The ride to the hospital was hard I blacked out from pain through the ride. It was just as we parked that my phone rang my mother's ring my memory of the last call entered my head.
"Hi Eliza talking Madison can't answer right now. What can we do for ye?"
"I need a sitter. Why can't she answer?" my mom's voice rang on the car speakers.
"So loud." whined Daten.
"She has a broken arm dislocate shoulder and a broken back. I'll see if Davon is near to help with your children. You are going to be his in laws he should get to know you all."
"True. wait what?" mom was even louder. I winced with the rest. Irwin opened the door handing me gently to his brother. He then got out taking me back.
"See you at the house." Irwin nodded at his brother before heading towards the hospital.
"Here is your phone." Eliza put it on my belly and waved.
"Hello?" a male voice came.
"Hi Davon. Where are you at this time? I hope your still in her home town because she needs your help."
"Irwin this is not you phone who is she? Maddie is that whom?"
"Your sister Eliza called you on my phone to help my parents find the two daughters that are missing and baby sit my young siblings. yes this is Maddie. Zara and Mia went out last night and has not returned. Zara is 19 and can take care of herself most the time unless her boyfriend wants money. Mia she is twelve she should not be with Zara when this happens but she is a good card player and Zara tries to pay debts off using her to win money. I normally get them out but I can't right now I'm in Iceland hurt bad. besides those two there will only be three other children." I fought with the pain I know my voice did not find it.
"Why did you get hurt your fighting partner was gone ?"
"I'm afraid lord draft refused to give up watching a fight so when Rose disappeared may or may not have been helped by dad. He put sarah up with Madison. He is dead he tried to threaten me with Rollins son when he was there. I know your practical here being you can fly pretty fast, but can you please turn around and help out Madison mom tonight. They are going to the beach boys concert." I heard a click. Then he was standing in front of me.
"Your right I'm already here why waste time at the hospital she is ours let's just heal her." He whispered only inches from his face.
"I want her to have a choice and to want to be with us together. She may not like the idea of bring two men's wife." Irwin hissed back as soft as he. I only heard this words because I was between them being held by both. We stood in front of the door.
"Then ask her or at least tell her. I know your attract to her as much as I am."
"Yes I am the courage she had facing Sarah protecting the kids because I could watch them has only fortified that. I hate seeing her hurt this bad. I love her enough to give her the choice. We heal her and bound I want it to be in marriage not a loyal friend." They faced off in these low whispers.
The interruption caused it to stop, "Is that an injured girl in great need?"
"Yes" they said in unison this cause the men that ask to step back startled.
"I can get a wheelchair. "
"A bed would be better she is struggling to feel her legs." Again they talked at once. Davon didn't even know my injuries. The startled nurse nodded and went back in.
"Don't you have duties."
"No Rollins is here." They went back to their fight soft whispers.
"I want to be here with her as much as you do."
"Why don't you both go as soon as they bring me in." I said with a pained teasing note.
"No. You should not be a lone at this time." They spoke together Davon added "I will go. I will be on this phone the whole time." After those words he kissed me on my cheek and disappeared.
Irwin put a bluetooth earpiece in his ear instantly on with Davon. The bed wheels squeaked as the nurse brought out the bed. I was laid on it. Irwin walked by my side. "You should check in first."
"I'll do it why don't you hand it over so we can get her to x-rays." Irwin encourage.
"How old are you young lady?" "eighteen"
"How did you get hurt?" "I fell from a high place." I answered his questions as Irwin got me registered.
"You can tell me if your in a bad situation I can get you help he whispered. I gave him a smile.
"How are you going to do that?" I whispered back.
"So you are in a bad situation."
"No my situation right now is only bad because I am hurt and until you get me into the doc to find the problem fix it I can't go home. The situation I'm in was solved by him. I only wish he would have come a little sooner. " He was staring at me. He jumped when Irwin touched his shoulder.
"All done and paid for please let's go so Madison is no longer in pain." Irwin encourage the nurse. He nodded beginning to wheel the bed into the exam room.
"I not good at except help from human let alone trusting them." he said in my ear.
