It had already been a day since my new sister had fallen into the woods. My brother had mobilized the tribe to try to begin her search. However, until now we had not even been able to enter the forest. A group of men went to look for my father, while another group went with my brother and me to the entrance of the forest to try to start the search. But we had been denied entry.
Before my father became the leader of the tribe, the relationship with the nearby tribes was quite bad and there were constant wars. One of my father's main triumphs in taking over the village was establishing peace with the three nearby tribes. They all committed to an agreement in which an important point was the forest of oblivion. In front of this forest the four tribes were constantly arguing about who had sovereignty, since, although this forest is not different from a prison, it is a memory of the goddess and a holy place.
Therefore, to solve this problem, the tribes reached an agreement that every six months they would rotate to guard the entrance to the forest. At this time the custodians were from the tribe of the sun and although our relations with them could be considered stable, they prohibited the entrance to the forest.
However, they understood the seriousness of the matter, so they sent one of the caretakers to their tribe to bring a representative and be able to negotiate a solution. They mentioned that, although they understood the seriousness of the situation, they did not know if they could help us with it. Since, although the lost person was sanctified, her presentation to the entire community had not yet been made, so without a representative approved by the other tribes to ensure the veracity of our words, nothing could be done about it.
In our tribe, there were only two representatives with enough power to clarify this situation. My father and the priestess. So, my brother and I ran to the village to find the priestess, but when we got there we found that the house was empty. All the belongings were taken away and there was only the daughter of the priestess crying on the ground saying that she was abandoned.
