The humid air of bat piss slithered among the walls of the tomb. The wet soil of the ground left footprints of whoever took a step inside. The dirt that covered the walls emulsified with the liquid and slid off, revealing ancient wooden coffins, rotting at an alarming rate. Sounds of riotous bangs within the coffin crashed. The two halted on their steps, Bagani unsheathes both his sword and prepared his stance. He activated Hait, lighting up the surrounding with its bright blue glow along with the torch they currently have.
"You could've used that before instead of the torch," Santos stated. "What a waste of good wood."
"It takes energy. I'd be exhausted before I knew it if I kept it on." Bagani explained.
"You'd be exhausted by making a sword glow?" Santos laughed hysterically. "I really don't know what Isiah saw in you."
Bagani sighed. Strong projectiles of bandages from within the coffin lunge out. Splinters of wood and coins of gold flew in the air clanking on the grounds they landed. Shrill screams echoed in the air as mummified monsters rise from the dead. The smell of rotting flesh further creeps into the noses of the duo.
"How the hell is these still rotting?!" Bagani anxiously asked.
Santos rolled her eyes in annoyance. "How stupid..."
Mummies stood up, their skins devoided and flesh are decomposing. Insects slowly consuming them as they walked. Jewelry clinks from their bones. Santos let out the biggest grin Bagani has ever seen. Her eyes filled with greed and bloodlust, she held her dagger up her hand and spun it around. She licked the top of her mouth, swallowed her fear in the process. Santos threw the dagger in the middle of the horde.
'Wait for-" Bagani failed to continue his sentence.
In a blink of an eye, Santos disappeared out of thin air and teleported, holding her dagger mid-air. The mummified corpses noticed her presence form within. Santos looked at them with a sharp eye leveling the playing field on where she knows the attacks are bound to be dodged. She threw it upwards, it stuck up the ceiling causing the debris from above to crack a bit sprinkling grains of sands downwards. The monsters' used their magic and lashed out their bandages as projectiles on Santos, roaring deafening and horrifying screams in the process. Using her ability with the dagger once again, Santos teleported upwards, ahold of her trusty dagger. With her trusty weapon, she threw it on a mummy's head, indefinitely executing it and disabling its magic. Bagani on the other hand lunged in using his sword, Hait, he swiftly cut through three monsters with ease using Hait's lightweight and precision ability. The bright blue light waves through the air as three corpses spewed out disgusting green liquids.
"Guess you have some use after all." Santos sarcastically blurted out.
More coffins arise from the ground, surrounding the two and forcing them to fight. "Guess we'll have to see." Bagani unenthusiastically said.
Meanwhile, Juan and Isiah face another threat.
"Never seen this before." Juan gushed, he threw his head back and slapped his thigh in amusement. "No matter how big you are, you're still just a mere minion."
Isiah pulled his wheellock pistol from his back, loading it with gunpowder and a bullet in the process. Juan, on the other hand, opened his sack of items. He took out a hollow item, covering him from sight.
"Invisibility cloak again?" Isiah teased. "I thought tacticians never use the same trick twice."
"On one person," Juan added. "This thing is pretty effective, let's be honest."
An eight feet tall golem arises from the pillars of the rocky part of the tomb. Its eyes glowed a fiery red glow, as it moved it exhaled smog of sand out of its mouth. Isiah let out a small smirk as he aimed his beloved gun on the head of the summoning. As he glared at it with eyes lacking mercy, he pulled the trigger. A loud bang crashes the ear of the two as the mixture of gunpowder and steel fired the bullet straight to the monster's face.
"Bullseye!" Isiah cheered.
A small quake shook the room, sand slid, and came together to magically form into stone and replace the broken part of the being. The thing gathered up more resources using the sand of the ground and formed stone Vajra Mushti on its hands, giving it its spiky shape for extra offensive prowess.
"Didn't expect it to be able to think." Isiah nervously laughed. "What do you plan to do Juan?"
After a few seconds of no response, he looked over his shoulder and realized that he was now all alone. "Guess he started already." Isiah once again loaded his gun. Carefully placing the gunpowder into the barrel, he ran around the room out of the golems reach. "You should've waited and told me the plan first..." He thought to himself. He flung the pistol upwards, closing its case after he finished reloading. Isiah slid across the dusty room, searching for a perfect spot to hit the large creature. With only a flick of a lever, a powerful blast of another bullet dismembered the golem's mouth. The stone creature fell to its knees and shuts down. Isiah let out a long sigh, gazing over the monster he just took down. "Guess that was the weak spot."
"Juan! You can come out now!" He shouted, looking around the room to see is he can detect where he is.
"Move!" Juan shouted from a distance.
The sound of moving stone once again emitted. A fast swing to arm sent Isiah flying to a corner. The golem stood up, even more, infuriated than before. The sand once again formed into stone replacing its dislocated jaw.
Out of thin air, Juan reappeared in front of Isiah. "Are you okay?"
Isiah heavily breathed due to the overwhelming he felt. "Didn't we talk about telling me the plan first and foremost?"
"Okay then." Juan sighed and agreed, sweating and breathing heavily. He swiftly told Isiah his plan and took off.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Isiah shouted. "My arm is broken, man."
Before turning invisible once again, Juan looked over him with confidence. "Of course man. I'm the tactician after all."
Isiah took a deep breath, gazing at the figure from head to toe he smiled in pressure. "You're insane..." The golem once again tried to take a quick swing at the injured man. Isiah swiftly dodged. With his other arm dislocated, he went to his knees and briskly reloaded his gun. Its steps quaked the ground, the stone golem moved closer towards Isiah, smashing everything in the path. Isiah rolled forward to dodge the attacks of the stone creature. Bricks fall from all around the room as the creatures destroyed everything around it. Isiah kicked a sandstone to the face of the enemy. A drop out sweat drips over his back as the moment of truth awaits him. A precise shot to the sandstone made it explode back into sand, hindering the golem's vision. With the only rage fueling it up, the monster swung its spiked fists from place to place. Isiah reloaded his pistol for the last time, he gulped as fear caught up to him. He ran to a corner, his hands shook as death nears him with every second he waited. He pulled the trigger using his finger and fired his last shot on the head of the golem. The colossus steps closer to the corner, he fisted the corner. The echoing sound of breaking bones as the golem relentlessly tried to massacre Isiah in the corner. The ground shakes, with the room along with it. Debris of a long pillar came falling down from above, proactively crushing the head of the golem and turning of the glow inside its eyes. Isiah sat down next to the rocks with his dislocated arm.
"You're crazy..." He stated, huffing up and exhaling air at an alarming rate.
"I wonder how the other two are doing..."
