I wake up barely being able to move.
"Ugh, I'm sore."
I mumble to myself as I slowly sit up on the edge of my bed. I look at the clock.
It's just 6 am. Damn.
I look over at the sword on the other side of my bed.
Who could have left this in my room? How did they get it.
I think as I reach toward the blade. I lift it.
It's light as a feather.
I start unsheathing the blade. It flashes a bright white that blinds me for a moment. When I look back at it, it's a knife with notches in the blade.
What the, what just happened.
I think as I pick up the knife.
This is weird. The last few days have been alot to take in.
I slowly get out of bed and throw my clothes on.
I'm walking to school.
I think as I put the knife in my back pocket and walk out the front door. After walking for 10 minutes I see someone walk out of their house and they fall in walking behind me.
I don't like where this is going. Am I going to have to stab someone?
I draw the knife and turn toward the person. It's still too dark to make out their face. Just enough like from street lights to see the figure of a person stop walking. The person vanishes and appears at me.
Shit, a demon!
I try to swing but the person grabs my wrist. They laugh lightly.
I can tell by the laugh it's a girl.
She reaches up and ruffles up my hair.
"I can't decide if it's cute or sad that you thought that you could hurt me with that knife."
She says as she let's go of my wrist and walks by me. I quickly turn around.
I'm pretty sure she could've killed me. I don't know why, but she's scarier than Aziria.
I quickly run to catch up to her.
"Who are you?"
I ask. She stops and turns around.
"You can call me Vic Rosenheart."
She replies with a smile.
"What's your name?"
She asks.
"I'm Kai Narukami."
I say. It's still to dark to see her face clearly, but I notice she's wearing a school shirt, long black pants and gym shoes. She laughs a little.
"What's funny?"
I ask she keeps laughing and replies.
"You. You're staring at my clothes like you've never seen clothes before."
How can she see where I'm looking. I can't even see her eyes, how can she see mine?!
I take a step back. She turns around and keeps laughing as she walks away.
Vic Rosenheart, she's an odd one.
I think as I start walking behind her.
"So you're a demon?"
I ask. She stops dead in her tracks.
"Well?"
She turns around and stares at me.
"I'm not a demon!"
She yells at me. I jump back amd she takes a step toward me.
"I'm an angel."
She says as she smiles.
An angel huh?
I stare at her.
"How many releases do you have?"
I ask.
"Hmm."
She mumbles closing her eyes and rubbing the back of her neck.
"I don't feel inclined to tell you that."
And with that she turns around and vanishes.
Grr, I bet she had 2 releases.
I start walking toward the school. After 3 minutes of walking, sunlight starts shining. A bus drives by me when I'm a few hundred feet from the school. I soon arrive in school. I see Rukia and run to her, and quickly hug her tightly. She hugs back.
"Where were you yesterday?"
She asks worriedly.
"I was, um."
Shit, I can't tell her that I'm a demon.
"I was sick."
She frowns then hugs me again.
"Well I'm glad you're ok."
All of a sudden I feel energy growing behind me. I turn around as Zero throws a punch at me. I catch his punch easily. I see he has a shocked expression on his face. I look behind him and see Dillan is also shocked. I smile and push Zero away. Then I see Vexx walk into school with a ripped hoodie on. Zen is right behind him. They both walk over to me and stare at me.
"Well nice to see you're alive."
Says Zen sarcastically. Vexx walks away and goes straight to his class.
"Yea, I gotta get to class too."
Says Zen while he runs to his class. Then Zero and Dillan walk to their classes. I turn to Rukia and see her staring at me. She hugs me quickly hugs me.
"What did that kid mean by 'Well nice to see you're alive'?"
I hug her back.
"He um, thought I was really sick."
Rukia smiles.
"Oh, ok."
She smiles before turning around.
"I'm goin to class."
She says as she walks away.
"See you later."
I mumble.
Wow I feel really loved today.
I think as I walk to my first class. As I walk into my algebra 2 class I see a new girl sitting in the desk behind mine. As I sit down and do my bell ringer she leans forward and whispers in my ear.
"Hey, we got the same class."
I ignore her cause I thought she was joking around. When we do roll call, they call Vic Rosenheart, and she answers. I quickly turn around to see her wearing a white school shirt, a tie and a long black pants. She has brown hair with red tips that go down to her shoulders. She smiles and pats my head.
"You're looking at me like you've never seen clothes again, Kai."
She says with a smile. I turn around and stare at the wall the entire class. After class she grabs my shirt as I'm walking out the door so I can't leave. When everyone else is gone she whispers in my ear.
"Have a nice day, and don't break my blade."
And with that she walks out and quickly gets down the hallway around the corner. All my other classes I can't stop thinking around bout what she said.
Don't break my blade? She put the blade in my room? Well she can teleport.
At the end of the day I decide to walk home again. As I'm walking out the door I hear Aziria call my name from the roof. I turn around and see her sitting on top of the school.
What the hell is she doing up there.
She teleports right to me and smiles.
"Hey Aziria."
I mumble as I turn around and start walking away. She laughs.
"I felt your energy all the way from my house 2 miles away."
Damn.
I think as I keep walking. All of a sudden. Zero walks out of a house across the street. He points at me.
"I challenge you, Kai, to a fight!"
He yells then comes running to me as fast as he can.
He's much slower than he was when we first met. Or, am I just so much faster?
He throws a punch but I easily dodge it. He does a roundhouse kick toward my face, but I catch his ankle.
"You won't beat me, Zero."
I say. He has a look of shock and fear on his face. Aziria laughs and says.
"Why don't you two just quit. Zero, Kai is stronger than he was hefore. And if both of you were to fight seriously you would definitely be noticed."
She says laughing. Quickly Vic drops down out of nowhere between me and Zero and split kicks both of us in the stomach. Sending both of us back 10 feet.
"Fighting annoys me."
Vic mumbles before walking away. All of a sudden Zero goes into his first release. He flies straight toward Vic. In the blink of an eye Vic rips both of his wings off and drops Zero to the ground. She laughs lightly.
"Don't make me kill you."
She says with a grin. Zero is bleeding profusely out of his back where his wings were. He grabs his sword pendant and turns it into a big sword.
"Let's do this."
He says while readying his stance for battle. Vic stares at him.
"If you want to die, I will give you your wish."
She says before summoning a sword made of black flames. Aziria puts her arm across my chest and pushes me back.
"This is gonna get dangerous, I just hope no humans see us."
She says readying her sword to protect herself.
