Chapter 4 - I’m not S&M, I think?

So as I was sitting there with the slime continuously ramming into me. I heard another notification go off in my head. "Learned Skills: , . Title {Tormentor} gained. Skill series learned."

Oi! Oi! What do you mean and {Tormentor}!? I have done no such things okay! What, you say me sitting here not letting the slime kill me is tormenting it? What the hell do you mean!? Not like I told it to attack me did I!? Geez! Fine I will just kill it and end its misery okay! Wait! Why are you all saying I should die for the slime's happiness!?

Letting out a sigh, I raised the sharpened stick in my hand and thrust it forward stabbing the slime with all my might. As I did I watched as a few floating texts appeared in my vision (-5 HP). I checked the slime's HP and it went from 20 HP to 15 Hp. Seeing this I quickly pulled my sharpened stick out of the slime and thrust it three more times.

"Slayed Blue Slime Gained 5 Experience Points!"

Oh looks like I got some experience points. Too bad my status does not tell me how much experience to next level though. Well, nothing I can do about what's not there. Let's just hope if I kill a few more slimes here my level will go up. For now, let's see what these new skills do.

[A Passive skill that will nullify pain from attacks. The higher the skill level the better the skill will nullify pain.]

Oh, this is not too bad since I am afraid of pain as it is. I am guessing me stabbing myself earlier helped me gain this skill. But this also tells me that I can gain skills outside eating things.

[Passive Skill that toughens the owner's skins from attacks. Provides some resistance from physical attacks. Currently provides 1% resistance to physical attacks. Skill will grow equally with level.]

Nice, so it's kinda like an armor for noobs right? This works out pretty well for me seeing how I have no armor at all. But I guess in order to level it I will need to allow things to hit me. At least I now have the and my health basically regenerates instantly so I have no issues there as long as I try to level it with lower leveled monsters. But I also got a new title...

{Tormentor}

[Title given to those who torment defenseless creatures and monsters. Title grants Living Hell series.]

What!? I did no such thing!? When did I torment anything that was defenseless!? Huh? I tormented the slime? How is that a defenseless creature or monster!? If it wasn't for the fact that I have I could have died to it! There is something seriously wrong with this system. Anyway! Let me see what this Series is all about.

[A series of 3 attack spells and 1 passive skill. Grants skills , , . Grants passive skill ]

These are some very scary names for skills and they are all max level on top of that. Sigh… Let me just see what these skills are.

[A mental attack that will put the target into a dreamlike state where they will have nightmares about the things they fear the most. Cost -100 MP per second.]

That really is a scary ability but it seems like I will not be able to use it any time soon. The MP cost is way too much!

[Attack skill that engulfs the target in flames born straight from hell. Cost -500 Mp to cast and deals -200 Hp per second.]

[Area of effect skill that opens a portal to purgatory under the feet of targets in the area. Targets will spend ten seconds inside purgatory being tormented. Cost -1 MP per second for ten seconds. Deals -100HP per second.]

Err…. Isn't this like an extremely OP skill!? If I see a monster I can just use this skill and kill everything with 1k HP and lower with one use and with my current MP, I can already use it twice! Good, good. I will keep this skill as a last resort just in case. As for this last skill…

[passive skill that wraps the body in Dominance Chains that can be used as a weapon as well as defense. Gain extra experience with every monster dominated by the chains. Damage -150 per hit. Ten Experience per monster.]

Only after reading the information did I realize I had long Chains around my wrist and a shorter one around my neck. Why does this sound like something out of an S&M video… Well, I guess it's not all that bad. It means I can kill monsters in basically a cheat like fashion. Why are you all looking at me like that!? Why are you all slowly backing away as if I was some kind of disease!? Just so you all know I am not into that whole S&M thing okay! At least now I can do some leveling while I search for water.

Before I left I decided to test out the chains. And I have to say, they are pretty amazing. One swing and I can take out as many slimes as I hit. I did test, to see if my skills would go up if I had a bunch hitting me at the same time. Luckily I was able to get it both and to level 2. It seems only skills gained from can not be upgraded by using the same objects.

Since these two skills are raised a bit I was quite happy. But I still have to find a water source quickly or I might die! I keep getting sidetrack with all the messages in my head but I really do need to get going now. So with my mind made up I decided to go back to searching for water!
