Chapter 11 - CH10 Visiting

Continuing Benji's POV:

I was in the alley behind Fabian's club within the matter of an instant. The teleportation had worked and I was free for the night like Vanitas had offered. I cracked a huge smile as I caught a back alley guard point a gun at me before easing up when he noticed it was me. He motioned with his hand for me to pass. I titled my head in a slight nod as if to provide my thanks. I entered through a back entrance and took to the hall to find his office quicker.

"Fabian?" I called out.

I pushed open the door to his office without hesitation. Fabian was standing in front of his desk this time with his back toward me. His red ears were folded backward. His kimono was the same from the last I saw of him. Which meant he still hasn't changed since then. On top of his desk was a more subtle light featured red haired female he was thrusting into. She leaned back with her hands resting behind her, her light moan turned into a gasp when she noticed she was being watched. Fabian's head turned to look back at me before he blushed from being caught. I couldn't see anything more from the kimono enclosing them.

"I didn't think he'd allow you to visit. I was beginning to think I would have to come find you," he said as he seemed to pull out of her and close his kimono around him. She hopped off the desk and pulled up her mini skirt. She grabbed the shirt off the ground to put on and rushed past me to leave. I could smell she was embarrassed. I shut the door behind her and locked it as I walked over to the couch and sat down on it.

"Dragons don't let their mates out of the nest, ever. Their mates never leave without permission," I told him as he walked over to me and forced me into a hug.

"You were able to leave him," he said happily. I suppose he thought I escaped from the dragon. I don't think I really wanted to leave though. Otherwise I would have got away. I could have easily broken out of those cuffs.  I could have done anything- but, I didn't. I truly am entertained being a dragon's mate. Even if I'm sharing him.

I shook my head.

"He let me come visit," I told him.

"But, you just said-"

"I know. He's unexpectantly lenient."

I felt Fabian lean back as he exposed my neck from where Vanitas' last bit me. He smelled my head suddenly before growling and sat down beside me on the couch. "He's marked you," he said quickly. "I will take that off you. Let me help you leave him," he begged as he looked worried for me. I shook my head quickly as my heart raced.

"No, I don't think that's possible now." I shook my head as I thought back to what Vanitas has given me so far. I'm there against my will, yes... But, he's a kind lover. He's a dragon- a powerful dragon. It's like hitting a gold mind being in his hoard and being his concubine. I could handle the girls. I can handle the orgies we will have. I don't think I could leave now if I wanted to. Not after being marked by him. The mark is too strong on me. Once a King marks his mate they'll never be another's mate again. Unless he dies.

"I wish I could help. I should have never let you leave with him," he whispered and sat back as he looked at me in horror.

"You know my obsession with the breed. This is really like a vacation. He'll die eventually. They all do," I told him and looked away. I couldn't face him now. My thoughts darkened as I thought back to my first lover. The one I recently dreamt about. His sweet scent was still fresh to my memories. But, with the new mark on my body made it a little foggy. Like something masked it. He was there at a distant, now.

"Someone will come along to challenge his position and he'll die," Fabian whispered as he understood. I was spell bound and locked to this new dragon. Vanitas would fill my desires as I fill his own. Though, dragons are notorious for being bottomless cups. Their greed knows no bounds. Dragon's live long lives- If they're not killed by their own kind. He will be around for awhile. "You'll be free of him then. Should I set that up?"

"I don't want to hear of those matters," I whispered low. My tongue would easily betray me. All Vanitas would have to do is ask when I'm back in his clutches. He'll never trust me to leave the hoard again if I plot his demise. "If I knew of it he could easily get that information out of me and kill me for it." Or worse, kill Fabian. I cannot loose my oldest friend. "Besides, it would be hard to find a match of equal or more power than him."

"You're right. If I were to plan something... It's best you don't know," he said as he brought me into his lap. I lowered my head down into his chest as I felt at peace. It was always good to be comforted by him. I found myself rubbing one of his ears. "I think about the day he took you every time the sun sets. I should have killed him right then and there and saved myself all the trouble." Fabian took out my braid suddenly and pulled off the glasses. He ran his fingers through my hair before looking at the door. "Are you hungry? I'll call you a meal to come in and feed you."

"No, I already ate today," I warned him. I don't need excess blood. It's not healthy to overeat. I kept a strict diet so I wouldn't tip the scales of sanity inside of me. He raised an eyebrow as I stared up at him.

