"Elaine and I... won't be together?"
"Mm." Aranea answered with a nod. "You told me back in the current time that you and Elaine didn't workout because of the differences and because she had given up on you. She is also with another man of the same element."
Aranea's words were like alcohol that was poured on to his fresh wound, stinging him. As Beau's lips turned into a straight, tight line, his eyes showed forlorn, indicating that the news that he heard had indeed affected him.
Because of this, Aranea wanted to fully explain their situation so that her Familiar won't misunderstand.
"Don't get me wrong!" Aranea spoke again. "You and Elaine became a couple, too, just like you told me in the real world. You were both happy and you kept your relationship a secret."
Somehow, hearing this, lit up Beau's mood.
