Chapter 106 - Before the Storm [Chapter 106]

I take a deep breath and stretch before getting back to creating weapons. I glance back to the portal noticing more and more people flooding through, almost an unending amount.

"Will I be able to create enough weapons?"

I pause, holding my hand to my chin.

"Or, what if I played this smarter?"

I grin, quickly realizing I can reshape the magic to create weapons faster.

"I forgot; I can shape magic. So instead of using the [Singular Weapon Creation] that Nevereth used, why don't I create another version?"

I exhale deeply and extend my hand towards the ground. With a flash of blue and white, seven weapons appear around me.

"[Multi-Weapon Creation]. But it seems seven is the most high-level weapons I can make."

I clench my hand a few times, getting ready to create more weapons. Several people quickly walk to me, pick up weapons, then move back into the crowd. With a quick nod, I extend both my hands and close my eyes.

"[Multi-Weapon Creation]!"

I get into the rhythm and easily create weapons at a much faster rate. What seems like seconds blur by me, before I'm suddenly pulled from my flow. An intense pain ripping through my hands. Blood flows steadily from my palm onto the ground beneath me.

I look down, noticing I'm standing in a small puddle formed from my own blood. I sigh and heal my hands once again.

"These magic burns seem to get worse the more I use magic creation. Not sure how much more I'll be able to create, will I be able to supply everyone with weapons?"

A strong gust suddenly blows passed me. I quickly look back, seeing Ayvex landing near me. A few people drop from her back onto the ground, and after a second, I recognize them.

"Wait, I thought you guys were killed by Arthur?"

I turn to fully face them: Lancelot, Galahad, Lucan, Safir, and Lamorak. Members of the Knights of The Round. Lancelot puts his hands on the two swords on his hips.

"Well, Arthur did kill half of us. But we managed to escape, although after seeing what he became, I believe he let us live."

I quickly look at everyone, noticing some are also using other members' weapons.

Lancelot has his weapon, but also the sword that Modred used.

Galahad still wields his shield, but also a deep red blade as well.

Lamorak has his longsword on his hip, but also what looks like Arthur's Excalibur wrapped on his back.

Lucan and Safir both only have their weapons, a rapier and two daggers respectively.

I raise a question.

"If memory serves, don't your weapons have incredible magical abilities?"

Lancelot nods.

"They do, but my turn."

His face is stern, obviously serious about something.

"I want you to fill me- no us, in on what's happening."

I nod, and for the next thirty minutes I explain everything to the best of my ability. As I finish, I quickly ask my own question.

"So, that's everything. But my turn, I want to know your weapons' abilities before this upcoming battle. We may be able to use them in tandem and win with much more ease."

Lancelot looks to the others, getting a collective nod as a response. Lancelot clears his throat and points to each weapon.

"My sword, Arondight, does one thousand percent damage against dragons. Which, I thought they only appeared in dungeons, but it seems I was mistaken. I also picked up Modreds weapons, Clarent. Sadly, it blocks magic, I only kept it as a memento. I most likely won't use it during the battle."

He shifts his attention to Galahad.

"His shield is called Omen; it reflects five hundred percent of damage done to it back at the attacker. He also has Tristan's Emberscar, which creates unhealable wounds that burn similar to fire."

He points to Lamorak.

"Lamorak is still using his main sword, Vorcex, which halves the strength of whoever he hits. He also has Excalibur strapped to his back, but again, a memento. None of us are strong enough to use it properly."

Lastly, he looks to Lucan and Safir.

"Arguably the most dangerous members, Lucan and Safir are still using their own weapons. Lucan's rapier, Mirrah, switches his stats with whoever he pierces with it. Safir's daggers are named Vida and Thiss, both increasing his speed by one hundred times each. Safir is by far the fastest out of us."

I pause for a moment, putting my hand to my chin and thinking.

Safir's speed trumps mine by a healthy margin.

I quickly open my stats to double check.

Name: Dante Fenrix

Exp to Next Level: 312,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

I sigh.

Just as I thought, I haven't leveled up in a while. Nothing is even close to my level. But that's not important, I think I have an idea.

I nod, quickly snapping and pointing towards them.

"What if we gave Safir Lucan's sword? That way he could easily hit anything?"

Lucan shakes his head.

"Sorry, but you are mistaken. Mirrah doesn't have to touch a target, it has to pierce through its skin. It would be completely useless against this Grim guy from what we've been told."

His words give me pause, but I accept my error and continue thinking.

"I was really hoping that would work, but what if we baited Grim into attacking Galahad? Couldn't his shield cause him to destroy himself?"

Galahad also shakes his head.

"My shield has health, like you and I. If Grim is as strong as we've been told, it'll shatter before the damage is reflected."

I pinch the bridge of my nose and close my eyes.

"Ok-ok, what if we use Vorcex to half Grims strength? Surely Vorcex doesn't need to break skin for its magic to apply."

Lamorak thinks for a moment, then nods.

"I've never needed to break through armor to apply the debuff, but it only lasts for about a minute."

I sigh and nod.

"Guess it will have to work. Not much else we can do. Alright so we-"

I get cut off by a familiar female voice.

"And, what would you have of us and our weapons?"

I look over to see several familiar faces: Elith, Entren, Valera, Raskira, Kurosaxa, and Mariana.
