~ Third Person's Point of View ~
– At Princess Alice's Hideaway –
In a quick gesture, Cartlon walked closer to the princess with a discomfort.
He too walked closer to Billy and get his sword from his small hands. "You can leave us now, Billy. A swords fight is not good for you since you are still a lesser."
Alice raised her eyebrows upon hearing Cartlon's words. She then said, "Do not go anywhere, Billy. Stay back and watch us fight; watch until I beat him."
Billy looked at them as Alice and Cartlon glared at each other. Something like he feels that there is a feud between the two of them.
Billy said, "It seems like you despise each other by scowling sharply. I am must obey the Princess order." He paused and bowed his head.
He then turned his gaze at him and said an apologetic tone. "This time, I will not follow your order swordsman. I will stay back and watch your fight with Princess Alice."
Cartlon said, "It seems like Billy is at your side, your majesty. Hence, we will find out who is the victor among of us."
Billy walked at the right part of the vacant lot. Standing there is a perfect spot to witness everything.
Likewise, Princess Alice and Cartlon walked into the battlefield. Before the combat began, Alice get the cold and relaxing cup of tea and swallowed everything that remains.
Afterwards, she put it back on the log and faced Cartlon.
Alice bent her knees and grip the hilt of her sword tightly. She watches Cartlon who's still steady and calm with his position.
Looking at him this way makes the princess more eager to defeat Cartlon.
Alice gave him an abrupt laugh and said, "Let's have a deal, Cartlon. If you would beat me right now, I shall grant one of your wishes. Do you concede with it?
The swordsman burst into a loud laugh. Finally, he began to grip his swordswords as much as the princess do.
An abrupt agreement? It's out of the world but Cartlon found it more intense and interesting. "You will grant anything? Are you certain with your words, your majesty?"
He looked down at the ground while still chuckling. Cartlon can't believe that Alice is making an absurd treaty with him. Well, it is more convenient on his side than the princess.
Alice smiled whimsically and replied, "I have one word. Now, if you lose this combat you will grant my wish as much I do."
Cartlon replied, "It's my pleasure to make your wishes come true, Alice. Hence, before we proceed, can you let out what your wish is?"
He smiled at her sweetly but deep inside, Cartlon have already a vision that Alice knows everything that he lied to her about the book of prophecy.
Although Alice felt that Cartlon is hiding things from her, she didn't want to tell it directly as what she planned.
She wants Cartlon to be a loyal not a liar servant; an ally.
Alice said, "You know who I am since I was young, until now. Yet, I am not sure if I know the real you, Cartlon. In other words, prove to me that you are not a prevaricator!"
Cartlon swallowed his saliva; his ego and proud. "Let us commence, your majesty! I am certain and confident that I will be the defeater."
Without indication, the princess swipes her weapon targeting to cut his gut. "Such a good-looking pretender." Alice said.
Cartlon stepped backward and was trying to block her attacks.
He then said, "Your eagerness will lead you into mislay, Alice. Focus, or you will be lose." Cartlon began to move his weapon but Alice has no plan to withdraw.
On the right side, Billy was watching them carefully. As he awaits the winner among Alice and Cartlon.
"Go, Princess Alice! Beat, swordsman! Triumph over the warrior of Alicesha!" Billy exclaimed.
Billy helped Alice to be motivated and to throw dreadful attack towards Cartlon.
She turned around with him and twirls the sword when Alice stopped at his back.
No doubt, the princess learned not just the basic but other effective techniques during swords fight. Now, she's leading the combat.
"Yah!" Both of them moaned as none of them want to be a loser.
Swords was bouncing off as they blocked each other invasion.
Cartlon started up to take the fight seriously upon getting a small cut at his right leg.
Cartlon stared at his bleeding leg and said in a deep voice. "You have got me one. But, you will never make it two, Alice!"
He stepped backward that makes Alice caught off her balance. She was stumbled of her own careless strategy but enable to stand again.
"You shall not hurt the Princess of Alicesha! The daughter of King Sulliman and Queen Marie!"
Alice lifted up the sword as she jumped out to cut his vulnerable neck. "Yah!" She screamed.
Unfortunately, Cartlon was be able to escape and protect himself from getting killed. He was indeed amused and shocked by Alice's techniques.
He looked at her rare lilac eyes and said in an insulting tone. "You should have ask me to teach it that technique before enacting it now, Alice."
Alice pushed him as he is trying to hinder her attack by his sword and by all of his strength. "Aye!" She shouted.
Alice is getting out of control, even Cartlon is striving to cope up with another blow.
Cartlon was wavering of he could bear to hurt the princess or not. However, she's the one who persuaded a combat; he is just obeying the princess.
In an extraordinary strategy, Cartlon let her pushed him as hard as he is. Fortunately that there were no things that would hurt Cartlon.
He then escaped and walked to his right side and was breathing deeply. Cartlon never waited for any signal, he quickly swipes his sword that makes Alice right arm bleed.
The princess halted from making any movement upon realizing that her arm was bleeding. The cloth that wrapping her arm were being cut too.
Alice stepped back and replied. "Alas! You have slice my arm without permission, Cartlon. It's my turn to capture your weakness!" She screamed at him.
She then walked closer to Cartlon was throwing him a quick and hard to elude strikes. She added in a desperate and frantic tone. "Come closer to me!"
By then, out of Cartlon's knowledge. Alice let him fall into a trapped when she give Cartlon a chance to slice her leg and elbowed his back.
He was stumbled upon acknowledging the pain at his back. "And now, you are using your elbow to break my vertebra! You are too impulsive, Alice."
Cartlon fall into the ground when he tried to stand up. It must be too painful and unbearable. "Stop the combat or shall we continue, Cartlon? I am concerned with your condition because right now, it seems like you cannot fight against me anymore."
The swordsman was kneeling down and facing at the ground with the sword at his grip. He burst into laughter and replied, "Alas! Thus, you can win against me."
Cartlon earned his remaining strength to stand and be able to attack Alice.
Can he certainly hurt Alice for her to grant her pledge? Or, he will let the princess hurt him to prove that she's thinking the other way around.
To be continued...
