"Aranea… if you want someone to talk to, I'm—"
With Aranea immediately embracing Leonel as she cried silently on his shoulder, the action interrupted the Water Familiar, what she said making his heart race in his chest.
"Stay with me until I could fall asleep… please… I'm scared…"
Leonel was still surprised with Aranea embracing him out of the blue! With his heart racing and at the same time aching to see Aranea this sad, he couldn't help but return her embrace reluctantly, softly patting her back for comfort.
"There, there," was all he could manage to say. "I'm here."
With what he said making Aranea laugh, she broke away from the embrace as she embarrassingly wiped her tears away with the back of her hand, the sniffing sound something that she is avoiding.
"I'm sorry… I can't help but laugh. It's obvious that you're doing your best to comfort me. It's cute."