"How do you think I feel? Your a mythical creatures that eats meat. I am meat prince." I whispered back.
"She got you there" said Davon softly through the ear peice.
"You can't go in with her during the x-ray." said the nurse.
"Will go in while you set her up and leave with you to take the pictures. I know the routine." Irwin said with a smile.
"She doesn't need a guardian."
" True but I love her." This was said in stereo. The nurse eyes went wide.
"Then why is she hurt falling from a high surface."
"My niece and nephew was in harm's way my hands were tied. The time it took to do any of this was less than ten seconds can you truly say you would have time to reacted to protect all your loved ones." They were having a stair down that warmed the room.
"My I ask you something nurse that I don't know but seems to know and care about me."
"Sure. I'm Zack Black."
"Why do you think I was abused?"
"I have seen this before I lost someone to abuse. You said you were in a situation."
"Did you want to know what it is?" I saw Irwin hold his breath.
"Yes." Zack said wheeling me in to x-ray room.
"On my graduation night the all night party the school puts on do you know what I'm talking about." He nodded. They lifted me onto the table that would give me a body scan. I continued, "I went outside with friends to play a night game known as cops and robbers. Do you know that game?"
"Yes now don't move. I'll be right back." I laid still holding my breath. He entered again with Irwin in toe.
"What happened? I get a feeling it was no ordinary game."
"You got that right I was shot with a sleeping dart. All robbers were and put in cages the size of a dog canal. We were all brought here to attend a bride finding dance put on by Lord Draft."
"Oh did you get fought over? Was there a cat fight?" He asked taking me to a room eyes wide his attention fully on me.
"Yes."
"Cat fight? no cats were involved." Irwan said.
"It is a slang way that two ladies fought because ladies have nails and most the time scream or hiss the whole fight." I explained to Irwin. He smiled and nodded.
"So this man broke up the cat fight and you were thrown off of a balcony in the process." The nurse guess.
"Why were his niece and nephew there?" He asked after a moment.
"My ex-fiance is the daughter of the dance he invited me I had no reason not to bring them. I was not told it was a bride finding dance or that was the night she was going to tell me. Madison held her own and tried to solve this peaceful that impressed me therefore I am in love." Irwin supplied it fit in the story well even if it was two different cat fights with four men and four women.
"I'll go get those and bring the doc in to see you after he looks at it. He left us alone.
"I don't think he would leave." Davon said.
"I found you sister Zara she looks dead. I have put her on the back porch of you home at least it has a great deal of your smell and your name is spoken often. I knock so someone would find her she is very pretty girl. I am searching for Mia now I have her sent but I am not liking where it is taking me." Davon change the subject and I began to worry.
"Why is that?"Irwin asked just as a knock came on the door then the doctor with the nurse. They put up the photos of my body x-ray.
"You are very lucky young lady. It looks like you only fracture your right arm and your tailbone. This right here looks like a different injury from your fall. Four ribs and three of your back bone have small fractures and are swelling greatly I want to put you on a night some medicine.
"How did this happen?"
"If it goes down will I feel my legs again?" I had no way to answer that without telling them about dragons I don't want to be consider crazy.
"You should but you will have to relearn how. Zack said you were in a cat fight this is all from that fight." he didn't really ask a question so I nodded slightly. "I am going to put you to sleep to set your arm and the rest of you I can."
"Okay can I be transferred to my home town for recovery?"
"Where is that?" he asked me as Zack prepared me.
"Colorado."
"Madison we have trouble Mia is in a really bad position. I can't go in without guns blassing." Davon said loudly. Everyone froze in the room.
"What about going in as a buyer?" I asked after a little thought.
"I rather not spend my money on that."
"Call the police." snapped the nurse, "and get off the phone."
"I did do that but they are on the move as if they were tipped off. I have to delay them." Davon said calmly.
"Go in guns blassing save the kids and blow up the factory." I said without hesitation.
"You sure."
"Yep."
"I would rather having you recovering near us." he said before falling silent.
"I am going to say I don't hear anything. Let's get that arm and shoulder set." The doctor said putting me to sleep.
