Ancestra put down her hands after her declaration of revenge. She sighed, relaxing herself. The dangerous glint in her eyes slowly fizzled out like a dying spark.
"I say that…" Ancestra sighed, this time out of cluelessness. Her eyes drooped down along with her lips into a small frown.
"But I'm not really the type to rush in recklessly…" She closed her eyes and thought for a moment.
"And I doubt I'm as strong or stronger as Sinsear." She counted one on her finger.
"I also don't know the extent of my power…" She counted two.
"…Agh! There's too many unknowns!" She scratched her head annoyingly. She sat down and crossed her legs and arms, thinking.
"Mom said she's good at using her head… Am I the same?" She asked herself. Ancestra felt indifferent to the mention of Zanien even though she just recently died.
'They will return when the time comes.' A fleeting, silent, and hushed female voice whispers in the back of her mind. Ancestra stood up faster than she could process, frantically looking around.
"Who's there?!" She shouted, her bandaged arm throbbing at the same intervals as her heart. Now that it brought her attention to it, she relaxed her posture and stared at her blood made arm.
"I didn't notice until now… but did Sinsear cut my arm…?" She whispered to herself, staring deep into the seemingly infinite depth of the coagulated blood she has for an arm. It flashed a picture of Sinsear's face, and her wicked grin.
'"Also I'll take your arm since I can't kill ya. Have fun, ya hear? Come and get me if you can~"' Her loose, informal way of talking was reminded to her by the Rose. She felt her heart tighten again, feeling anger.
"Kh… I have to get used to this fast. I won't last at this rate." Ancestra calmed herself down with slow breathing. The Rose loosens its grip.
"Is this what Mom meant by "strongest when calm"…?" asked Ancestra, clutching her chest. Speaking of her chest…
"I haven't really noticed, but I feel taller…" She looked down on herself.
"Oooh! I have a chest now! Mom called hers… boobies, was it?" Ancestra smiled in surprise, pushing her modestly sized breasts. A pleasurable tingle surged through her body.
"Ah…" A small moan escaped her lips, followed by her blushing in the process.
"What was that sound I made?!" She asked herself, panicking. The Rose once again tightened her heart. Ancestra calmed herself down.
'This is exhausting…' She thought, sighing.
"I have more questions than answers, dammit!" She punched the ground with an uncontrolled amount of strength. The dead soil rumbles audibly, making a few fissures that stretched to two meters at maximum.
"Oh my Ophelia, that's strong as hell!" Ancestra jumped from the amount of strength she had. And with more uncontrolled strength, she jumped about more five meters than she intended.
"This is a problem…" She fell back down on the ground, feeling mentally exhausted. After a moment, she stood up.
"The more I think alone, the more I don't know about where to start…" She sighed again.
"Didn't Dad tell me that… what was it…" Ancestra racked her brain, scratching it in the process. It felt really good.
""A journey to a thousand miles starts with a single step?"" She recalled. She kept scratching her head.
"Ow!" She incidentally dug a nail into her scalp, once again caused by her uncontrollable strength. The wound didn't have time to bleed, nor did it have enough time to surface as an actual wound.
"And it doesn't anymore." She looked at her left hand, her nails long.
"I have to train…" was one of the goals she set on her mind.
"I have to learn… I have to train… and I have to control my power… whatever it is." Ancestra finally decided, realizing that the more she keeps thinking the more time she's wasting.
"I have to find a village first." She sat upright, standing up for the third time already. She patted herself down to rid herself of dirt and dust. Only then did she get a good look of her body.
"I'm taller, I have boobies now, my legs are a little thicker, my left arm has muscles… Wait, did I suddenly grow up?!" Her eyes widened in surprise, the Rose once again suffocating her heart. She breathed out, calming down.
"Mom… Dad… I think I skipped a few years of natural growth…" She brought her palm to cover her face. She spent a moment of silence to herself.
"I think this is enough thinking. I have to start moving!" She raised her hands up, motivated to start.
"Now to start moving, I must walk…" She told herself, looking around the barren wasteland.
"Where the hell do I go? Where did Julie even go in this empty place?" Ancestra sighed, and started walking in a random direction.
Days pass by without Ancestra knowing, cursed skies of the boundary not affected by the natural laws of the world. The sun and moon cannot be seen from the boundary, as the Lord of Darkness deemed it share the same fate as Xenaron. It was also the reason why the soil in the boundary is as dense as clay bricks. And Ancestra punched it with the strength enough to create multiple fissures and a fist engraving.
One day, after walking for Ophelia knows how long, Ancestra finally saw other colors besides black, purple, grey, and red. A verdant expanse of green plains greets her eyes from hundreds of meters over.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Glee and curiosity was written all over the girl's face, her heart tightening. Disregarding the pain in her chest, or more accurately that the feelings she experienced was overpowering the pain from the Rose, she increased her speed by threefold, becoming almost a blur to the human eye.
