"A necro-what?" Ezekiel raised his eyebrow after Professor Lagun revealed his discovery.
The professor turned his head towards Ezekiel and explained. "A person that can summon the dead. He can also animate creatures into life depending on the magic cost to summon them which is the exact cause of this incident."
"Summoning the dead? Animating monsters? Casting elemental magic without a sorcerers stone? What are you guys using? Guard Symbols?" Ezekiel squinted his eyes, scratching his head he asked.
Noah and Lagun looked at Ezekiel with confusion, they tilted their heads and gave the young man an unsettling look. "What are you twenty thousand years old? We don't live only using three types of magic variables anymore old man." They teased as Lagun further examines the flesh of the summoned creatures.
"We need to report this to the capital," Noah stated. "As much as I hate to rely on Kaharian Perlas we need to ask for their help."
Ezekiel looked back and decided to return to Mapagisa first. "I'm gonna go back to Village Magisa later. I'll say farewell to Danilo and his wife first. Anyways good luck. The leather guy can probably take care of everything if there are any more to come." He then skipped away to fetch his things.
As he reached the couple's house, he was instantly greeted. His things were on a chair, fully prepared for his next travel. "Get some sleep kid," Danilo stated. "You have a long day tomorrow."
Ezekiel chuckled, grabbing his items and opening the front door. "It's fine. I have to get there early anyway." His vision suddenly began to wiggle. He stopped on his tracks, his legs shook, and his arms were completely weak. "Ah, crap..." He closed his eyes, his body gave up on him, cold air blew through his face as he fell.
"Got him," Eeya grunted as she catches the guy mid-air and tries to carry him. "How heavy..."
(???)
"I like this kid."
Ezekiel opened his eyes. An audible sound of a man echoed through his dizzy head and woke him up.
"Where am I?" Ezekiel muttered, his vision blurred, and ear-piercing sound tingling inside his ear. He looked over his body. A drop of sweat dripped as his heart skipped a beat. Ezekiel's skin was filled with patches of blue, same as of that of an Asulhero.
"Get up." A familiar voice echoes. Ezekiel looked up, a silhouette of a humongous man shadows over the distance. Light blinds Ezekiel's sight, a sense of humanity was felt once again. Waking up from a peculiar dream.
(Present)
Resounding crows of rooster blasted the ears of Ezekiel. He quickly gained consciousness and stood up. Once again looking over his body to check if he is human. His headaches as he took a step forward.
"Are you ready to go?" Danilo asked Ezekiel. He and his wife ate their lunch on the dining table.
Ezekiel sat down on the sofa once again. Squeezing his aching forehead. "What time is it?
Danilo chewed on his food and made a short pause. He threw an apple at Ezekiel which the young man instantaneously caught. "It's noon already. Don't starve yourself eat that."
Ezekiel bid farewell and said his thanks to the two. He came rushing out of the house with his pack of things. Munching on an apple hanging with only his bite, he ran out of the village's gate and once again into the forest towards Village Mapagisa. "Inay... Itay... Just you wait for me!"
A thunderstorm arises as Ezekiel runs relentlessly back home. "Great just what I need right now." He stated sarcastically. The soil lumps down with every step taken, the whistling wind became even louder, leaves of trees flying in the wind, strong rain falling down, and the sound of thundering roars blast the skies. Ezekiel smiled through it all, he swipes his nose trying to hold back the tears of joy within him.
The grinding sound of claws to barks of trees followed Ezekiel as he sprinted throughout the woods. "Help!" A voice of a little girl shouted within the trees. Ezekiel pulled his breaks and stop on his tracks. He looked around in search of the little girl.
"Where are you?!" He shouted in the middle of the path, eyes swinging back and forth to look around.
The bushes rumble around. A little girl with blonde hair came out of the tall grass. Her clothes were torn, she had a huge scar on the chest. Crying with despair she ran towards Ezekiel and hugged the young man. "Please mister take me home!" She cried.
Ezekiel let out a soft smile. He patted the weeping child's tear and comforted her. "It's okay, It's okay," Ezekiel stated. "No one is going to hurt you anymore."
Ezekiel took out his bag from his arms and covered the little girl from the rain. They skipped on the path, traveling towards Mapagisa. "Say, kid, where are you from?" Ezekiel queried the child.
A very small pause in the conversation occurs as the child seemed to think. "Village Mapagisa! We have a lot of hardworking people!" She stated with a smile.
"Okay then," Ezekiel replied with a peaceful smile as well. "We better hurry then."
The two continued to run towards Ezekiel's village. "Here we are!" The little girl smiled cheered. A beautiful view of Village Mapagisa from atop of a hill was witnessed by Ezekiel for the very first time.
"It's so mesmerizing it could even make me tear..." Ezekiel stated. He put his hand atop the girl's head. "I haven't asked yet what your name yet."
The little blondie looked at Ezekiel with joy once again and smiled. "Mary..." She hesitantly said.
Ezekiel then gripped his hand around the child's head. "Mary huh. You look awfully familiar. In fact, you look exactly like someone I know."
The little kid then looks at Ezekiel, its smile faded away and became a frown of fear. "What?..."
Ezekiel's smile became a menacing grin filled with rage from within. "You are disgusting. You do know that right?" He asked, his grip proceeding to get tighter.
The blonde girl's teeth became uneven and sharp. It smiled in front of Ezekiel, but still unable to escape the young man's grasp. "Since when did you know?" It chuckled, replacing the adorable voice of a child with that of a grown man.
"Since the very beginning," Ezekiel replied. He looked at the distance and looked upon his life. "Cassie, a four-year-old child of Mapagisa. She was the only one who was blonde within the village so she was treated by her friends with unique treatment. Not bullying though. She likes to sit and listen to the old geezer's story. This child was massacred along with her family in front of me when you and the other freaks invaded the village. To think you have the audacity to copy her. Lost? You know damn well the only thing that's lost here is your useless life."
The little girl's face transformed back to its original form of being an Aswang. It hysterically laughed as it listened to Ezekiel's rants. "So what are you going to do about it? Cry? Kill me?"
Ezekiel held his chin with confidence. "Both of those and much more." He said. "I will kill not only you but your entire race. Within these two years, you see I have been hurting myself and risking my life to find a way to decimate your kind. I will be successful in doing so." His palm glowed as arcane energy from the sorcerers stone surges through him. "The Buhayostine is mine and you will pay for all of your actions against humanity."
"Buhayostine?!" The Aswang laughed even harder. "Good luck to you. Nobody will ever be near the presence of the thing!" It teased. "Plus what are you on about? You call me a useless lifeform but you yourself have no purpose. Let's say you actually manage to kill all Aswang kind. What then? You will never achieve anything greater than revenge. You will not change the fact that there are dead bodies on your hand."
The young man looked down and sighed. As the sun went down he looked at the creature in the eyes. "Yes you are right I can't change anything in the past. Those lives will always be in my memories and part of my regrets." He let out his charge of overwhelming electricity popping up the whole creature's body into a pool of blood.
"But I can change the future."
