, her hand still on his shoulder though.

Giving a nod towards Skun, he nodded in reply, wiping his tears, he had a smile on his face the moment he turned to Elvis.

To anyone that smile was nothing but a normal smile, but to Elvis this creeped him to the bones, his whole demeanor itched at why that smile was directed at him.

"What do you think you want to do?" He asked in horror, the moment Skun made his approach.
