Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Pushing Limits

Tessa looked into Aiden's eyes, falling deeper into the green oblivion they held. She couldn't look away, nor did she want to. As they sat there staring into each other eyes, their connection seemed to deepen even more than it already was.

Trying to break the spell Tessa attempted to speak "Aide-" she was immediately cut off as his lips found hers.

She wanted to pull away at first but soon she was consumed with the feeling of his lips on hers. Tessa has never even kissed a boy. Always focusing on school, or her family that any relationship she did have sat on the back burner and eventually fizzled. There was nothing stopping her now though.

As the thought of her family came into her head, that helped her to slowly break away from the kiss.

As she tried to control her breathing, she looked up as Aiden was doing the same.

"I'm sorry, that was too forward. I don't know what came over me. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" Aiden searched her eyes for any clue to what she was thinking.

Tessa smiled sweetly and looked into his eyes, "That was perfect. I'm sorry my head is just somewhere else right now."

Knowing exactly what she was referring to, Aiden internally Kicked himself. 'Why would you do that you dumbass? She just lost everything and here you are making googly eyes' He shook his the thought from his head and focused back on Tessa.

"Are you hungry? I can make something or we can order out. Or if you're tired we can take a nap. Or we can take Beau for a walk...." as Aiden continued to ramble on different tasks we could do that day, Tessa felt her heart warm just a little. 'He cares enough to actually want to do something me' she looked at this boy who has been nothing short of amazing the last few days, wondering if there will be a time that she has to move on and leave him behind; Or if this is something that could last forever.

Aiden waved a hand in her face, ripping her from her thoughts.

"Sorry, huh?" Tessa looked at Aiden feeling guilty for not listening.

"You know what don't worry about it," he smiled at her and continued, "you just let me know what youre feeling up for and that's what we'll do." Glancing at the clock is was nearing 5 o'clock and though she wasn't tired, all she wanted to do was rest and learn more about Aiden.

They decided to order chinese take out and spent the rest of the night laying in bed, eating and laughing like they had known each other their whole lives.

Soon they were getting ready for bed. Once everything was settled and they lay in bed watching tv, Aiden turned to Tessa and looked at her for a moment before speaking.

"I know we don't really know each other and all but I just want you to know that nothing happens unless you say it does. Not that you want anything to happen, but if you would it would only be with your permission" Aiden's face became a few shades redder as he fumbled on his words. Tessa was so taken back by his candor, that the only response she could give was a sleepy smile as she lightly kissed him on the lips and drifted off to sleep.
