Chapter 15 - "Girl stuff"

"Here we are, " Ricky said as he opened the door for her.

"Thank you all for everything," she said.

She turned around and walked to her home. They drove back all smiles.

She told her mother everything that had happened and how they had treated her.

"That good to hear they are good people " her mother commented.

Vanita kept checking on Rimuel through text the whole day.

When she reported to school the next day he was already in his seat reading something. Vanita smiled as she walked to her seat.

"Morning Vani " he smiled.

"Morning " she replied.

The rest of the day went on smoothly as they had their classes.

Her school days turned into something she looked forward to. Essie was now so into Eric that they were inseparable.

Yvonne seemed to cool down but never failed to offend her once in a while.

Rimuel had turned out to be a good teacher since he taught her all the things she never understood.

" When do you guys plan to do it?" Essie asked her best friend.

Vanita had visited Essie for their sleepover.

"Do what?" She asked.

"Do act dump you know what am talking about " Essie said.

"We are taking everything slow and I think we are both not ready for that " She smiled.

"Hmmm, okay "

She and Rimuel had been dating for a while now but they only kissed and hugged. While her friend Essie had told her all about her and Eric. She had told her friend to try it but Vanita seemed shy to ask Rimuel.

They played games and talked all night as they enjoyed their time together.

Rimuel and his father had been in a meeting for a while now. Marcus had returned and he looked like he wanted to attack them anytime soon.

"All he wants is revenge," his father said.

"Why don't you just tell the authorities to handle it I don't wish for bloodshed right now " Rimuel complained.

"You and I both know that it's useless to tell the authorities in such situations. And Marcus is a lunatic who only wants me dead " Mr. Cullz said.

Marcus was getting impatient with the progress of his plan.

"I want to make sure everything is legalized so that I won't face problems in the future after I kill them all " he spat out.

"Boss, the lawyer refused to help us "

Marcus sneered, " Then it's time we made him accept," he said.

He wanted to do it in one sleek move so they won't see him coming.

Vanita woke up the next day and helped her friend make pancakes for breakfast.

They made each other's hair got dressed and left for school.

She thought about what Essie had fed in her mind the whole day at school. Rimuel noticed her absence in class and decided to ask.

"What's wrong did something happen at the sleepover?"

"No nothing happened " she smiled.

"Then why are you acting weird," he asked.

"No am not am just thinking about something," she said.

They decided to leave school together since they had decided to do their homework together.

"Hello angel " Cass walked to her with open arms.

"Cass " she smiled as she hugged him.

Cass knew that it upset Rimuel but he still did it. So after his hug, he would disappear immediately.

She said hi to the others and went upstairs to Rimuel 's room.

She placed her books on his desk and got her pen. He came up with snacks and took his seat next to her.

"Have some you look hungry" he passed them to her.

She opened one and waited for him to change.

Rimuel disappeared in his closet and returned changed.

She enjoyed her snacks as he solved the math questions. She joined him after her eating and they finished their homework.

"Are you staying for dinner?" he asked placing her books back in her bag.

"I can't leave now, whenever Cass sees me here. He cooks everything I like " Vanita smiled.

"He turned into your clown " Rimuel frowned.

Essie sent her a text but her phone was next to Rimuel.

He got her phone and passed it to her after he read what it said.

"What does she mean by did you guys do it?" Rimuel asked.

Vanita choked on her drink as she deleted the message.

"Nothing important just girls' stuff " she lied.

They soon went down for dinner and as she expected it was delicious.

"You always feed me more than my parents " she smiled.

Rimuel who never had a good appetite always ate when she stayed for dinner.

His uncles had made it a job of dropping her off after she visited.

He bought her bag down from his room and passed it to her.

She hugged him, " I love you " she whispered before she leaped off to his uncles.
