Beth•••
Seth kept staring at me. I could see Carter beside him also staring. As soon as the principal was done talking and gave the sign I quickly led Lance and his group out.
"Princess its almost time for the first period" Lance whined immediately we left the basketball court.
Ignoring him I faced the group I was charged with. "Good morning everyone. My name is Lisbeth. And we only have a few minutes till the first class starts and I don't want you to be late on your first day. So we'll do this. Form groups according to the first period you have" they checked their time tables and formed four groups. "Cool. Now what do you guys have?" I pointed to the group in front of me.
"Uh... hi Lisbeth" one of the basketball players said.
"Quit hitting on her and tell her what you have already, we don't have all day" Lance said and rolled his eyes.
I smiled at the guy who spoke and asked what his group was having. "Maths"
"Kay, what about you guys?" I pointed to another group.
After asking I found out that they were having either maths, AP lit, Chemistry or history.
"OK chemistry class is the closest so we'll head there first" I took them to the chemistry class. Then I led the second group to AP lit. Maths was the next. The guy who had spoken earlier had a tint of pink on his cheeks when he said "thank you"
I just smiled in response and the blush darkened. "I didn't get your name" I told him.
"Eddy, I mean Edward Terrance"
"I'll just call you Eddy"
He lingered in front of the maths class until Lance spoke: "okay enough flirting, Shitward. Get to class"
Shitward—I mean... Edward disappeared into his class.
"There was no need to be rude,Lancealot"
"Its Lance, princess"
"Its Lance princess" I mimicked him.
"Okay" I said to the remaining people "history class is upstairs, the last class in the corridor. We have to run if we don't want to be late" they started murmuring. "Last one has to buy me lunch"
I didn't think that would be effective but all of them sprinted off. All except Lance of course.
"Being the top student and all shouldn't you be running as well" he pried.
"I know a short cut"
"Okay let's go"
I led him to a short cut I found a year ago. As I expected we got there before the rest. The last to enter was a weak looking fella. His eyes bulged when he realized that he was the last.
"Don't worry, you don't have to buy me lunch unless you want to"
He shook his head slightly and I laughed. "okay let's find you a chair"
I found him a chair in the second row. There were four seats left in the back so I took one at the back. Lance sat his narrow behind in front of me. Not that I was paying attention to his...*ahem* behind.
"...this is your class" I heard Becca's voice and I looked up to see her leading garlic girl in.
Oh boy.
She didn't seem too happy that Becca was in charge but she said nothing.
"You're welcome" Becca said when the girl entered the class and didn't thank her.
Garlic girl strode to the seat beside Lance and offered him a sultry smile before sitting down. He didn't spare her another glance and focused on me. The girl turned to see what caught his attention.
Her eyes widened when she saw me. She scoffed, "we meet again"
I waved my hand in front of my nose. "Whoof did someone forget to bring her mints?"
The girl stood up. "You—"
"You better seat your ass down goldilocks" Becca said from the door. "We don't want an accident to happen now do we?"
"I hate you guys" the girl spat out.
"Ditto" me and Becca said at the same time and smiled at each other.
She sat down and Becca waved at me then left.
Lance turned with a stupid smile on his face. "I didn't know you came in a buy one get one free package"
I sighed then leaned forward and flicked his forehead.
"Ow princess" he rubbed the place I flicked which was turning pink. "What did you guys do to Doris?" he nodded to garlic girl without breaking eye contact.
"She has a name?. I always called her garlic girl"
Doris bristled in her seat but made no move. Everyone's eyes were on us. "garlic girl?" Lance asked.
"Long story, princess" I said with a smile.
"Hey" I heard beside me.
Seth.
I greeted him back. "Hi"
Lance folded his arms and relaxed into his chair. "well if it isn't the boyfriend"
Seth looked at me confusion written boldly on his face.
I slapped my forehead. "What did I tell you?" I glanced at Houston.
"No need to be rude" he mimicked me.
"I don't sound like that"
"Of course you don't"
"You—"
The door swung open and the teacher entered. "Good morning boys and girls"
"Good morning Mr Kristofferson"
Yeah long name I know.He started teaching but I wasn't interested so I looked at Seth. It is now that I'm noticing how good he looks. Was this get up for me? I smiled to myself.
He turned and caught me staring. Then he winked sending sparks all over me. My grin grew wider. I'm sure I look like a Cheshire cat.
SLAM.
I jumped in my seat and looked at the book that Lance had dropped on the floor because I knew it was intentional.
"What was that?" Mr Kristofferson asked looking expectantly at me, his star pupil for an explanation.
I swallowed.
"Sorry sir this book slipped from my hand when I was passing it to Lisbeth" Lance said with a sheepish smile.
Me? Passing the book to me? What do I have to do with this? I felt tears gather in my eyes and I prayed for a distraction, anything to get me out of this.
"Miss Millers is this true?" everyone's eyes was on me. And guess what was passing through my mind.
🎶all eyes on me...🎶
*cough* "Beth?" Seth touched my hand jerking me back to reality.
I looked at Lance. If I said yes I'd be lying. If I said no he'd get into trouble.
Taking a deep breath I nodded slowly at the teacher. "Yes sir it was an accident"
"OK then" Mr Kristofferson nodded and continued teaching.
Lance turned to me. "The board's this way princess stop looking at hair gel" he whispered but from the sudden decrease in temperature I knew Seth heard.
To prevent the issue from expanding I nodded bit the moment Lance faced the board I winked at Seth.
SLAP
Everyone turned to me and I returned their confused looks with a more confused look. "What was that sound?" I asked Lance appearing innocent to the others.
"Nothing" he said through gritted teeth.
