I guess I should keep getting stronger.
I think to myself, slowly starting to walk forward. A urge slowly creeps in, the overwhelming desire to become unbeatable. An unexplainable drive, almost as though I'm being pushed forward.
"That's right, I need to be strong enough that I'll never be defeated. Guess my plan now, is to get rid of all corruption in the entire world."
I hear Vex laugh behind me and quickly look back.
"Now, that is a lofty goal. But, looking back, I thought it was lofty to attempt to take down WolfPack."
He says with a cold smile. I nod and start to speak up, but hear forceful footsteps coming towards me. I look forward and see Alesti stop about 50 feet from me. His wolf is nowhere to be seen and he has his daggers drawn.
A drop of rain hits the top of my head and back of my hand.
"Rain?"
Vex mumbles beside me.
Alesti doesn't speak, but his skin peels back slightly as his clothes tear and rip. His ripped and scarred body seemingly glow with veins rising. No words are spoken, but his sadness and regret permeates the area.
He starts to open his mouth to speak, but quickly grits his teeth and lunges towards me. I easily deflect his attack and toss him aside.
"Alesti, I truly have no problem with you. But your corrupt guild couldn't be allowed to survive. I've seen you though, I know you don't kill innocents."
I say loudly as his eyes light up with rage.
"But you do."
His pants and shirt tear from the speed of his lunge, faster than even I can react to.

Over and over he strikes me, but I out heal his damage. Strike after strike, his desperation becomes readily apparent. I can't help but feel bad for how weak he is. I see a few tears rolling down his normally cold and lazy face. I grab his wrist suddenly and crush it.
Alesti falls back and grits his teeth. I sigh deeply.
"You can't beat me, and why are you even attacking me?"
I watch his face grimace in hatred and glare at me.
"You. You."
He seemingly can't compose himself, or his anger, enough to make a complete sentence.
"You can't preach about taking down the corrupt people taking innocent lives then do the exact same thing!"
He screams, fully drawn in by his emotions. The rest of my friends walk out of the base and stare at us.
"I don't condone the things my more idiotic guild mates did, but they only made up a small percent of the guild! I never thought."
He drops to his knees. Whether from pain, or emotional break down, is not apparent.
"I never thought you would go through with it. I thought you would find a way to resolve it peacefully with your overabundance of strength, but I was wrong."
Alesti stands up, his hand and wrist immediately healing to perfect condition. I look closely and see he's wearing 5 necklaces, 10 rings, 2 belts, 6 bracelets, and golden boots.
"Everything we've gathered from our dungeon dives. Everything they had put aside to support their families. Everything they used to keep this town safe. I will use all of our strength and gear, to take you down!"
He screams loudly and quickly activates several buffs. Before he starts to attack again, I speak up.
"They shouldn't have aligned themselves with murderers and villains."
Alesti looks to me coldly and readies his daggers again. They suddenly combust into black and white flames and he speaks softly.
"You think you're the hero? Nobody thinks you're the hero of this story."
He mumbles as a slash appears on my back.

I grit my teeth and start to activate my buffs, but get distracted by Alesti swinging his sword towards Blankk.
"[Teleport 1]"
I narrowly come between them and take both daggers to my stomach.

Our eyes lock and a flood of hatred overtakes me. I feel my blood boil from him attacking my friends. He speaks up.
"Now you understand a fraction of my pain."
He slashes out of my chest in 2 different directions, but I narrowly grab his left wrist.

Before I can throw the deciding punch, he cuts his own arm off and jumps away. Pouring rain sets in as his arm heals instantly and he glares up to me. Skin peels from his face, but he doesn't even acknowledge it.
"[Apex Hunter]."
Alesti mumbles as he seemingly vanishes, his eyes glowing red with bloodlust before also vanishing. A slicing sound behind me causes me to look back. I see Blankk laying on the ground, his head in 20 pieces and his blood mixing with the mud and rain.
I feel my heart hurt for a moment as rage fully takes over. Rationality seemingly disappears as I activate my buffs and put on my crown and ring.

"I don't care what happens to anyone else. Vex, get everyone you can out of here. You have 2 seconds before I let go."
In the blink of an eye, Vex teleports my friends, and Blankks body, away.
As I feel Alesti's blade start to cut my back, I draw HexCalibur and swing it with everything I have. I watch buildings as far as I can see get crushed and leveled. The shockwave stops the rain from falling for almost a second.
I feel my blood boiling as my muscles tear from each swing. I flail wildly, destroying everything in an attempt to kill Alesti.
"It's apparent I can't beat you, something desperately wants you to live. But I have injured you, more than anyone else ever could. You took everything from me, all I had worked for and everything I lived for."
Alesti appears in front of me. His left arm missing and a massive chunk missing from his stomach and chest.
"I expected you to be better, but you let me down. You let everyone down."
Alesti says calmly as he pulls back to attack me again, his eyes red with tears and not anger. With one swift strike to his ribs, I turn his body into an wide area of viscera and gore. Guts, bones, and blood explode outward and onto the muddy ground.
I stare at his remains for a moment. In one massive wave, I feel regret. Sadness and hopelessness take over me, but almost as fast as they appeared, those feeling disappear. I feel a singular tear roll down my cheek, but it blends with the rain.
I hold up my bloody hand and stare at it. The rain washes away the blood slowly and reveals the thorns leading up my arm.
Am I a monster? What's wrong with me?
