Han Seoyeon looked at him, her eyes stayed clear toward his eyes. It wasn't what she was asking actually, she had questioned the word as she knew that Jung Hwa had just lost his sight and was worried. But now that he had spoken of his situation, she steeled her nerves to ask, "Do you need to drink blood?"
The question came to be unexpected to Jung Hwa. He looked at her, his grin finding its way up again to the other corner of his lips as he said, "If I do, would you give me?"
The situation where they were was tense. She didn't know whether it was because of the situation or if it was because of the gaze that he had to her which felt cold yet feverish at the same time.
"I would." she said, her voice vibrating with her determination.
He had planned to taunt her. To let her know not to say such a delicious word carelessly off her lips but Han Seoyeon who had made up her mind didn't back down.
Jung Hwa reaches out his hand and Han Seoyeon closed her eyes. She felt the sensation of his hand touched her cheeks and not her neck to see that he was smiling. "Don't provoke me, Seoyeon. You shouldn't say that now when I really need blood."
"But I'm not-" she felt his finger brushing her lips, pushing the side of her skin to move around the seam of her lips to stop her from talking, Jung Hwa pressed her lips with his finger.
"Don't continue." he warned, "I know that you feel guilty for me loosing my blood but you should say no when I ask for your blood. Else you will feel pain around here," his finger which stopped at her lips slowly slide down to her neck. She shuddered the touch of his finger had turned cold which made her feel as if a cube of ice had slide down to her neck.
Han Seoyeon frown, "You were the one who had asked me." she protested.
"Yes I did but you should have say no," his words made her confused. "If it was another person other than me, helping you then he needed blood what would you do, Seoyeon? Give them a taste of your blood and suck your blood dry?"
She felt offended by his word, with the way he put it, her question sounded like she was a foolish person. Han Seoyeon didn't know what to say toward him. There was a part of him which was serious but then at the same time came the part of him that seemed as if he was joking. He sometimes made her feel as if he had pulled her closer but then he give her a distance again. Han Seoyeon felt heart felt a squeeze and pursed her lips.
Her frown tightened, "I offered because I know you are not a vampire who would drink me until my blood turn dry. Or was I wrong?"
Jung Hwa saw the challenge she put on her question. Pulling a smirk he reply in mirth, "Is that so?" he chuckled, "So it was because that it is me, Seoyeon?"
Han Seoyeon blinked, her lips which she had pursed finally open for her to murmur, "Yes."
Jung Hwa chuckled, his smile was pulled further until he stated, "We should go now. I see presence but it's not moving so I doubt it's a witch," he turned his eyes laying his stress to his words more clearly, "it could be your friend."
She was worried of Wan Seulgi but so was she concerned of his health. Looking at his eyes, she asked, "What about your eyes? Can you see?"
"I don't think it is permanent." he replied casually without an emotion as if he wouldn't be affected even if he loss his sight. "Stay on my back and don't use the potions again. If the associates knew you used the potions you could be frame as a witch and you wouldn't want that." he said but then pulling a smile he rubbed the blood which splattered from his hand to her chin. "But thank you, for helping me there."
As they resume their walk to enter the building after defeating the witchess Hyena, she walked behind him, following each of his steps close. Jung Hwa continued his path toward the room where he could hear heartbeat from.
Looking around, she saw the place looked better than how it looked outside. The place was seemed to be clean but it didn't the age of the building that seemed to have passed a decade. She entered deeper and when Jung Hwa took a right turn, she followed to the path which goes straight to find there was a single room closed tight. Unlike all the other door which was old, the door of the room seemed to be made new.
Pushing the knob down, Jung Hwa tried to force open the door with the knob but then notice that it could t be open and kicked the door once again. Looking at the door as they entered, Han Seoyeon wondered whether he had practice kicking door often as he seemed to be very skillful in the matter.
When Jung Hwa had lit up the fire, his eyesight which was hazy slowly fused and the focus cane back. With a grin to his face he whispered, "Seems like my sight has return." Han Seoyeon on his right side saw of how his eyes which was black turned into bright red in color once again.
"That's great." Han Seoyeon exhaled a relieved breath. When she had heard of his words that there was a possibility it could be permanent her heart felt uneasy. Han Seoyeon looked around the place finding the place was filled with books and potions in different colors at one corner and another path on the left side of the door.
"I'll go there," she said leaving in a hurry to find Wan Seulgi all around the place. Her eyes darted around toward the cells and she saw how there were a few human bones placed in each cell that made her anxiousness eating her heart. As she dashed close until she had almost reached toward the end of the corridor, she still hadn't find Wan Seulgi.
Her heart was flipping in her chest, she became more anxious as she passed the last cell and turned to her left side first finding nothing to turn her face toward her right and see her friend laying on the ground with both her wrists and ankles bound with shackles.
"Seulgi!" she called in panic when she saw her friend's eyes were shut and her face was pale that paper wouldn't compare to her complexions.
