Rose's Pov

I close my eyes and takes a deep breath I can't believe this is happening, I thought it was a dream but it's happening in real life, I slowly opened my eyes to get back, in reality, trying to control my sobs.

" I will take rose's custody after all she is my daughter, I can give her a better life " my father sounded concerned giving me small smile.

"Never! Rose is my daughter too, she is everything I have now I can't give her custody to her father" my mother replied while trying to control her sobs, my mom's lawyer handed her the glass of water, she takes a sip putting the glass back on the table.

What just mom said is true I am the only family she has after marrying my dad against her parent's wish they told her to never come back. Even my big brother Ricky left home to follow his dreams.

And my dad who is one of the most successful businessmen in the country he is in the fifties but still managed to look handsome beyond anyone's imagination most of the girls of my age still want to date him.

One thing that I still don't understand is how my parents manage to spend twenty-five years of marriage together.

When I was a child I saw how much mom and dad cares and loves each other every day my dad gifts something to mom and in return, she makes tasty food love is eternal but all of sudden everything messed up when one day I saw my parents fighting like crazy.

They never specified the reason for fighting that was happening for the last two years.

Finally, they are taking divorce the only god knows why I am seventeen but still treat me like a ten-year-old girl they can at least tell me the reason for their separation.

All I know is because of me they were living together and also because of me they are fighting for custody.

And This is breaking my heart.

"Mr.Mcmillan and Mrs.Lauren why don't you ask your daughter who she wants to live with I think she is old enough to decide this" My dad's lawyer said, all set of eyes turns towards my direction.

If I want to decide with whom I want to live with then trust me I will choose to live all alone, eating, sleeping, and working that's it.

But this choice is not in the option.

"Say my baby girl who you want to live with?" My father asked and after taking a long breath I nodded.

"I wanna live with... Mom" I reply, not wanting to believe in what I just said but she is indeed alone I can't leave her like dad, it will totally break her.

My dad's eyes wide open but he shakes his head in disbelief because I and dad are so close he was my friend more than my father but if he chooses to leave mom then I choose to leave him.

"Fair enough but rose thinks again" He tries to convince me, I shook my head in no.

"That's enough Chris she already decided," Mommy said and I try to control my tears that are ready in my eyes to fall. I looked up to meet my father's gaze maybe this can be the last time I am seeing him. There's no doubt he doesn't like my decision his face is enough to say this.

After their divorce case was done in papers as well, mom and dad signed the papers, and one last time both side lawyers said what is written on them. I wasn't much interested to listen but all I heard was mom didn't take alimony because she doesn't want any type of relationship with dad she doesn't wanna meet him again.

In other circumstances, I stopped mom but she is a doctor and I am sure she can manage without dad's money. After everything is done, me and mom walked out of court to build the ing, I turned my head to see my dad who given me a sad smile before sitting in his Mercedes.

"Now What? Do we even have a place to stay?" I asked and mom gives me a worried look for a moment then she nods. "For now we are going to your aunt's house to stay after taking your stuff from your dad's house" she replies and I nodded in agreement.

She is talking about my aunt Mariel she best friend of mom since childhood even her daughter and I shares the same bond, aunt Mariel always visits our house at Christmas and gives me lots of gifts, to be frank, she loved me more than my mom and she understands me better than anyone else out there and there's no doubt she will help mom in this situation.

Mom dropped me in front of dad's house to pack me all stuff she told me she will never step into this house again so it means I have to pack everything by myself, If I would know about my decision earlier then definitely I packed stuff in the morning. A guard bowed before opening the security gate for me as I walked inside no one was other except some maids.

Thank god, I can't take the risk of running into my father.

I quietly and quickly walked upstairs towards my room even if dad is at home he can't hear my foot steps. I removed my big suitcase from my wardrobe and started to fill my clothes, shoes, and other necessary stuff.

I turned around and suddenly bumped into my dad that's what I was afraid of he was standing at the door blocking my way out he was staring at me like he caught me stealing something "dad move aside" I said looking at him, without arguing much I decided to push him a little but thanks to his strong muscles I failed.

"Why?" He asked me, taking a step forward his voice and face shows no signs of sorrow or anger. "What why?" I ask back, completely knowing that it might piss him off because I already know that he wants to know.

" That why you choose to live with mom instead of me you know very well that I can give you everything that your mother can't even your study in the United States." He stated, furrowing his eyebrows. He's right my mom's salary can't pay my fees for a foreign university where I want to complete my graduation.

" First I want to know Who told you this dad? And second, if I had plans to study in foreign then I would cancel it because I would never leave mom alone" I rudely replied.

He sighed " Don't lie to me, I am your dad these pictures of the united states you hang this on the wall in order not distract yourself from your goals" He smirks seeing me speechless, I actually hang those posters because they will always remind me of my dreams but I don't want anything " let's make a deal?" he said and I looked at him with wide eyes what kind of deal he wants to make with me?.

"Say" I reply, at least there's no harm in hearing his deal. " Good, since your brother left home, you're the only heir left of my billion-dollar company that after graduation you have to take over so I want you to accompany me in all the important meetings and deals this help you to understand our business and its rule so in future you will get no problems " He explains, I thought for a moment before replying him.

" What's my benefit in this? I will just miss my classes for not-" Dad cuts me off. " I will pay you for every time you will accompany me so you can help yourself with that money " My mouth hanged open, Now this is what I call the best offer as long as I am going to stay with mom there's no chance of me getting money. " You are offering me a bribe " I try to sound normal like his offer did not affect me but it did.

He laughs with a smirk " If that's what you want to name our deal so what say? " he asks

"I was scared why It takes you so long?" mom asks sounds worried. She helped me with my bags as I sat in the car and closed the door with a loud bang. " it's nothing mom I just forgot Where's my math book is but don't worry I got it, let's go" I normally said and gives me small smile before driving us to my aunt's house.

When we reached there, aunty gives us a surprising look like she didn't expect us to be here before pulling mom and me for a big hug that we returned her gaze soon falls on our luggage her smile change with the annoyed look " You finally left your house, Jennifer, didn't you? She asks raising a brow, my mom gives a sad smile before explaining everything.

After the explanation aunty nods in understanding and just like we thought she allowed us to stay here in her house as long as we want.
