Roughly five hours went by, and there were a few things Cao Bei learned. One, every skill he obtained in the game for his avatar in the game was real. He did not try them all out, but the most basic ones he was able to use with ease, and felt as if he could use the higher ranked skills as well.
Second, Cao Bei never felt hungry or thirsty. Why? He did not know, that may be due to him being his avatar or due to him achieving a high realm. He is what mortals would consider an Immortal. A being that stood at the apex of the world.
Lastly, Cao Bei could not move more than two hundred feet in any direction. If he tried he was stopped by an invisible barrier, and a notification rang out in his head telling him that he was shackled.
Well, this was stupid. Is what Cao Bei thought to himself as he sat down cross legged.
He was almighty and powerful, but he was bound to this one area.
It was frustrating for him, and there was very little for him to do.
He simply closed his eyes and meditated. He did not need to do this, but for some reason meditating helped him pass the time.
There was also the bonus of him being able to sense everything around him. Nothing within twenty miles escaped his senses.
He could even 'see' the village that was not too far from here.
It was small, only having roughly fifty villagers present.
His attention shifted when he felt someone enter his zone. It was a new life, someone young at that. They were swiftly running through the forest, dodging trees as they constantly glanced back behind them.
This young person was running in his direction, and with their speed Cao Bei estimated they should arrive within thirty minutes.
Suddenly he noticed the presence of ten men entering his zone as well. They were chasing after the youngster that entered before.
Cao Bei smiled as he watched what would happen.
'Finally.'
Entertainment! The villagers were fairly boring to watch, they went about their daily lives doing very little. This was his only source of entertainment for now, so he was forced to watch them when he was bored. Which was basically all the time.
Now though, something new has arrived!
Cao Bei wished he had popcorn.
The youngster was moving fast, and Cao Bei was surprised they did not trip and fall like those actors in horror movies. Someone always fell, as the predator walked or chased after them.
It was not long before the youngster appeared right in front of him.
It was a young girl, roughly fourteen years old. She had long dark blue hair, light blue eyes with creamy skin. Her clothing was a mess, as there were rips and tears all over revealing a bit more of her creamy skin.
Cuts were on her slim arms, and Cao Bei could see a bruise on her shoulder.
She stopped and stared at him.
"Sir, please help me! I am Mu Na, princess of the Winter Palace. There are traitorous bastards chasing me, please help."
She pleaded.
Cao Bei looked past the young girl in silence.
