"Haha!" "Everyone fat lin is finally here!" The words ring in my head as I sleep.I jolt up and look at the clock,it's 5:30 in the morning.
As much as I hate waking up early,I just couldn't go to sleep.When I was younger I was known as "Fat Lin" by everyone I knew and didn't have many friends in highschool because of that,but i am now 18 and off the college with a new me,no more fat lin now.
As much as I pretty much hated my childhood,some of it I guess wasn't all so bad.I now or am going to sign up for homework help for younger kids at my campus library,and even one of the jobs is story telling for the alot younger kids which I am especially excited for.I spend hours upon hours writing novels for my blog which i'm anonymous on.
Writing was basically all I had in my childhood.My parents expected me to become a doctor or lawyer or some job that has a high salary,but when it became the time to tell them about my hobby and how I want to pursue it.
They looked at me with a disappointed look up.You know all parents have a soft side for their kids so they accepted.
By the time I finally fell back to sleep my 6:30 alarm rang and I shot up ready for my first day of college.I got ready, packed up everything i had into the moving truck and sent it off to the campus for my dorm.I said goodbye to my parent,and i was off to be a college student.
I arrived at the college and the star struck,because it looked a lot bigger than I had remembered.I was so excited that I even ran and bumped into another student."Sorry" i say "next time look where you're going please" I didn't even get a glanes of the guy i bumped into,he was just gone.I didn't think much of it and carried on to my dorm where i set all of my belongings up.
I was trying to find the girls dorm and couldn't find it.The map at the front of the campus did not really help me at all.So i finally asked someone,but i couldn't find a girl so i had to ask a guy."excuse me,i'm sorry to bothers you,but do you know where the girls dorm is?" the guy looked at me with a cold look and let out a sigh"go past the library and take a left and you will see it" "thank you" i say.And that's when i realize that i need to go sign up for my job at the library."Excuse my miss,but do you happen to know where i can sign up of the homework help job?" "oh yes,you can drop off your resume here and we will give you a call once we review it and will let you know if you got the job" "ok thank you" i say and walk off.I walk to the same direction where the guy told me and finally found the dorm.
I get to my dorm door and walk in with a feeling of an unfriendly environment surrounding me.On my roommate's side it was just darker,not like black on black but just very dark colors,but I didn't let that stop me from introducing myself to my roommate. "Hi,I'm Lin your new roommate" I said happily "um...Hi, I'm Jessica." She didn't sound very friendly so I just left her alone for the rest of the day.I set all of my stuff on my desk,set up my bed with floral print on them and hung pictures and random stickers I found laying around my house on the walls.
By the end of the day i was so exhausted,and very hungry.I try to get myself to ask jessica if she wanted to go eat with me,but she was busy doing something so i ate myself and brought some food for her to eat.I sit at my desk and start brainstorming some ideas for my novel,and i get a call "hello?Is this Lin speaking?" "yes this is Lin speaking" "we would just like to inform you that we looked over your resume and it was very interesting,you can start working tomorrow is you can,and you will also work alongside someone named Eric" "ok,and may i ask what eric looks like so i can i guess get to know him" "oh he is very tall,black hair,very smart, he's a good-looking one,and extreme kind. I wonder how that's going to help me find him,but i just go along with it."thank you for the information,i'll get to work tomorrow" and then i hang up.This was going to be my first actual jobs,so i start preparing what i was going to say and what i was going to do.
"hey could you keep it down please" "sorry i just excited" "what are you excited for?.we have class tomorrow" "oh its nothing its just i got a job at the library" "that sounds fun" jessica said sarcastically.I turn to look at her and her face is just stuffed into her phone "hey jessica maybe we could hangout sometime.You seem to have your phone in your face all day" she ignores me,so i just walk over to see what she was looking at,it was my novel the one i wrote on my blog "The detectives wife" its my most popular novel" "that's one interesting novel your reading" "yeah... you heard of it?" "Of course it's just the novel that I wrote" I look at her and then walk back to my bed."there's no way you could have written this novel" "wanna see?" I pull out my laptop and show her the document I have of the story."are you sure you're this cool?" "why wouldn't i be" i say while flipping my hair.She breaks out into laughter "ok,sure"
"so it seems that we have one thing in common,that's a start" "where are you going with this" "i just want a sisterhood relationship with my roommate" "i bet by the end of the year we won't be that close" "why is that" i question her "we are just completely opposites and just have that novel this in common" "also your really talkative,just saying" "wow that kinda hurt,but just let me tell you i was the laughing stalk in highschool and was not very talkative" "yeah me to kids in my highschools did the same" " i can't believe i telling you this after i have know your for one day,but my mom cheated on my dad with a much older and richers guy,and rumor spread throughout my school" "oh that must have been bad" i say "it wasn't i guess all that bad,but i put that way back in my brain" we spend most of the night getting to know each other,and i even told her about my past as well.
