The windy dusk felt colder in Winter, but tonight it felt colder for Han Seoyeon as she had just saw and heard something almost impossible. She felt that she was dreaming but she knew better than anyone that right now she's wide awake. Having nothing to talk in between their walk, Han Seoyeon used her time to form her chaotic mind. Vampire, beings of the night that drinks human blood. All this time, she had never seen a real vampire but her evidence was almost enough.
That time when she couldn't break free from his grip on her wrist, she understood that their difference in power wasn't due to his strong muscle but because he was a supernatural being.
In her thoughts, abruptly Han Seoyeon's steps stopped. If someone knows he is a vampire, wouldn't he would use any way possible to hide his real identity? Perhaps something like killing her now?
Then, inviting him to her apartment was a wrong choice isn't it?
"So this is your house." Jung Hwa's voice made Han Seoyeon to jolt from her place. She looked at him and gulped.
Just what kind of luck she has? First the blind date opponent that she rejected was her boss and now, her boss is a vampire!
Jung Hwa saw the different expressions that she made and had himself hardly pursed his lips to not laugh at her behavior that he saw as adorable. "Which floor do you live in? The second?"
"Uh?" Han Seoyeon balled her hand. What's done is done! She could only bet to the kindness she believed Jung Hwa had. "Yes."
The two ascended the staircase, stopping at the second floor for Han Seoyeon to unlock her room and pushed down the knob. Turning all the lights possible in her living room, she led the man in.
Turning, she saw Jung Hwa standing tall in her room and looked somewhat unsuitable to her room. He didn't waited for her to offer him a seat and did walk to find his own place to eat on. Crossing his leg, he stared at her back and smiled. Han Seoyeon didn't noticed that she had been staring at him and avoided his eyes in reflex.
Calm down, what should I do now? Han Seoyeon inquired herself. Her almost hundreds of past works experiences work very excellent to her as she was able to calm her thoughts first.
"What do you want to drink, CEO Jung?" She asked but then noticed how stupid she was for asking what a vampire would like to drink in her house.
"Pfft-" Jung Hwa couldn't handle his laugh and covered his mouth with a childish laughter. "You don't have to be on edge, Secretary Han. Take a seat." He offered as though he was the owner of the house. But she wasn't in the position to ask, when he told her to sit, she did took one across him.
"Are you really a Vampire?" She inquired for him to nod. "Do you not believe me?"
"It's just too impossible." Han Seoyeon rubbed her temple and flick her fingernails.
Jung Hwa hummed. True, to humans the vampires of supernaturals that lived in tales and novels. For them to suddenly appear, it would be surprising. "Look at your wrist then."
Han Seoyeon lifted a brows vaguely and folded her sleeve again to see that the previous cut wound that scarred her wrist on the fight with the head manager had disappeared magically. Her eyes widened, she turned her hand, rubbing her eyes but the wound really disappeared or perhaps healed? There wasn't a single scar that her wrist was wounded. It must have healed that time when he licked her wound
"It's our a ability you see. I guess humans know this too? They had it on their books." He spoke lazily seeming uninterested as if he was talking of other's matter.
"So what are you going to do now?" Finally swallowing the reality against her eyes. Han Seoyeon asked, dropping her formality with an alarmed tone.
Jung Hwa smiled devilishly. "Do you mean, am I going to dispose you?" His sharp ears pick up the sound of her calm heartbeat slowly giving a discord on its beats. He stared at her, studying Han Seoyeon gulping. The palm over her skirt tightened. "Of course I wouldn't do that. You read too much novels, Secretary Han."
Han Seoyeon glanced up at him. From his tone, he sounded very carefree, seemingly doesn't care that Han Seoyeon had found out his identity as a vampire. Of course Jung Hwa knew what she was thinking. Bringing his head forward, he turned his eyes to a red color. "Vampires you see, almost all of use mingles with humans very well that you could never perceive the, by eyes. They have powerful body. But what else do you think makes them stronger?"
He gave a judging question. Now their position almost like a predator and a prey. "I don't know." She replied.
"As I said earlier, we are everywhere. We have power in human's society much more than you could ever think. Politics, economies, press, and police. We are strong yet humans doesn't notice us, so you must understand how powerful we are right?"
Of course, there had never been once when Han Seoyeon ever heard that vampires are real. If they could do what they like outside by impersonating human's lifestyle no one would ever know they're different from others with their appearance. However, if like earlier Han Seoyeon noticed he's a vampire by accident, he must have other choices to quiet her down with the help of the rest of the vampires on their society.
"Rumors are a problem of course especially in my office. But I don't have to worry about you spilling something out." His red gaze peered down to her, looking as bright as a red moon of blood. "You won't, right?"
Han Seoyeon gulped and shook her head firmly. Now she doesn't have to think about her work anymore as she must be fired now, won't she?
"Perfect, tomorrow come to the office earlier. Although I am vampire, I don't have any weakness. Be careful with blood especially because out of conditional reflex, my eyes color could return back to red. Human's meal are eatable for me, however, I don't often eat them."
"Wait." Han Seoyeon halted when she heard him speaking fluently. "Are you keeping me in the position to keep an eye on me?" Like a rabbit and a lion?
