"I've gotta hand it to ya, Christa, you manage to find a job within the first week of searching. That's pretty impressive if I do say so myself." Jaiden exclaimed with a smile.
"Oh geez you really need to calm down," muttered Christa, "it's literally a job in a coffee shop!"
"The best coffee shop in town!" giggled Jaiden, "I mean who wouldn't wanna work at a place called 'I Don't Give a Frappe'?"
"I wouldn't."
"Well that's just cuz you're a party pooper." Responded Jaiden with a pout.
"No, it's because it's so popular that I don't wanna work there."
"I get that you're introverted and all, but it'd be good for you to actually talk to people other than myself."
"Hey," snapped Christa playfully, "I talk to other people!"
"Oh really? Who?"
"It's a secret." Whispered Christa.
"Sure it is." Replied a very skeptical Jaiden, having heard what she said, "Well I better head out, you have an early start tomorrow at your new job." He got up and saw himself out of the room.
"See ya man!" Yelled Christa from the confines of her room.
"Later!" She heard him respond.
"You guys have got to stop being so loud this late at night." Came a voice from her doorway.
"I'm sorry, Mom. Good thing you won't have to deal with this once I find a good place to stay." Said Christa calmly.
"Aww," began her mother, "I will miss it, just you wait. I'm going to end up calling you for visits."
"Sure you will. I'm still looking for someone who is looking for a roommate though."
"I'm sure you'll find one soon. Oh you know what'll be a good idea?"
"Here we go." Christa rolled her eyes.
"At that place where you're going to start your work, um, you know the coffee place down by-"
"I Don't Give a Frappe." Interrupted Christa.
"Oh yes that place. They have a small bulletin board that most everyone checks, and you could probably put up a notice of your search for a roomie."
"Yes why don't I put up all my personal info where anyone can see." Sighed Christa, visibly disinterested.
"It was just an idea." Said her mother with a slight frown, "I'm going to head off to bed so don't stay up late!"
"Goodnight, Mom."
She didn't want to admit it, but she thought her mother's idea was quite a good one. She decided that she would design a simple flyer with her phone number and post it on the board the next day before work. After she finished it up, she got some pjs on and headed to bed. She couldn't wait to see how many replies she would get. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
