Six days had passed after Han Seoyeon's first day and although her job was still a lot more involved at her desk, Han Seoyeon had gotten a grip over her work as Jung Hwa's Secretary. Jung Hwa to note until this day still doesn't seem to realize who she was. She praised her best friend, Wan Seulgi for her impregnable makeup skill. On the other hand, after their last meeting, Jung Hwa didn't send any single message, making her to feel relieved that he had lost interest in her.
After brewing the red tea that now had become her daily job, Han Seoyeon placed the Japanese sweets on a small black plate to bring it toward the CEO's office. Placing the teacup and the sweets beside him, she spoke. "It's time for your break, CEO Jung."
"Is that so?" He looked at his watch and muttered. "Time flies fast when you work."
"That's true." Han Seoyeon rested her business smile. "I will be going now, CEO Jung. Please call me if you need anything."
"Wait, for a moment Secretary Han. I have something to discuss with you."
Discuss? Han Seoyeon lofted a brow and stepped back toward him, sparking formally. "Please tell me what to help you with, CEO Jung."
"There's an opening of an aquarium under our cooperation. It's designated for women in their 20s, couples, and family. As your age is around the target of marketing, I want to hear your opinion directly."
"Oh." Han Seoyeon gave her agreement with a nod. "May I see the pamphlet first?"
"Here." He gave for her to read.
Aquarium was an amusement place that's nothing too new and that was what Han Seoyeon thought at first. She thought that there would be nothing new from the new aquarium yet her thought was changed again when she read the pamphlet.
It was an aquarium with a beautiful vision and adaptable theme for couples, friends, and family. Not to mention, the structure and design in the core of the aquarium left a big impression on her even though it was her first time seeing it in a small pamphlet.
"So, what do you think?" Jung Hwa waited for her answer and looked up to see Han Seoyeon replying with a different smile than the one she usually uses, it was a smile of gentleness and warmth. "The aquarium is very beautiful and splendid, CEO. It's a good place for one to make an unerasable memory. For family, friends, and even a single person, coming here would give them time to relax and forget the problems they have to enjoy their good time inside the aquarium. Also, the aquarium has many exciting attractions that wouldn't bore anyone."
"What do you think about couples?" Han Seoyeon stared back at his deep black eyes. Jung Hwa repeated. "What do you think if couples come here? Would they be able to make good memories too?"
Han Seoyeon placed down the pamphlet, crossing her hand on her waist. "Yes. It's a place that almost seemed as there are only you in the world, it's a perfect place for a date spot. Whoever created the aquarium is a very amazing person, it's the best aquarium I've ever seen."
Jung Hwa smiled happily. "It's me."
"Sorry?" She asked.
"I was the one who created the aquarium, the idea of course because I'm not an architect." He stared back at her eyes. "Thank you for the praise."
Closing off the door, Han Seoyeon stood still in front of his door. Her expression showed a little baffled before she broke into a laugh. What a strange person, Han Seoyeon praised.
That late noon when Han Seoyeon finished scheduling the appointments for Jung Hwa, she saw Lee Sun-hee, or Lee Sunny meet her in the hallway. Seeing her, Lee Sunny smiled. "Secretary Han is about your welcoming party, we decided to hold it at HanBam barbecue shop." She cupped her hand gesturing for a drink and danced her brows. "With some soju and somek."
"Yes, thank you for the invitation." Han Seoyeon replied. After these three days, Lee Sunny has gotten closer to her, unlike her fierce features, Han Seoyeon found her to be quite a cheerful person.
"But I'm worried." Lee Sunny sighed.
"Worried?" Han Seoyeon asked and saw the women nodding before turning down her chin for a whisper. "I don't think you heard it yet Secretary Han but I heard that the CEO had just taken a girlfriend. I'm worried that now his beauty could only shine for a specific person!"
Han Seoyeon had her eyes widened, "Girlfriend?" For a man who stayed in the office for almost twenty four hours with an additional works such as meetings and party, he sure has a free time to court a woman. But wait, if he has a girlfriend now, then doesn't mean that he asked her out while he's in a relationship? She felt an itch directed somewhere in her heart.
She shook her head, composing her thoughts again. Jung Hwa maybe a sarcastic and narcissistic person but she doubts him as a person who would cheat at someone especially since she knew that he's a man of his own words. "I don't think that's true, Ms. Lee."
"Shush!" Suddenly Lee Sunny rose her tone. "Act like you didn't hear this from me alright! I received this from a very trustworthy person!"
Seeing how Lee Sunny seemed to believe the rumor a lot, She asked curiously. "And who might that be?"
"Mr. Baek!" She replied making Han Seoyeon's smile to twitch a moment. She knew well who this Mr. Baek was from the files that the previous assistant wrote. The person who always start false rumor.
"I apologize if this sounds rude but it's better not to believe his words, Mr. Lee."
Lee Sunny clicked her tongue thrice. "No, no, no. Secretary Han, I know well just how unbelievable Mr. Baek's informations are but this time I received something else that works as a concrete evidence!"
"Oh?" Han Seoyeon saw Lee Sunny taking out her phone in a hurry, showing the picture of Jung Hwa in a splendid ash suit and black tie with a woman in a beautiful tight red dress that pressed tightly to her hourglass figure.
"Who might this woman be?" She asked.
"You don't know her, Secretary Han?! Don't you ever watch TV?"
I never, Han Seoyeon replied at her heart.
"This woman is the new rising actress Ms. Kang Shiran. She's three years younger than CEO Jung and is also the daughter of the KN Company! So? What do you think, Secretary Han? This picture is a proof, right?" Lee Sunny sighed. "I thought that the CEO deserve someone more like an angel, yes someone like me-"
"Thank you for the information, Ms. Lee." Han Seoyeon cut between her words.
To one this may be a very hot picture, proving Jung Hwa has a relationship with the woman beside him, but to Han Seoyeon's eyes, it looked like a picture that was taken only at a perfect time. After all, picture can't prove anything, right? Han Seoyeon once lived with debt so she was excellent in reading people's emotion and in this picture, Jung Hwa looked rather, normal. He had an utterly different expression then the time he asked her out. At that time he looked more passionate, more ethereal, more delighted, and more-
No, wait! Why did I suddenly remembered that?! Han Seoyeon scolded herself.
Shaking her head, she turned with a smile. As a secretary, she has to protect the boss's perfect image and it was the job that Jung Hwa told her personally. Thus she replied with a straight tone. "From what I see, there is nothing like what you have said earlier with the picture, the CEO often stand with beautiful people you see, so I don't think it's anything new to see him standing with a beautiful woman."
Lee Sunny looked at her blankly, "Is that so?"
"Well yes, the CEO is a very handsome person, don't you agree? It's normal for anyone to misunderstand his relationship when he stood beside a beautiful person because of his single status." Han Seoyeon spoke fluently, convincing so that the rumor wouldn't turn to a hot potato and thought of discussing the matter with Jung Hwa when she had the chance later.
"That's true." Lee Sunny bought Han Seoyeon's words easily. "Oh, that's right. We will be having a welcoming party after the work time. Remember it's-"
"HanBam barbecue restaurant. I remember, thank you, Ms. Lee." As the two were speaking, a shadow of someone stood behind the pillar, overhearing their words, and gave a hum.