"There's green every where! The sky is blue! Are those floating fog or what?! WHAT ARE ALL THESE THINGS?!" In less than a minute did she come out of the boundary between Ensteris and Xenaron. There was kingdom a few hundred meters away from her, impossible to notice. Especially as someone sharp like Ancestra.
The wide plains had monsters and animals of almost all shapes and sizes, some chasing another and vice versa. There were trees scattered around here and there, but one wouldn't call it enough to be a forest. It was more of those trees in the middle of nowhere providing shade to the tired and weary. Ancestra spent the whole half of a day examining whatever these animals and monsters are. Some of the hostile ones she had no problem defeating with nothing but brute strength.
'Something tells me I should keep these for later…' She thought, feeling that it was her intuition talking. She dragged these monsters by their tails, more than a dozen on both hands. The combined weight of these monsters she brought to the large kingdom gates startled the guards that were guarding it.
"Stop right there! What is your business in the kingdom of Ensteris?" said one of the guards, raising his hand to stop her. Ancestra understood him, and stopped.
"Hello there! Is… there any way I can sell these animals I got?" Ancestra, being a pretty girl since birth, was rightfully more stunning due to her sudden growth spurt despite having the mentality of a young child. She smiled bashfully, seemingly embarrassed, almost enough to mask the immense strength that she has. She couldn't have defeated less than a dozen monsters at her level, after all. Thank the Blood Rose.
"Animals? You have quite a lot there. And they're unskinned… Are they still alive?" asked the first guard.
"I knocked them out clean, as much as I could, anyway! I can't really control my strength yet, you see… It's a bit embarrassing…" She chuckled with a pink flush on her cheeks.
"Aren't those all valuable monsters she has behind her? And there's more than twelve in there…" The second guard walked nearer to inspect her handheld cargo.
"Do you have any type of identification? What's your name?" asked the first guard who didn't come near her.
"I only have my name and my parents'. I'm Ancestra Elena Enicillis, nice to meet you!" The girl beamed.
"You seem very innocent, but with your bandaged arm and those animals behind you, there's more to it than that, huh?" The second guard loosened up and smiled. Ancestra gave him a smile as well.
"But man, you smell horrible. You might want to take a bath when you get into the city." The second guard added.
"Ahahaha… It's been a week, I think? It's been hard last week, after all." She giggled awkwardly.
"You don't seem that dangerous, so we'll let you in for free." The first guard sighed and smiled, knocking on the large doors five times, followed by it opening up.
"And because of how much you're dragging with you, we'll fix you a cart. Don't want you causing traffic for everybody now." He followed up.
"Ohhhh! Thanks so much, you two!" She let go of the monsters' tails to shake both their hands.
"Just tell the driver to get you to the Guild Senida. They'll know where it'll be." said the second guard.
Just like the first guard had told her, a four-wheeled cart came out to greet her, with two horses pulling it and the driver being there.
"Heya, lil' missy! Can ya load all yer stuff on the back? I'm afraid I'm not gonna be able to help much with that!" chuckled the driver.
"I got it, don't worry!" Ancestra dragged the animals she got and stacked them up on the cart, each with a thud. She was done in two minutes flat.
"Whoo! That's hefty, but we'll manage! Hop on in, missy! Where are we headin'?" asked the driver, with Ancestra sitting on top of the stack of animals she hunted.
"To Guild Senida! I wanna sell these boys I got!" She patted the stack of animals with her bandaged hand.
"Alright, we'll be there in ten minutes with this amount of load. Is that alright with ya, missy?" asked the driver, looking back at her.
"…? A-Ah! Yeah, that's alright!" She blanked out for a second, before returning back to her senses. She felt a large surge of power inject itself into her, and the animals she was sitting on were lighter and softer than before. She looked down on them, finding that they're all deflated and she could feel their bones underneath her.
"…? Did the load become lighter? Missy, what did ya do?" asked the driver as they travelled, not being able to look back at the female.
"I… I have no idea… but you think we'll be able to get there faster because of it?" asked Ancestra awkwardly with a chuckle.
"Sure do! We can get there in less than five minutes!" said the driver enthusiastically.
"Full speed ahead then, good driver!" Ancestra beamed and pumped her fist high.
Ancestra looked around as they travelled the neatly paved stone roads of what she learned to be the Kingdom of Ensteris, or its rightful name, Tryndamere. Apparently the current queen didn't want to use the true name since it sounds too scary, so Ensteris she deemed it. It meant "peace and harmony between races for eternity" which to Ancestra, sounded splendid and very appealing.