"I'm surprised."

"Vanitas will take care of me," I assured. "Dragons keep their prizes healthy." He glared me down at my wording before sighing. He gave up fighting me on the subject, I could see it in his eyes as they lowered in expression. He was purely happy to see me again. His smile crossing his face. "I don't know when the next time we'll meet. I started the hatching process with the eggs. He won't let me leave as long as I have them to watch."

"You'll have to send me your address so I can come visit," he suggested.

"I'll find out," I promised him.

"What kind of dragon is he?" Fabian asked curiously. "You said it yourself he was powerful."

"King Vanitas Dracos is the Emerald King," I told him as I remembered what I was told. "There are three other concubines in his nest."

"Three others? Greedy bastard! I'm surprised he doesn't have more. He should just let you go!" I laughed as I heard him. He does know he just suggested that the greedy bastard- should let me go? What a joke. He laughed when I didn't say anything. "No- I suppose he won't let you go anytime soon." He looked sad suddenly. I knew he was hurt to have to let me leave soon. I did have to go back. I don't think I could fight my instincts to stay away from him. If I keep from him I will go into heat as his hormones he's placed in me will yearn for him. It's better I go back.

When I leave, Fabian won't stop until he figures out a way to separate me from Vanitas. Now that he knows exactly who he's fighting against. Though- it's entirely still up to him. He might leave me to sort this out on my own. Now that he knows he faces a king of dragon kind. He might back down from attempting to murder the beast.

"I don't want to spend our time together doing this. Let's do something fun," I suggested. I don't want to continue suspecting he'll do anything. It'll be hard to keep a lie around Vanitas later.

"Let's go to my place. We can snort coke and spend the night dancing. I haven't had a night off since that bastard came in here guns blazing. You can't imagine how much trouble I've had promising that was a rare occurrence. I lost new patrons because of that and now regulars are threatening now to come back."

"I'm sorry. I should have known better. I should have never came here that night."

"I think he would have showed up either way. He got lucky you were here."

"I don't have many friends."

"I'm your only friend."

I chuckled as the thought of that being true stung deep in my chest. I teleported us to his home that wasn't too far away. It was familiar since it was another place I spent many nights at. The home was already booming from an endless party.

The place what in one of the tallest buildings of the city. At the top floor in a pint house. It was a massive open floor plan with two floors. There was a staircase going up against the floor to ceiling windows. Where it went up to the open walkway leading into the private bedrooms. There was a huge living space with a platform going up to an area to sit against the windows. The place was decorated in black leathers and bright colors dancing along the walls. With motion censored walls that were lava-lamp themed. A light pop of music echoed over the echoes of voices as they scattered through the apartment. Strobe lights came from the upstairs. I knew the kitchen was on the main floor somewhere down the hall leading out of the living space. A privacy not many homes had in todays world.

Fabian's housemate was his younger brother, Aiden. Who acquired his name from a random generator. He had no pickiness for the new name he chose. Aiden had adjusted to the new world and wore more updated clothing. Though his fire-red hair was the only thing rooting him to his brother. He kept his fox features disguised as he walked around in a form of a human. Though the parties were more for the supernatural. He quite favored dressing himself up as a human.

"There they are!" Aiden shouted at us as he raised his arms above his head. He pushed his way through the crowd of people. He gave me a huge smile. "What's gotten into you? You look different." He wouldn't pick it up as fast either that I was mated or what I was mated to. He was slower than any nine tail I've ever met.

"He's gone and mated with a dragon," Fabian would say as he patted my shoulders. "He won't be around much now."

"A dragon?" Aiden would ask me and look amazed I bagged something so powerful as my mate. I nodded as I pushed past him.

"I won't talk about it. I just came here to catch a high and have some fun. I don't have much time before he wants me home." I walked over to a coffee table where a line of coke was being cut up for the party. I didn't recognize the drug dealer doing it. She was high already out of her fucking mind. I wanted that high. She divided up the lines and I was there first as I leaned into the one she offered. I covered half my nose and snorted the line.

A sensation rushed through my body as my sinuses burned like fire caught in it. I stepped back as I closed my eyes tightly. It hit in a matter of seconds. I fell down on the couch that was close by and stared up at the ceiling as it took me.
